Chapter Seven: Code Red!

 

The sound of the Red Hot Chili Peppers woke Naruto from his sleep. He rolled over onto his soft pillow that smelled like Sasuke. He opened his eyes and he blinked.

 

“Sasuke!” The raven shot up and fell off the bed.

 

“Naruto you usuratonkachi!” Sasuke slapped Naruto on the back of the head when he finally stood up. Naruto cursed and jumped up, looking for his phone. Whoever it was hung up when he finally flipped it open.

 

“Damn it!” Naruto cursed. There was a knock on his door.

 

“Come in.” Naruto shouted as he went through his recent calls.

 

“Tsunade has called an emergency meeting.” Tsuki said as he opened the door.

 

“Alright, I'll drop you off at your house on the way there.” Naruto told Sasuke.

 

“Actually, Tsunade said to bring him too.” Tsuki told him.

 

“I need to call my brother and tell him where I am…I kind of ran off last night.” Naruto tossed Sasuke his cell phone as he ran to his closet.

 

“No orange…” Sasuke said as he dialed his brother's cell phone. A chuckle was heard along with the sound of the door being closed. Naruto's hand shifted from the orange shirt he was going to wear to a navy blue one. He grabbed a pair of black jeans and ran into the bathroom.

 

“Hello?” Itachi's voice came through the phone.

 

“Hey aniki…sorry for running off last night.”

 

“Damn it Sasuke I was fucking worried.”

 

“Sorry. I'm at Naruto's we are going out for something to eat.” Sasuke heard his brother sigh.

 

“At least come get a fresh change of clothes and your cell phone.” Itachi told him.

 

“Alright. Bye aniki.”

 

“Bye.”

 

“So we need to stop at your house?” Naruto asked as he came in freshly changed.

 

“Yeah,” Sasuke answered as he followed Naruto out the door.

 

“Tsuki you ready to go?”

 

“No, go on without me.” The tall vampire told them from his room.

 

“Alright see ya soon.” Sasuke and Naruto left the apartment.

 

 

“This is your bike?” Sasuke asked. It was a 2007 Suzuki GSX 1400 [1] and it was black with orange and red flames.

 

“Yep!” Naruto smiled as he mounted the bike. Sasuke had to shake his head to clear it from the voodoo the bike had him under. He slipped on the back and huffed.

 

“I have to ride bitch huh.”

 

“Well you were always uke in our relationship…plus I don't trust you enough to let you drive my baby.” Naruto said with a hint of humor in his voice.

 

“What ever.” Naruto chuckled as he started up the bike and pulled out of the parking lot.

 

 

Itachi's jaw dropped when Naruto drove up to his apartment building with Sasuke on the back.

 

“You let him ride without a helmet!” Itachi almost shouted.

 

“He's fine isn't he?” Naruto said as Sasuke slid off the back. When Sasuke reached the step were Itachi was standing the shared a look of regret.

 

“The past is the past.” Sasuke told his older brother.

 

“That it is.” Itachi agreed.

 

Sasuke was back a few minutes later and they rode off to the meeting.

 

 

Naruto pushed open the doors to the school like he had done a thousand times before. A cold chill made its way up his spine. This was his last year here. He may look 18 to all of the kids here but he was not. He was 422 years old. Tsunade told him he looked the age he stopped ageing at. 25. Naruto had huffed at that comment saying that he was well over her in years. That had made the Sannin incarnate smile. What he wouldn't give to be back in Konoha, His Konoha.

 

“But we are here now.” Sasuke told him. Naruto stopped walking and looked at Sasuke. Had he said that out loud?

 

“You are more obvious than you think Naruto.” Sasuke said as he passed him and entered the Principal's office. Naruto sighed and followed the raven inside the small office. Everyone but Tsuki was there; the meeting would not begin until Naruto's right hand arrived. Naruto snorted at that thought. He had met Tsuki 200 years ago. A lone Vampire following his need to feed. The only thing he knew was his name, or the name that his sire had given him before dumping him off in a dumpster. Tsuki was an incomplete Vampire. The only thing he received from the siring was the need to feed and inhuman strength. He could stand the sunlight and his senses were that of a normal human. His mind was sharp for not remembering anything about his past. An Incomplete Vampire however could make more Vampires. Complete Vampires if given the correct amount of blood. Tsuki had yet to find anyone he liked long enough to do so. Naruto was his only true friend. Yuki shifted uneasily in his seat. Ying and Yang slithered around his forearms. Naruto's eyes turned cold. This was serious.

 

“This is your first `Code Red' isn't it Yuki?” Tsunade asked and Yuki nodded his head.

 

“This is seriously a Code Red?” Naruto said loudly then shouted. “I will do nothing without my right hand!”

 

“Tsuki is not here yet. Calm down Naruto.” Tsunade ordered.

 

“If Tsuki is your right hand then what does that make me?” Sasuke asked. Naruto's cerulean gaze shifted to Sasuke's onyx.

 

“My left hand.” Naruto answered truthfully. That second the door opened and a calm looking Tsuki walked in. He was decked out in black leather and had his Tachi strapped to his back.

 

“Where is the other Uchiha?” Tsunade asked. Naruto paled.

 

“I was told that only Sasuke was supposed to come.” Naruto answered.

 

“I left him out because I feared he was apart of `Them'.” Tsuki told her.

 

“Tsuki! Itachi has been reincarnated yes, but this Itachi has no connection with `Them'.” Sai interjected.

 

“Neji! Send a team after Itachi now!” Tsunade ordered.

 

“Wait a minute! Who is `Them'?” Naruto shouted in confusion.

 

“Akatsuki.”
