Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ Sand vs clay ( Chapter 19 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Okay, sorry if it seems to close to what happened in the manga… Though I tried to make it more of in Jessica's perspective since most of us have already read/watched Deidara's perspective of the whole thing… Though I'm thinking this chapter will probably be the only one that's real close to the actual thing.

Jessica sat quietly as she looked out over the motionless city that lay before her now. The only thing she could hear now was wind as it threw sand up from the ground. Glancing from Sasori-san to his own slave, she felt more and more uneasy. Where had Deidara-sama gone? It had been easily ten minutes since he had taken off without anyone giving a word of reason to her about it. He was coming back soon, wasn't he? He wasn't going to leave her with these two for good? One thing for sure was set in her mind; she never wanted to be alone with Sasori-san, especially now. She couldn't really detect before what had bothered her so much with him around, though she saw now that the aura of danger that plagued whatever room he was in wasn't a thing to take lightly. He must have been the one who ordered for this pawn of his to kill the men whose blood still reeked in the air. Sighing with distress, she sunk low in her seat as she rested her elbows on her crossed legs.
Suddenly, she heard a distinctive deep popping-like sound as a few high yells sounded in the air as she quickly raised her head. “What was that?” She asked with agitation in her features. Sasori then glanced at her for a moment before looking out to the horizon again.
“Deidara-san has begun his attack.” He stated with a hint of cheeriness in his voice. “Finally; he drives my patience to the edge.”
“I've heard you two talking about some sort of `attack' for some time now… I just don't understand,” she said rather hesitant as she let the sand graze throughout her hand. “What do you mean by all of this?”
“It's none of your business.” He replied gruffly. “Just do what you're told.”
“But no one told me to do anything,” she mumbled under her breathe as if everything was as normal as any other day with he and her master. Sighing again, she stood to her feet as she tried to see as far as she could. If there was a fight, she would have seen it wouldn't she? Yet the only evidence of one possibly going on was the screaming from before, and silence had fallen again soon after. “Dear Lord, please help him to be alright.” She prayed as she rested her eyes. “He's the only person I can take safety in right now by humanly means… Just please, whatever is happening, let him come out alright.”
As she softy opened her eyes again, she leaned forwards as something caught her eye. “What's that in the distance? That couldn't be one of Deidara-sama's clay models could it?” She asked without removing the image from her gaze.
“No, of course it isn't! That's one of the one-tailed beast's jutsu.” Her master's partner replied as more and more of the thing appeared in the sky.
“Is it sand then? It's all gathered in large clumps, but it's scattered in some places as well. It makes no sense!” Before Sasori could answer, a loud noise rang dryly in the air as the large mass of sand in the air then slammed together like hands that were squishing an annoying mosquito. A white object then appeared out of the darkness, as the large quantity of sand began to form into claws.
“Sasori-san,” Jessica said with panic now in her voice as all of the hairs on her neck stood straight up.
“Be quiet now; the fight has begun.” He said as a strong wind from the collision reached them. And so it had; seconds later, a loud explosion could be heard everywhere as people now crowded in the streets. By Jessica's assumption the bombs must have been Deidara's, judging by how many times he talked about wanting to blow something up. For the next minute, all that could be heard were the bombs and the colliding of sand as he and his opponent attacked one another. Just who as this person he was aiming to kill while threatening everyone in the village below? Surely he wasn't just detonating bombs just for fun?
Suddenly, a large, white clay figure that looked like a dot in her sight, went hurling to the earth. Screams of panic rang then through the air, before the sand then formed a large platform beneath it without a moment to spare. Another explosion then went off, and then another before the sand that towered about the earth slowly deteriorated. Besides the sound of gruff voices shouting to one another, nothing could be heard as far as bombs or sand goes.
“Is it all over?” She asked as she bit her lower lip. After about a minute, the form of Deidara's clay bird came closer and closer to where they now stood staring.
“You're late… I said not to keep me waiting.” Sasori stated as the bird quickly landed on the ledge before them.
“Its okay, this guy was strong…yeah,” he said motioning his head at the man who lay on the back of his clay bird. After glancing at Deidara for a moment with a slight frown of worry, confusion, and fear from the whole thing, she walked over to get a better look at the red headed young man. Be looks, he couldn't have been much older if he wasn't the same age as Jessica herself. She then shrugged back her head. This was his opponent? It must have been, for he had wounds in many places, along with large cracks in his skin that trailed all over his body. The sight made Jessica quiver.
“Hey Omae, come here; it's time to go… yeah,” Deidara said before putting on his hat as the girl quickly turned to look at him as he jumped off his clay model.
“R-right,” she said as she walked up next to him.
Jessica half closed her eyes was they walked back the way they came. She couldn't stand the sight of the blood that had been spilled everywhere, without the addition of the bodies themselves. She never had been real keen around blood. Something about it bugged her. As soon as they got out, she heard someone else's footsteps as he ran up behind them. Turning to look behind her, she saw that another young man now stood before them about twenty feet away. To her he looked like one of the oddest people she had ever seen. With purple face paint, a black turban-related hat with a metal plate on it, and black shirt and pants, he had beaten quite a few records in her mind.
“Wait,” he shouted as the other two gradually turned to look at him. “Return Gaara to me!”
“Deidara… go one ahead,” Sasori said as an angry filled face from the boy stared at them menacingly. Hesitating before turning to follow her master, Jessica gave the boy a shrug to show her sympathy and confusion.
“Are we just going to leave Sasori-san?” She whispered to the blond who looked down at her.
“Yeah, he'll catch up soon.”
