Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ Hot springs ( Chapter 10 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Here's a longer chapter for you! My parent's university was this weekend, so they kicked me out of the house… That's why I couldn't write another chapter these past few days… Oh, and for you people who are good prayers, please pray for me, because we have to put my dog down in a day or two and I've had him for my whole life so it will be really different without him around… Thanks, and please enjoy (and comment!)

Jessica sighed as she propped her head up with the back of her hand. She now sat, all alone, in the hotel room on a cozy chair as she gazed out the large window. It wasn't as if it were the prettiest sight in the world, in fact it was rather unnecessary to have that window there at all. The only sight she was able to see throughout it was a sort pathway from the back of the building, that broke off into three different pathways. After that all she could see were small buildings that the concrete path led to, but then after that were high wooden walls. She guessed that it must have been there to fence in the different springs. There were huge signs on each building, but she couldn't understand it at all. It looked Asian to her, but she couldn't be completely sure. Whatever it was, the only reason why she knew what they must have said was by the people who walked into the buildings. On the very right, groups of women would pile into the building. To the very left, men slowly strode into the building their pathway led into. Then, in the middle, she saw both men and women walk into the building.
As she glumly looked down, Jessica suddenly stood to her feet as her eyes grew big and her jaw dropped to the floor. “Tell me he's not going to do it!” She gasped as she looked down below her. There now stood Deidara, who stood between the men's hot springs, and what she took as the `mixed' hot springs. With her arms, she acted as if she were pulling something towards the direction of the spring she wanted him to go in as she pointlessly yelled out to him. “You pervert! Go to your left, the left you hear me, the left!”
Slowly, he then started walking down the middle pathway for a ways, but then stopped and turned back to go to the men's area. Sighing, her stiff shoulders then relaxed as she sat back down before slapping her face with her hand. “Just who is this guy who `owns' me now?” She thought to herself. Looking back out the window, surely enough she saw in walk into the building.
“Lord, thank you that he made a wise decision. I don't think I'd be able to live with a perverted man for the rest of my life.” She said aloud before standing to her feet.
What was there for her to do? She would defiantly not walk over to the room next door, where Sasori was staying. Jessica wondered why he hadn't gone into the hot spring himself, though she didn't blame him with the body he had. “I'd be scared for life if I had to see him in a hot spring.” She thought to herself as she almost gagged from the thought. “Or Deidara-sama, or any man besides my husband, though I doubt I'll ever get one now that I'm Deidara-sama's `man slave'. I guess I'll never have a normal life again… Won't be able to do the things I wanted to do in life… I guess there's no use complaining about it anymore, though it's easier said than done…”
Sighing as she slowly opened and closed her eyes, Jessica looked over to the little room that bulged out of the wall near the door. As she brushed her fingers throughout her stringy hair, she stalked over to the room and shut the door behind her. If she had nothing else to do, she may as well take a shower and cure her hair from the terrible state it was in for a few days. In the room was a stand-up shower, but she didn't mind. A shower was a shower, and it was good enough for her if it wasn't covered in mold. Folding her clothing, she set it on the top of the toilet before moving a fresh white towel to a hook near the shower.
The cold water felt good as it trickled down her back. She had felt as if layers of gunk had grown over her skin, and she was glad when the water seamlessly washed the feeling away in an instant. Jessica thought that the place was pretty good for a place traveler's use on their way in a journey, for the shower had: a bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Sure, it wasn't anything real special, but it worked. The bathroom it self, besides the shower wasn't half bad either. Across from the shower, there was a long counter with a sink, and a wide mirror that stretched across the width of it. Next to it was the toilet, which was white and surprisingly looked very clean. Perhaps the owner of this place understood the need for a clean bathroom, unlike the other places she had stayed at other times she had traveled.
As she got out of the dower, she grabbed the towel and rapped it around her matured frame. After walking out, she grabbed a comb that lay on the counter and started pulling it throughout her wet, knotted hair. “Ouch,” she exclaimed as she pulled it throughout a ruff spot. Looking at herself with an annoyed face as the comb still stuck in her head even after she let go of it. “My hair is starting to get longer again; it's about time I should cut it.” She mumbled to herself. Looking around, she found that there weren't any scissors around for her to use. Sighing, she walked to the other side of the good sized bathroom, where a grey robe hung on a peg. Grabbing it, rapped around her damp body, and replaced the empty peg with the wet towel before walking out of the room.
As the cold air met her face as she opened the door, Jessica held her elbows as she quickly walked across the room. In the room, on the wall to her right there were to thick, white mats on the floor about three feet apart form one another. Then next to the one nearest to the wall with the two great windows, was a desk like end table. As she rustled throughout the drawers, a smirk came across her face when she held a pair of scissors in her hands. “Got ya,” she said before sitting on the mat nearest to the bathroom where she readily began to cut away at her hair that almost touched her shoulders. As she was about to cut, she heard the door slide open as her head jolted up.
“What are you doing?” Asked the voice she had come to know well those past few days in a rather harsh tone. There about five feet from where she sat cross legged, was Deidara. As she quickly put her legs together, she looked up at the man who stood there with a questioning look on his face.
“I was going to cut my unreasonable hair,” she stated. Seconds later, the blond who now wore an identical robe as her, and had his damp hair brushed out, walked up to her.
“No,” he said with his arms crossed. Jessica's face told that she was rather confused by his response.
“What do you mean by no?” She asked with a frown on her face as she took the scissors away from her messy hair. “It's getting to long.”
A bizarre look then overcame the young man's face. “To long, how can you say that's to long? You're a woman; you're supposed to grow it out! A woman's hair is her beauty! As long as I'm your master, you will not cut your hair.” He demanded as he took out a comb and sat behind her. “And what did you do to make it so messy? Did you rub it on the floor or something? U'h, seriously,” he asked as he picked throughout the hair.
Jessica may have blushed from embarrassment if it weren't for all of the pain she was getting from the thick pieces of plastic pulling at the stubborn knots in her hair. “Ouch, that hurts!” She exclaimed as she clenched the material of her robe in her hands.
“Well it wouldn't hurt if you'd actually take care of it like any normal person would.” He replied as he yanked throughout a part of it to spite her.
“Well it wasn't in my schedule to be sold as human property,” she spat back as he grumbled.
As Deidara rolled his eyes, he continued to brush through the wet, brown hair that was now knot free. “Be glad that I've done this much for the likes of you. Most slaves get much worse treatment than this; you even have a bed tonight! So just shut up would ya?”
Jessica moaned to herself as she blew at a wet string of hair that ran down her nose. She never did like having very long hair because of all the knots that would get in it. Now, she was going to be forced to have long hair until this man told her otherwise! That would be real great, so besides traveling all the time and having to deal with that, she now also had to deal with this burden. Why couldn't she just cut it chin length so it wouldn't get real messy? Of course, she couldn't expect much more from a guy whose hair was as long as his was. Sighing, she tried getting all of her frustration out on one breath.
“Deidara-sama, what's the date?” She asked dully.
“June fifteenth, I think.” He replied as the girl perked up. They had the same month names as she did! In her mind, this was a great blessing. Not only that, but she also remembered something important.
“My birthday is in eight days!” She exclaimed as her eyes grew wide.
“Really, mine was a few weeks ago, my birth day I mean, it's on May fifth.” He replied with a slight interest.
“How old are you then?” She asked as she turned to glance back at him. The blond paused for a moment before telling, almost as if he didn't want to say it.
“Nineteen,” he stated as her face showed surprise.
“We're only about three years or so apart then. I thought there was a bigger gap.” She said as she let a slight smile form on her face. “Since I'm turning sixteen I'm, I'm… Sixteen?” She said as all of her excitement drained from her face. “Boy, I never realized up till now… That I'm going to miss my sweet sixteen moments… That I'm not going to be able to celebrate with all my friends and family back at home for the first time in my life, and for my sweet sixteen. They say your sixteenth birthday is supposed to be the best birthday in your life because you're finally allowed to do stuff you weren't allowed to do before but…” As her voice trailed off, Deidara looked at her as he bit his lip before standing to his feet.
“I'm going to get some food.” He stated as he walked towards the door. Without giving a response or even a last glace before he left, Jessica let a single tear drip down her face as she was now exposed to one of the things that happens to one when you're taken far from home. Perhaps if her sixteenth birthday was all that she had lost, she would have found it alright. But all that she had lost now, all that she wished for every minute of the day, had made this feel like a heavy weight falling down on her shoulders.
“Lord, just take me home.” She muttered as she lay down on the soft mat beneath her.
