Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ Deidara ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Here's another chapter, hope you enjoy! Oh ya, just to let you know, I'm going to use the metric system that Japan uses… You know, kilometers, millimeters, centimeters, all of those? I'd only use feet and inches when Jessica is talking about that sort of stuff since she is the only character that uses that as her main measuring system.

Jessica panted as they came around a steep corner in the road. When they said that the place they were heading was close, she thought maybe a ten minute walk, but no. No, of course not! They'd been walking for at least an hour before they approached a village. She was glad for only a few minutes before she discovered that instead of going into the place, they went around it.

“How much longer will it be before we get there?” She gasped as she leaned over and rested her hands on her knees. “My feet are killing me; I've never gone this long without shoes on.”

“How pathetic, it hasn't been that long! U'h, you've got a lot to get use to. The house is right over here anyways, hurry up.” Deidara said as he started walking up the slope ahead of them. Taking heavy heaves of air, she bobbed her head up again and continued to walk.

A few minutes later, a large home appeared in the distance. Was this the place they were going to? She hoped so; she'd had to go to the bathroom for so long now, that she didn't know how much longer she'd be able to hold it. As she tried moistening her sticky dry mouth, Jessica saw the odd looking man looking strangely at her new `master'. Was it just her, or did they have less in common than a dolphin and a walrus; Deidara being the dolphin, and Sasori being the big fat walrus of the herd? Shaking her head, she wondered how she would survive with these two men at each other's neck.

“Deidara-san, why are we here?” The grouchy man asked as they came closer and closer to the mansion-like home.

“We're around her anyhow, and I forgot a few things I needed is all. No harm in staying for a few days, unless you're too afraid that the villagers will figure me out.” The blonde replied with his arms crossed. “Besides, the girl needs something else to wear. I can't have her going around in that!”

“Of course not, but you didn't need to return to your former village.” He grunted in reply after glancing back at the girl who was slowly falling behind more and more with each step. “Would you just carry her to the house? She's slowing us down way to much. It was very foolish of you to buy such a pitiful thing.”

The man then looked down at Sasori for a moment before turning to look at the girl who stumbled around on her dirt-covered feet. An expression of laughter then greased over the man's face as he turned and stopped about a meter in front of his partner. “Hey Sasori-san, why don't you just drag her to the house yourself if you're so concerned?”

The man then sneered. “No,” he stated as he walked passed him.

With an easy frown on his face that was made out as more of a `thinking' face, he put his hands on his hips as the girl slowly trudged up to him. Panting, she looked up at the man with tired eyes that pleaded to put her out of her miseries. Shrugging, he turned around and continued walking towards his old home. Seeing this, Jessica stretched out her arm as if trying to catch him, as she gasped, “wait!”

“He's not going to stop walking, is he?” she thought with an expression on her face that was more exhausted than annoyed at act of his rudeness. As her hands fell to her knees again, she sat in the dirt and tried to regain the energy she had lost so easily. “Oh Lord, just give me a pair of shoes and a bathroom, and I should be happy. Oh, and perhaps you could throw some food in too? I'm pretty hungry… I mean, I'm not starving but you know what I mean. I just don't know what this guy is expecting from me, really. My feet feel so sore right now, I feel as if I'm walking on boils. Ugh, that's just so nasty sounding, and it's true!”

As the blonde Akatsuki entered his abandoned home, he turned to see his partner waiting for him right next to the door. “Hey, don't you think it's unwise to leave her like that?”

“Na, just look at her; she spent all her energy.” He said waving his hand as if to dismiss the idea as he looked down at the man. “Even if she tried getting away, she wouldn't get far. I may as well try to figure out how much of my things were taken when I was gone.”

“Whatever you say, Deidara; if she does escape you're the one who would be losing money.”

About ten minutes later, the girl slowly walked into the musty, Japanese-looking home. The place was pretty much empty now as it stood without any motion besides the blonde man inspecting every thing closely.
“I made it,” the girl announced as she sat on the wooden floor.

“You're late; you just wasted my time taking so long to just walk up the road.” A voice said from behind. Chills ran up and down her spin as she quickly turned to see Sasori sanding above her. As he stared back at her with his cold eyes, she slowly inched away about twenty centimeters from where she sat as she tried escaping the frightening glare. For what felt like ages, the man continued to look at her, and she could feel it. Turning back to look at him, she frowned.

“Would you stop staring at me like that? It's just plain old creepy; you look like a stalker.” Jessica grumbled as she stood to her feet. The man's gaze grew more intense for a moment, before he turned and walked into the middle of the room.

“Hey Sasori-San, would you go buy the girl some suitable clothing, give you something to do you know, un.” He asked as he looked dully at his partner. With a cold stair before he left, Sasori slowly made his way out of the room and headed towards the village. Jessica sighed. That man just made her tense and jittery when he was around, even more than this master of hers. It seemed to her that it wasn't a dream anymore. This was the truth, it was happening there and then. Why did God say `yes' to that prayer in particular? Why couldn't he just heal her brother, and help her get on with the life she had? Instead, she got this. She was now in her friend's dream land, the land of Naruto. Sadly for her, she got the short end of the stick with this.

“Jessica was it? Come over here.” The man said as the girl's back stiffened from surprise. Seeming to have regained some of her energy, she stood up and slowly walked over to the man.

“What,” she asked rather dully as he put a hand on her shoulder.

“It is time, for you to clean.” He stated with a grin on his face. Jessica's jaw dropped. He wanted her to do what? Scrub the floors with her tongue? It was bad enough that her legs currently felt like noodles from walking all that way, but now this? She couldn't believe it! Her face showed her feelings. “Well, I bought you, remember? You're my property now; do as I say.”

“What do you expect me to clean with?” She replied between clenched teeth.

“I don't know, get a towel or something from the bathroom and get water from the sink.” He said pointing down a near by hall. “These floors are discussing! I'm not going to stay here for a few days in this besides; if you don't work you don't eat.”

Jessica opened her mouth to speak with a deep frown on her face now, but slowly closed it. She was hungry as it was, and she needed food. Was this really God's way of supplying food to her? By making her work as a slave? Another thought then came to her. She could use the bathroom while she was at it. The need to relieve herself; then became to strong for her to bear much longer with the bathroom on her mind. Silently, she just nodded her head before walking down the hall the man had pointed to. If she wasn't going to be fed from not cleaning, then she'd just have to comply with Deidara's demands.
