Meg:*sitting on the tail-gate of her dad's truck* It's about time I got back to work on this. ^_^ Writer's block is evil. *points to a very large pile of rubble, which Yuki and Panda are triumphantly sitting on*
Alex:*can't decide what's worse, being dragged half-way across the country by a manga-happy blonde or being stuck on the pit crew for her nephew's race car* This sucks.
Meg:For those of you who aren't as well acquainted with my family as Yuki-kun, Manda-chan, and Tori-chan are, I've got 11 older siblings, 29 nieces and nephews, and 13 gret-nieces and nephews, most of which live in Iowa, which is where I am right now. Otou and I came up for his birthday and right now we're down at the Oskaloosa race track getting ready for my 23 year old nephew's race ^_^.
Alex:And yes, all of our nieces and nephews are older than us. the youngest one is sixteen. and the oldest is in her 30s.
Meg:Anyway, Charlie's about to start *momentarily stops as half a dozen cars roar by* better stop typing so I can keep an eye on the cars. Anyone who's been in the pits of a small-town track knows that staying close to the track's edge is dangerous, never know when a car's gonna flip right at you ^_^
Naruto:What? We don't get to say anything?
Yuki and Panda:YEAH!
Meg:You just did, now, SHIKAMARU!!
Shikamaru:Ugh, how bothersome, Meg doesn't own Naruto, you know the rest, now can I go back to sleep?
Meg:*too busy screaming at the bad announcer, who just messed up Charlie's car number* IT'S 13!!! NOT 30 YOU MORONIC APE!!!!

Yuki:Oh, and about Naruto using -kun for a girl. Vega's extreamly boy-ish in the way she acts and thinks, as will soon become very clear. Naruto sees her as more a brother-figure than a girl. *shrugs* Alot of people call her *points to Meg* Meg-kun because she acts like a boy, and dresses like one,....and looks like one when she tries.

"I can't wait to see the day you get married. You'll probably show up and hour late in a ripped up pair or blue jeans and a black sports bra. I don't want to know what your hair would be like."- Charlie, again. This time we were discussing his sister's wedding dress.
~*~Hold On Chapter 2: Last Wishes, and First Memories~*~
"Are we there yet?"Naruto whined.
"For the thirty-fifth time, no!"Vega snapped.
"We've been walking for hours!"
Vega glared at her watch. "It's been an hour, and what are you complaining about? I'm carrying all our stuff."
Naruto stopped to glare at Vega's back. She was carrying two duffel bags, a large back pack, a messenger bag, and her guitar. He just had one back pack full or snacks. Time to change the subject.
"You said the school was within walking distance!"Naruto shouted, running after the blue-haired girl.
"It is, you're just a wimp,"Vega growled."Now shut up and keep walking. We're running late."
"But..."
"No buts! Don't make me carry you!"
".........................I'm hungry."
Vega tripped on a tree root. "NARUTO UZUMAKI!!!!!!" She quickly regained her composure and turned to glare at Naruto. "You've got the food you hopeless idiot!"
"Oh, oops,"Naruto muttered as he reached back to pull a chocolate bar out of his back pack.
"Now let's go,"Vega grumbled, turning back to the path they'd been following all afternoon.
"My feet hurt. My back hurts. My head hurts. My mouth hurts. My neck hurts. My butt hurts. My eyes hurt."
"We're here."
"My hands hurt."
"We're here."
"My legs hurt."
"We're here!"
"My di-"
"WE'RE HERE!!"
Naruto stopped ranting and looked up. A huge red brick building towered in front of them.
"If you're done ranting,"Vega pushed a large glass door open in front of them. "Welcome to the Headmaster's house."
"THE HEADMASTER'S HOUSE?!"Naruto shouted. "THIS IS A MANSION!"
"Must you shout?"Vega asked coldly.
She led Naruto down a long hall filled with pictures, most likely of former headmasters.
"This place is creepy,"Naruto whined, latching himself onto Vega's arm.
"You're pathetic, now get off my arm,"Vega growled as she turned and pushed a large pair of oak doors open and dropped everything she was carrying besides her guitar, which was hanging on her back. "SANDAIME!!!!!!"
She stormed into the room, which seemed to be a large library, and dragged Naruto along by the front of his jacket. She stopped in front of an very old man sitting in front of a fire and yanked his pipe out of his mouth.
"I was wondering when you would get here, Arume-chan,"the old man chuckled.
"Save it, old man,"Vega growled. "What are you up to?"
Sandaime chuckled. "I'm not up to anything, my dear. I wasn't even the one who sent for you."
Vega's eye twitched. "Then who did, smart guy? I suppose Ishtar or Rai somehow got my address and found out about Naruto all on their own?"
"I'm the one who sent for you, Vega-kun. I followed your trail back to the town where you were living and sent the admission letters once I realized that you wouldn't leave as long as your friend was there."
Naruto turned around to stare at a young woman in the doorway. She was leaning against the doorframe, her long blonde hair falling delicately over a pair of sparkling purple eyes.
Vega wheeled around. "Faust. I should have guessed. So, why'd you do it? Why in the hell did you drag me away from my perfect life and force me to dig up old memories that I never wanted to see again?"
"A deathbed promise,"Faust said calmly.
All color drained from Vega's face. Even her eyes became pale. She took a step back and shook her head. "You've got to be kidding me."
"Go see for yourself, Vega-kun,"Faust moved away from the doorway.
Vega glared at him for a moment, then bolted out the door.
"V-kun!"Naruto shouted. "Damnit!"
He chased her across the school and into a large cemetary. She finally stopped in front of a large aqua cross and slowly ran her hand over the name 'Aya Arume'.
"Damn woman,"she muttered. "I should have know she'd do something like this."
"You ok, V-kun?"Naruto asked, coming up behind her.
"Yeah,"Vega grinned dementedly. "Actually, I'm kinda relieved."
"Do I want to know why?"Naruto asked warily.
"The way Faust said that,"Vega chuckled. "I thought it was his son that'd died."
"Oh...HIS? That was a guy?!"Naruto yelped.
"Of course,"Vega snorted angrily. "Faust is my uncle. My entire family lives at this school."
"That explains a lot,"Naruto muttered as Vega brushed past him. "Hey! Where ya going?"
Vega stopped and stared at the ground for a minute, then looked up. "I guess I'm going home."
"Home" turned out to be another mansion-sized building, this one slightly larger with dark purple bricks. Vega pushed the large oak doors open and led Naruto down a long hallway. About a quarter of the way down, she took and sharp left and they entered what looked like a large family room.
Just over half a dozen teens about Naruto and Vega's age were scattered around the room reading, watching or playing games, or chattering. Naruto quietly noted that Vega was the only girl in the room.
"So, the prodigal daughter returns,"a voice said behind them, making Naruto jump.
"Hello, Neji,"Vega said calmly as a boy with long brown and black hair brushed past Naruto. "I see you haven't changed much."
Neji turned around and focused to pure white eyes directly on Vega. "I wish I could say the same for you, Vega-sama."
"Since when is the mightly Hyuuga Neji so respectful?"Vega asked coyly.
"Don't get used to it, princess,"the corner of Neji's mouth twitched. "but right now, you're needed here. You are the only one who can control your family."
He turned around and walked to the other side of the room.
"Friend of yours?"Naruto asked.
"You could say that,"Vega shrugged.
"You two gonna stand in the doorway all day or are you planning on moving?" A boy with long black hair and spikey gold bangs slid between Vega and Naruto. He smiled and kissed Vega on the cheek. "It's nice to have you back, Vega-chan."
He winked and ran back into the hall.
"Baka,"Vega muttered.
He grabbed Naruto's wrist and tugged him up a large flight of stairs next to the doorway. They walked across a large balcony and into another hallway, then Vega led him to a door near the end of the hall and pushed it open. Their stuff was piled up near the doorway.
"Welcome home, Kyuubi."Vega muttered as she walked into the room and set her guitar down.
Two of the four walls were lined with shelves and the largest one across from Naruto had a large window easily big enough for a large man to sit in with a desk under it. There was a large dresser next to the desk, and a hammock was hung in the corner on the other side.
Vega opened her mouth to say something else, but was cut off by a loud crash, closely followed by a scream.
"Now what?!"Vega shouted.
"ISHTAR!"
Vega wheeled around and bolted out the door.
"Why am I always chasing her around?"Naruto asked no one in particular as he, once again, ran after Vega.
He reached the balcony and shoved two boys out of the way to see what was going on. Vega was standing on the railing, glaring at a boy with long black and red hair on the ground. A girl with long green hair was sitting on the ground in front of him, her back against the wall.
"SHAKA!"Vega roared.
The boy looked up and was suddenly flung through a large window. A shower of glass filled the room. The boy that had kissed Vega earlier ran across the room to help the girl Shaka had been attacking.
Vega jumped from the balcony, but insead of falling, she flew through the shattered window.
"What the hell?!"Naruto stared at the spot where Vega had just been standing.
"I don't know who's dumber,"a boy next to Naruto muttered. "Shaka for touching Vega's best friends, or Raikin and Ishtar for ticking Shaka off in the first place."
"All I'm worried aobut is what Faust-sensei's going to do when he sees that window,"another boy muttered.
"How bothersome,"another sighed. "I'm going to bed."
Naruto jumped over the railing and landed in the middle of the room below just as Vega walked back into the room from the hall. She was wiping blood off her face and picking pieces of glass out of her arms while cursing quite colorfully.
"I'm not even back a day and hell's already broken loose,"she muttered as she passed Naruto. She knelt down next to the lightning-haired boy. "You're an absolute moron, Ishtar. You know you're no match for Shaka. And don't you dare smile at me or I'll make those bruises worse." She turned to the boy next to her. "And as for you, Raikin, you of all people should know not to make Shaka mad. What were you thinking?"
"So, we're not even allowed to be happy that our best friend's come back to Konoha?"Raikin asked coldly.
Vega stood up. "Your best friend died with her brothers." She turned a gracefully strided over to Naruto. "Damn boy, taking on a psychic like that. He could have been killed. Must get it from his dad, Faust does the same damn thing." Without another word she floated back up to the balcony and vanished down the hall.
"Ok, now I'm officially confused,"Naruto muttered.

Meg:Well, Charlie didn't win *growls angrily* some son of a $!%*^ rammed him and he went spinning into the pits. And why are my words being censored?

Meg:Ugh, whatever. I'm going to bed. Naruto, do the preview.
Naruto:Next time, I finally get an explanation! But it's not from V-kun, it's from Ishtar-chan and Rai-kun. What do you mean she's the head or the Arume family?! And what the hell's an Elemental?! What's the secret of Konoha Academy?! And who's this creep who thinks he's better than me?! Damn you, Sasuke Uchiha!! I'll show you!! Now what?! A demon!? Ishtar! Get out of the way!
