Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ His old home ( Chapter 2 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Okay, I decided to let out more than just a prologue today… Though I'm afraid I'll get fewer viewers since it's getting late… Anyhow, I hope you enjoy, and please review in payment for chapters. Pretty good sale isn't it? …Ya, I'm saying this because I've been deprived from comments lately so I'm low on fuel…

Shock over came the girl's face as she stared at the man who pulled out a bag of coins from his cloak. Could this really be happening? Was she truly awake? Nothing made sense anymore. How had this all happened? There to her right, stood that fat, greedy man who had just sold her to some strange, dangerous man. Like the man would have cared if he was a king or a murderer; he just wanted the money like every other man did. “What a greedy pig.” She thought.
“Deidara, what are you thinking? You're just wasting our time,” Scolded the man who had came up beside him in the crowd. She guessed that this must have been some sort of an acquaintance of his, since the man replied dully to him as if he had known him for a while.
“It's not like you don't have any servants of your own,” he snickered as before stalking over to the frightened young woman he had just bought. As he looked up at her, he let a small smirk form on his face. “Let's go.” He commanded as she looked back down at him from the elevated platform.
Slowly, she made her way off of the small stage, and started to follow the two strangers as they made their way back throughout the crowd. What would happen to her? She didn't know much about either of these people, besides the fact that the blonde on in particular was from her friend's Naruto poster, only he didn't look like an anime character. In her eyes, he was pretty tall, something she liked in a man. Other than that he gave off an erratic aroma to her. She couldn't get use to the fact that this man's hair was at least twice the length of her own. Where she came from, half of the men around had maybe chin length hair, and occasionally about an inch passed the shoulders, but never this long. For the other man, she felt it would be best to stay away from him. He looked very unnatural to her, as he walked very low to the ground and had a long, thick body. Even just looking at his cold, veiled face could make anyone shiver.
“So girl, how old are you? What's your name?” The blonde said glancing back at her over his shoulder. Jessica was silent for a moment before hesitantly replying.
“…My name is Jessica Roans, and I'm fifteen years old.” She stated as she quickly averted her gaze back to the dirt road as she continued to try to sort things out; which was hard to do with such a sound polluted area. The man then made a noise that was almost like a soft grunt of acknowledgment before turning his head towards the road again.
“That's an interesting name, I've never heard of such a peculiar name. Who would name their little girl Roans?” He said as he muttered the last part to himself. Hearing him, she frowned.
“My name is Jessica, not Roans! Roans is my last name.” She stated rather harshly as she continued to follow them.
“Fine, whatever you say girl, un.” The man replied waving one of his hands in the air as silence then fell for a short moment. “You can call me… Deidara-Sama and this is Sasori-san.”
“Okay then,” the girl said with a rather sarcastic, yet interested look on her face as the negative one of the two snickered loudly.
After another moment of silence, she took the chance and looked from side to side at all the shops they passed. She seemed to be in some sort of sea-port. Why these sorts of men were here, she had no clue. Perhaps they were meeting up with someone? Or maybe they lived around here? Now she really wished that she had paid attention to the Naruto episodes her friend made her watch a year or so before, so she'd perhaps have an idea of where she was. At the same time, she wasn't totally certain that this was the `Naruto' world. What if it was pure coincidence that this person looked like a character from some Asian man's comic book? She was an American, a girl who loved to watch all of the cheesy cartoons that came on late at night when she could, not shows that came from over seas like a lot of her friends had. Sighing, she looked back at the blonde man whose hair swayed back and forth gently. She knew this was going to bother her, a lot. She found it annoying enough herself, trying to keep long hair neat and beautiful with what she had. That was the reason why she had cut it a lot shorter than before; she didn't have time in her schedule to take care of it correctly.
Looking over herself now, she realized that she was in her pajamas. “Oh no,” she thought as she scrunched her eyes closed. Why hadn't she noticed by now? For once she thanked the Lord that her family couldn't afford any sleep wear that truly looked like sleep wear. Instead, they'd take old clothing people gave away. At the moment, Jessica wore a dark grey loose shirt over short black shorts. Not exactly the most faltering sight, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been with an undergarment missing. The fact that the shirt was thick and dark, helped cover up her embarrassment. She also noticed that her feet were bare. At least for her, the ground wasn't very rocky or she'd have a hard time getting throughout the town to where ever she was being taken to. Thinking of which, why was she following these people? She could dart throughout this thick crowd and never be seen by them again… And yet the thought of being chased down again, and perhaps get punished by her new `master' wouldn't leave her consciousness. Looking up to the sky she begged for guidance, but as usual she couldn't hear God's voice. So many times she had wished that God could be less complicated, and just speak out to her and help her understand, but that wasn't the way he worked things.
“Where are you taking me?” She asked as the questions became unbearable to her.
“You should stay quiet if you know what's good for you.” Sasori answered with an annoyed voice.
“Hey, hey she's my slave Sasori. Don't you have plenty of your own to yell at when you're ticked?” The blonde said as he looked down at his partner.
“If you hadn't bought her, than I wouldn't have been annoyed by her Deidara.” The man growled back.
“Fine, whatever, I'll stay quiet.” The girl said rolling her eyes from exhaustion as the streets seemed to get less populated around her. She could tell that they must be heading away from the place, either to an entrance or an exit of the small town. Very soon, the very thing happened as they walked out into the forest that surrounded the boarder of the small seaport.
“Tell me, Jessica-chan,” her master asked as he turned his body slightly to look at her as he continued to walk. “Where you came from, are there any shinobi?”
The girl's face showed that she had never heard the word before as she shook her head and said, “No.” Jessica then crossed her arms over her chest as she looked up at him. What was a shinobi?
“I see, I guess you're not from a shinobi village as I guessed. You looked more like one of those poor peoples to me when I first saw you.” He said stopping in front of her, and fully turning around to face her. “Well I guess you'll just have to adjust to a new way of life, girl.”
The man then put his hand in a pouch on his side for a moment, and seemed to perhaps have been rustling around for something for it made quite a noise. When he took his hand out of his pouch, he had a small clay figure of a bird that looked like a falcon. The thing made a slight chirping sound as he dropped it onto the ground. Putting his hands together, he made some sort of a sign and suddenly a great gust of dust rose into the air around them. Jessica, who had her arms over her face to keep the musty particles away, was greatly surprised that the small figure had grown as big as an elephant!
“Come, we'll fly for a good portion of the journey ahead.”
As she saw the two men board the bird as if it here some sort of an airplane, she blinked a few times as she hesitantly climbed onto the thing. Then a great sensation came over her whole body. The bird then stated to lift its wings, and took off high into the sky. A smile then grazed over the girl's face. She must have been dreaming, and had gotten to the best part. She was flying! The trees that looked so tall and mysterious while she was on the ground, where now but a green blob below her now. Amongst the clouds, she saw birds fly by her, as they rode against the winds. The girl might have even let out a cry of joy if it hadn't been for the cold look of the man who sat beside her. She was glad that the other had bought her instead of this one. He looked a whole lot more cruel than the blonde, Deidara was it? She knew though, at the back of her mind, that she would savor this moment even if it was just a dream as she thanked God in heaven for the opportunity.
“Deidara, how much farther?” the man said with impatience.
“I don't know, about ten kilometers or so?”
“Can't this `work of art' as you call it, go faster than this?” He mumbled throughout his teeth.
“It's already fast, faster than your artwork, un!” The man shouted over the wind that threw his long hair about wildly.
“Do you two always argue like this?” Jessica yelled at the top of her voice as the wind blasted her hair back.
“Oh, all the time,” Deidara replied with an annoyed voice as he stared at his partner. “He doesn't agree that my art is better than his.”
“That's because it isn't!” The man yelled back.
The girl then sat back on her knees after leaning forwards on her hands. She had a feeling that this feud would go on for quite some time now that it had been going on for a while now. Sighing she thought about her family. If this was real, if this was truly reality, then what will happen back home? What will her family do when they find her gone? Will they think she'd runaway, kidnapped, or killed? She guessed that she could technically be grouped as kidnapped for the situation she was in now. Any of the options weren't good. They were already starting to loose their son, but now over night they're going to loose their daughter as well? The only good thing she could think coming out of this would be her parents saving money from not having to pay for her expenses. Yet, what if they paid money to put up posters and hire people to search for her? Knowing her parents, they probably would. Closing her eyes, she dozed off, hoping to wake in her own bed again.
About twenty minutes later, Jessica awoke from the sudden pressure that came down on her. She found that the clay bird they had been riding on was now landing in a clearing of trees, which lacked any human population. As it gently landed on the ground, the blonde man in front of her jumped over the side, and looked back up at the other man.
“And you don't see that as art.” He said with a snicker as the other jumped off as well with a snarl. “Hey girl, it's time to get off now.”
“O-okay,” she said, not sure exactly what the best way of getting off was. Climbing on her knees over to the edge, she slowly slid down the side. She felt like a huge fool. They had flawlessly jumped to the ground, and she on the other hand was looking like a little child, only eight years too old for that being expectable.
“Our destination is close; we will be walking the rest by foot.”
