Chapter 3: The Villages Come Together

Groans of pain rang through the forest as 18 ninjas were walking, actually most of them were staggering, to the Hidden Dawn Village's gate. All of the young shinobi groaned again and fell down on their butts or knees in exhaustion. Jiraiya, Tsunade, Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai, and Gai all sighed as they allowed their disciples to rest.

“Man! How long does it take to get to this village anyway, huh?” Naruto complain as he looked up at Kakashi.

“Oh shut up, Naruto!” Sakura scolded breathily as she weakly whacks him in the head. “I'm even too tired to hit you.” Sasuke stayed silent as he took deep breaths and lay back on his hands. This time a groan was heard and everyone turned to Shikamaru.

“Man, what a drag! How come I'm going to this tournament too? I don't even wanna be in it.” Shikamaru groaned as Ino went to whack him also.

“What are you talking about? This is a great honor!” Ino yelled at him as Shikamaru scoffed and looked the other way.

“I'm so hungry…Why did we come here so early?” Chouji moaned as he sat on the ground. “We didn't even have breakfast this morning.”

“Hey, Guy-sensei how much further until we get there?” wheezed Tenten.

“We're just a few miles away. Come on and get up!” Guy-sensei yelled at his students as they groaned and wobbled up from the floor.

“Let's go, guys. This is your last break so you better pace yourselves.” Kakashi-sensei said as he and the other sensei's started walking without them.

“Hey wait up…don't leave us…sensei!” all of the students yelled as they ran after their teachers. Sasuke and Neji sighed as they also ran after their teachers. It has been at least a year or two since the last Chuunin Exams. Everyone is older and now is competing in the Tournament.

Naruto has moved on from Sakura as so did Hinata with Naruto. Hinata now finally sees that Naruto was more like a big brother to her and now she realized that she liked Kiba. Everyone has grown a little and not just physical features and their clothes, even they're relationships with each other.

After a few more miles and over hundreds of pit stops, the group finally makes it to the Village Hidden in by the Light of Dawn.

“We're here!” Naruto yelled with glee.

“Finally!” Sakura said. Tsunade sighed and she said in her mind, `We could have been here a lot faster if those little brats could keep up.'

Kakashi turned to look at all of the ninjas and they were covered in dirt and filth. Only the Sensei's looked decent enough.

`I wonder what they'll think of us if we go in like this.' Kakashi said in his mind as he looked up at the gate.

“Excuse me!” Kakashi yelled. A ninja in the watch tower leaned forward. He looked at the group and made a disgusted face.

“What happen to you guys?” the guard said.

“We came from the Village hidden in the Leaves and we are here for the Tournament.” Asuma yelled up to the towers.

The ninja suddenly laugh and yelled back down, “Did you guys know that we send some horses so you guys wouldn't have to walk?”

“What?!” all of the apprentice ninja yelled. They turned to Tsunade-Hokage in anger. She just smirked and ignored them. `Tsunade-sama!' They all yelled in their minds.

“Why did you make us walk, granny!” Naruto yelled at the Hokage.

She growled and yelled at Naruto, “Because you keep calling me granny!”

The ninja laughed again and said, “You poor saps, just come in.” the gates open and revealed the Village Hidden by the Light of Dawn.

“Wow…” The younger shinobi said in awe. The Village was a big village with wonderful huts and houses. The houses and huts were very similar to houses and huts that were made in Japan in the olden times. People bustled through the streets, chatting and walking with their children. The children happily chased after each other in the streets. To say the least, this village isn't a slow village.

“It's so pretty!” Sakura said as the village seems to sparkle in her eyes. “I never have seen the sky so blue before.”

“OWW NO POKING IN THE EYES!” a feminine voice yelled.

“Huh, what's that?” Naruto said, confused. The Hidden Leaf Village Ninja turned and saw two girls fighting and a man pulling them apart.

“WILL YOU LET GO OF MY HAIR?!” Hiken responded as Ryu pulled harder making Hiken yelp.

“I WILL IF YOU STOP POKING ME IN THE EYE!” Ryu yelled back as Hiken tried to jab another finger in Ryu's eye.

“SHUT THE HELL UP!” Keiji yelled as he finally tears the two apart. He growled as he held both of them back by their collars as they tried to claw at each other.

As they finally stopped struggling, Ryu turned to Keiji and said, “She poked me in the eye! She should go on a D-Rank Mission!” Ryu turned back to Hiken and closed her red eye.

“No! Make her go on a D-Rank Mission! She's the one pulling my hair. I have a reason!!” Hiken growled at Ryu as she rubbed her head.

“I'll give you a reason, COME HERE!” Ryu yelled as she lunged at Hiken, but was pulled back by Keiji.

“KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!” Keiji yelled as he bonked the two on the head again, leaving two large lumps on their head. The two finally settled down and growled at each other. Then they both scoffed simultaneously and turned around in unison, crossing their arms. Aya laughed nervously as she stood in the background. The Konoha ninja sweat-drop.

`What a strange team.' Jiraiya thought as he turned to Tsunade.

`This is a weird group.' Tsunade thought as she approached the sensei. Keiji looked up and smiled and stood straight. He took out his hand and they both shook hands.

“My god, I'm so sorry! I didn't realize there were people watching. You must be Lord Hokage, am I right?”

Tsunade nodded with a wavering smile, a sweat-drop, and answered, “Yes I am. And don't worry about your students; my younger ninjas are exactly the same. They are your students, right?”

“I'm afraid not.” Keiji said making Aya, Hiken, and Ryu turn to him in surprise. “They're my servants.”

“SERVANTS?! LET ME AT HIM!” Hiken and Ryu screamed as they try to lunge themselves at Keiji. Aya laughed lightly and pulled them back by their collar.

“Come on, guys. He was only kidding.” Aya said nervously as Keiji ignored the two angry ninjas.

“I'm gonna kill him!” the two yelled as they started to drag Aya along with them as they tried to attack Keiji.

“I SAID YOUR SERVANTS SO YOU'RE SERVANTS!” Keiji yelled as he whacked them on the head again, his veins pulsating. Aya quickly let go and took a side-step from them.

`Uh-oh…This might not be good.' Aya thought.

“That's what you think, Keiji-sensei!” Ryu yelled, a large lump on her head.

“Yea, don't make us beat you up!” Hiken yelled also, rubbing her head.

“SHUT UP!” Keiji yelled as he whacked them again. This time they were all fighting each other in a giant dust cloud. Aya and the Konoha ninja sweat-drop.

Aya sighed and thought, `Sensei is right. No matter how many years, they haven't changed at all.'

Aya then looked up and noticed the ninja staring at them. Aya smiled and ran up to them and bowed. They all smiled and bowed back.

“Hello, and welcome to the Hidden Dawn Village.” Aya said with a gentle smile. Then Aya chuckled and added, scratching the back of her head, “I'm sorry about all of this nonsense. Usually, they're not like this.”

“It's quite alright, really.” Tsunade insisted.

“So are you his real student?” Sakura asked with a smile and a giggle.

Aya laughed lightly, still scratching the back of her head and answered, “Yes, we all are, even though he denies it.”

Keiji then came back wiping his hands and said, “So where were we?”

Ryu and Hiken groaned as they staggered towards their sensei. They were breathing heavily as they stumbled towards their sensei. Their face and clothes were cover in even more dirt than before.

“Gosh, you're mean!” Hiken groaned as she rubbed her arms. Hiken pouted and said, “We were just kidding!”

“Yea what kind of Bushoukage are you?!” Ryu yelled angrily as she rubbed her head.

“HE'S THE BUSHOUKAGE?!” All of the Konoha ninja yelled in surprise as the others stared at them.

“Yea, who you think he was?” Ryu asked, patting the dirt off her clothes.

All of the younger ninjas began stuttering out reasons, but none of them were good reasons. All of the elder ninjas just blinked in surprise. Ryu chuckled. This happens every time you first meet Keiji-sensei. He doesn't seem like a Bushoukage considering he looked so young and he doesn't act like a Bushoukage. But everyone in the village had a great respect for him and loved him dearly. Everyone loved him except Ryu's father, Ryu the 9th. Ryu the 9th believed that Keiji-sensei was too soft and not fit enough to be the Bushoukage and for the first time in years, Ryu the 9th wasn't offered to be the Bushoukage and the name went to Keiji-sensei. This angered Ryu the 9th to no end, but he soon got over it in a few weeks to Ryu's surprise. After that, Ryu the 9th never talked about it again. Ryu was puzzled for a while. She knew her father, and something like this never goes away so easily, but soon Ryu brushed it off and continued on with her new Bushoukage sensei.

Tsunade then cleared her throat and walked up to Keiji-sensei and bowed.

“I'm honored, to finally meet you, Lord Bushoukage.” Tsunade said, but Keiji took her left hand with a smile, to Tsunade's surprised and kissed it.

“The honor is all mine.” Keiji said, leaving Tsunade blushing. Ryu glanced back and forth from Tsunade and Keiji and she smirked and nudged Hiken. Hiken smirked back. Ryu cleared her throat after a while, and Tsunade and Keiji quickly let go of each others hands and blushed.

“So, Keiji-sensei…” Ryu started. “Why don't you and Lord Hokage,” She gestured to Tsunade. “Go and…” Ryu hesitated and then said, “Get acquainted with one another.” Ryu smiled innocently as Keiji eyed her.

Hiken got the hint and jumped in. “Yea, Sensei! Maybe you could show Lord Hokage around the village. After all, the Ninja Conference won't start in another three hours, right?”

“Ninja conference?” Naruto questioned.

“What the hell is that?” Kiba asked, loudly.

Aya heard his question and turned to him. She smiled and pointed a finger up and answered, “Well, when a ninja tournament is about to begin, all of the participating ninja are supposed to go to a Ninja Conference, where they explain the rules, meet other ninjas, and meet the ninjas representing the home village.”

“Yea, what Aya said, that's what a ninja conference is.” Ryu said with a smile. She turned back to Keiji. “So it does start in three more hours or so, right?”

Keiji raised his eye brow as he said slowly, “Yes…”

“Then why don't you and Lord Hokage and all of the Konoha ninjas take a look around the village.” Aya suggested, joining in. They all smiled innocently at Keiji, unblinkingly as Keiji stared back. Naruto and the others turned back and forth from Keiji and the girls. The girls stilled smiled innocently still not blinking and Keiji still stared at them. His eye began to twitch as they stayed unfazed.

“Urgh!” He grunted as he blinked and rubbed his eyes. The girl snickered as Ryu, with a smirk on her face, did a small jump and somehow launched herself away from the others in a gust of wind, Hiken also soon disappeared in a blur and Aya, with a wave to the Konoha ninjas, lifted her left foot and then dashed away, smoke falling behind her. Everyone blinked and gasp in surprise.

`Damn, are they fast!' the younger ninjas said.

When Keiji finally opened his eyes, he searched for the girls. He groaned when he soon finds that they're gone. He turned watery eyes to the amused ninjas and said, “Well, let's begin the tour.” And with that they followed.

Naruto chuckled. `Man.' He thought. `I wonder who else I'll meet in this village.'
