Chapter 9: Breaking the Chains of an Enslaved Soul

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Today, it would begin. As the Sith stood up at 6.00h in the morning, he was already anxious. Today, he would
receive his first apprentice, and a rather powerful one. The perfect choice for him.
But first, he would have to free her from the chains that bound her to Ikari Gendo. He was completely sure
that he would be successful. Before the day was over, Ayanami Rei would cry for the blood of her creator.

The first thing he did was using his comm to contact the 'Blade', the ship he would use today.
"Captain, was the mission successful?"

"Yes, Grand Admiral. We have retrieved a half dozen specimen, and started to treat them. As we started, the
medics made a rather disturbing discovery. There was already information stored, complete sets with all
impressions. As far as we know, we do not need to flash them, Grand Admiral."

"I understand. Proceed as planned, I will come aboard soon."

"Yes, Grand Admiral."

The Sith frowned. <Ikari Gendo is sooooo dead.>

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As he arrived in school, his pupils were already inside the classroom. The inchou frowned at him as she did
the morning ritual of stand-bow-sit that she performed each time he came in late. Which meant every day.

"Today, we will discuss loyalty. When you should be loyal to someone, under what circumstances loyalty can
be wrong, where the border of maintaining and eliminating loyalty exists.
Each soldier has to be loyal to his superiors, to his leaders. The same goes for the worker in a factory, who
should be loyal to his employer. But when is loyalty wrong?"

Not surprisingly, Aida answered.

"Loyalty is wrong if it is used by the superiors to order one to commit crimes or unethical behavior. Then,
one should eliminate that loyalty, because it is not an acceptable excuse in a trial.
Everybody has to decide his own way; loyalty to a madman or a criminal cannot save you from jail."

"So, loyalty should end where one´s own life and future is in danger?"

Aida blanched. "Definitely not. That would mean that every soldier should drop his weapon and give up. No,
I mean that there is something called ethics. If the orders are unethical, they should be ignored. And a person
who gives such orders doesn't deserve one´s loyalty."

"Very good."

"What if you cannot cease to be loyal?" asked Ayanami, who stunned the class, again.

"That depends on the reason, and on the things which happen to make the loyalty a crime in itself." answered
Aida.

"If someone would be loyal to his or her creator, the being who was responsible for the creation and the life
of the loyal servant, how can he or she remove themselves from that loyalty?"

"Religious fanatics are the worst of all. Caught in their firm beliefs, they commit the greatest atrocities
thinking that they are doing the right because they fight for their god. The only problem is: What if there
is no god? What if this creator deceived the servant, used it as tool, abused it as part of a scheme. Does
someone like this deserve loyalty?" questioned the sensei, directly looking in the blood-red eyes of Ayanami.

"If he is still the creator, yes. He made the servant, so he can do whatever he wants with the servant."

"But as he made the servant, he gave the servant free will. And he used lies and untruths to deceive the
servant into loyalty to him. He created the servant, but with the addition of free will, he lost the right to
use the servant as he wishes."

"He is still the creator."

"So, if someone creates a person, the person should stay loyal to his creator at all costs?"

"Yes."

"Well, may someone tell me why this isn't functioning?"

To the great delight of the Sensei, Shinji answered this question.

"It would only function if the creator is always some thing which religions refer to as God, or any similar
deities. While it is each person´s own decision to believe in such things, it is not always logical to be loyal
to a belief at all costs. That's why persons who do this are called 'Fanatics', which is hardly a positive term.
In fact, fanatics are considered as blind fools, unable to see the world as it is, too stupid and narrow-minded
to see past their own beliefs and wishes.
However, we aren't talking here about Gods, we are talking about creators. On the most basic level, the creators
of each person are their parents. While loyalty is considered as goal, it simply doesn't function. Blind loyalty
means blind obedience, the end of advancements in everything. If you do everything like your parents, you are
unable to invent anything new. In historical societies where this kind of blind obedience was an important
part of the culture, various degrees of degeneration were inevitable. And there are often some good reasons to
not be loyal to the parents. Such as if they are complete assholes who only deserve to die, like my father."

Rei looked darkly at Shinji. Ever since the Sensei had arrived, the son of the Commander had begun to show a very
negative attitude towards his superiors. He should know better than talking ill of the Commander in her presence.
Granted, she had already begun to doubt her own perceptions of him, but so far she hadn't seen real evidence in
her behavior. This should come today, and she looked forward to it. But for now, she would give him some reprimands
during lunch break.

"A very good answer, Ikari." stated the teacher.

Ayanami looked annoyed at the Sensei. "This discussion is very similar to one we had only some days prior.
Wouldn't something new be a better way of teaching us, or do you plan to ride the topic to death as the old Sensei
did with his second impact lectures?"

The Sensei laughed hard. "Well, I have several reasons to bring this discussion up. First off, in time likes these,
when a war rages, things like loyalty, and the reasons behind its existence are very important. Second, we have a
new student in the class, and she has the right to see how I teach you, so that she can adapt easily. While she
already has a college degree.."
The other pupils looked surprised, some even shocked at the red-haired girl.
"...she will still gain some new insights by the kind of lessons I give. And thirdly, it is quite possible that I
just like annoying you." he finished with an evil grin.

"However, I'm open to suggestions. If someone can suggest a better topic, they may bring it up."

Aida stood up and raised his hand to speak, but was stopped by the teacher.

"Besides historical wars, actual combat and possible future conflicts, and all the technology which is involved
in such events."

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------
######################################################################## ###########################
------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

During the lunch break, she was unable to talk with the Third. He stayed with his friends, and while she could
still demand a talk, she didn't want the attention she would receive by doing such a thing.

And that the Second was with her complicated things further. It was not surprising that Asuka tried to
use her as a guide for her new school, but her constant tries to befriend her were.

Rei didn't understand why the red-head was unable to understand that she had no interest in interaction with
others.

Friends were a concept foreign to her. For her, close contact with others meant being used and manipulated.
This was her destiny, after all. But the Second had no chance of using her for anything, so she didn't understand.
Romantic interest, something she read about, would have been a possible reason, but she ruled that out.
Soryu didn't act like she had such an interest in her. So she was confused and didn't know how to act.
So she did the same as always, ignoring the problem until it went away. But the Second child didn't go away.

Finally, she talked with the stubborn German girl. Determined to cease the conversation again after a few
sentences, she was unable to stop as Asuka told her about her training, her Unit and the long journey over the
ocean. And how bad her wardrobe had suffered from being packed into suitcases, and so on. Rei didn't understand
how someone could make such a fuss about something so insignificant as clothing, but decided to let the girl talk.
Her fiery attitude was fascinating to her; she never met a person who acted this way.

Rei didn't know how Asuka accomplished this, but by end of the lunch break, they were on first name basis and had
become friends, at least as declared so by Asuka. As the bell rung, Asuka dragged her by her arm back into the
classroom, while she still couldn't grasp what had really happened during their talk.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

After the school day was over, Rei walked to the Sensei. It was time for truth.

"Where shall we meet?"

"We can drive together, or you can meet me at my apartment in a half hour. Choose."

Driving together was faster, and therefore the logical choice.

They went down to the parking lot, where a rather sporty looking car waited for them. She was glad that Asuka had
another synch-test, or else she would have had a hard time explaining why she drove away with the Sensei.

Their first route wasn't a surprise. They drove out of the city, into the surrounding hills. Only the place where
they stopped was not anticipated. Somewhere in the middle of the woods, with nothing in sight that could be
considered as possible evidence for anything. If he wanted to molest her, he could have done it earlier.
She hid her disappointment and waited for the things to come.

"You know that you have a tracer in your back teeth?" asked the Sith.

"Yes. It is necessary to know my whereabouts in case of an Angel attack." replied the blue-haired girl.

"Well, today it is a hindrance that needs to be removed."

Before she could reply, a sharp pain drove through her jaw as the tooth was pulled out by sheer power. After that,
a burning sensation covered the wound, which stopped bleeding immediately.
She spit out the blood and the tooth, and received a chewing gum from the Sensei.

"To wipe out the taste of blood and burned flesh from your mouth." he explained.

Rei unwrapped the gum and started to chew it. The taste was something fruity, which she was unable to pinpoint,
but even so she liked it. She didn't know how he was able to pull out her tooth without touching her, and she
couldn't understand the satisfied expression on his face. Now nobody would know where they were going. Only the
cold logic that if he really wanted to hurt her, he could have done so at prior opportunities, stopped her from
running away. This, and her curiosity.

He pulled a little box out and pressed on something. What then happened would be engraved in her mind for the rest
of her days. The air started to shimmer like a desert mirage, and where there was nothing, there now stood a white,
elegant looking craft.

"That's an imperial Lambda-class standard-shuttle, nothing fancy. But it will be sufficient."

A ramp came down and they boarded the shuttle. He lead her to the cockpit, where she sat down in the left seat,
while he took the right. Then he started to activate several instruments, along with a joystick like device.
Rei had the impression that he used those controls very often. His fluid motions in using them, the almost
careless way he handled them indicated a close familiarity with them.
Seconds later, they started.

Rei flew often with the VTOLs, but this was something completely different. No vibrations from the engines, no
problems with her ears due to the pressure difference and no g-forces indicating that they were moving at all.
So far, this could just be a little show, but she doubted that. If they were really flying somewhere else, she
would see if they were landing in another location, or not. If not, this was most likely a ploy.

Her next surprise came immediately, as the shuttle didn't stop flying upwards. Soon, she could see the first stars
on a dark-blue sky, which changed soon to black.
Her pilot moved the shuttle in a circle, so that she could see back at the earth. Then he headed towards the moon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

They reached their destination, the backside of the moon, within an hour, which spoke volumes of the speed of this
'Shuttle'. While undoubtedly impressive, it was nothing compared to the sight of the thing that awaited them.

Nearly a kilometer long, triangular shaped with a large bridge section, the ship emanated an aura of power and
danger.

"What is this?" asked Rei, her eyes slightly widened by the impressive sight as the shuttle closed in to the ship.

"The 'Blade', a new Katana-class heavy cruiser. Nine-hundred meters long, 118 gun turrets, shields like a
battlecruiser and a strong reinforced hull. It is faster and more powerful than any other existing cruiser.
It has 4 fighter squadrons and 3000 ground troops aboard."

While Rei didn't understand the implications of those technical data, she knew if something was deadly and powerful,
or not. This ship, however, was clearly designed for only one thing. To attack, hard, and with overwhelming force.

The shuttle entered the large hangar, some sparkles indicated some kind of force field that shielded the hangar
against the loss of its atmosphere.

After the landing, they were greeted by a soldier in a uniform with 2 rows of insignias on his left breast. One
blue, the other one red.

"Captain Riintal, is everything prepared?"

"Yes, Grand Admiral. We have finished all preparations. Our new recruits are waiting in the officers´ club, where
they learn the rules and laws of the Empire. Due to their intelligence, they will have a promising career in the
imperial service."

"There is no need for flattering captain, she doesn't understand what you mean, and I already know these facts."

"Yes, Grand Admiral." replied the now subdued Captain.

Rei, who was distracted by the sight of the massive hangar, and the fighters that stood in the back of it,
registered the title of her Sensei only the second time.

<GRAND ADMIRAL? If that title means the same as on earth,......>

"Follow me." ordered her teacher.

"Where are we going?"

"To the medical bay."

"Why?"

"You need a new tooth."

Well, that was a logical explanation, so she followed him deeper into the warship.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

In the medical bay, the next surprise awaited her. Instead of a doctor, or even a nurse, a robot that her Sensei
called MD-5 took a little tissue-sample of her, and placed her under several scanners. This made her uncomfortable,
since she didn't understand the need for such a medical evaluation.
She played with the thought of resistance, but discarded it as futile. At least it was over soon.

The droid ignored her and reported to the Sensei.

"The new tooth will be ready within one hour. Should I make replacements for the other missing parts as well,
Grand Admiral?"

"Yes. She can later decide if she wants them or not. We have enough time."

"Yes, Grand Admiral."

Rei didn't think over this conversation, since she was otherwise complete. There was nothing missing. Only a soul
of her own.

As they left the medical bay, she decided to ask what was meant with the title 'Grand Admiral'.

"The people aboard this ship refer to you as 'Grand Admiral'. Does this title means the same as on earth?"

"No. A Grand Admiral on earth has very limited power. He is only part of the military, stands under control of
the government and the ministry of defense, or however it is called in the different countries of your home planet.
A Grand Admiral of the Empire has not only a superior military power, but a lot of political power as well.
I can remove, punish or reward any politician in the Empire, with exception of the Emperor himself.
And in the military, only the supreme Commander of the Imperial forces, Grand Admiral Paelleon, stands above me."

The political concepts of the Empire meant nothing to her, since she didn't know them. But the mentioning of superior
military power was very interesting.

"What do you mean with superior military power?" she asked.

"A Grand Admiral on Earth has only very few men and ships under his command. Even the greatest Admirals in the
history of your planet had never more than a half million of soldiers under their command.
Well, with one exception, Dönitz, but that was another matter. Currently, I have 4 complete fleets, several
shipyards and research facilities plus over a dozen inhabited worlds under my direct command. So, for several
billions of soldiers, officers, pilots and ground troops, my word is law.
And the same goes for 9 billion civilians."

Rei retained her calm posture, but inside, she was shaken badly.

<BILLIONS of soldiers? Four complete FLEETS? If this is true, he can do whatever he wants, whatever he wishes.
I have seen no evidence to support his claims, but so far, I never knew him to lie to me about anything, besides
his name. There are only some instances where he has said things, claimed truths which he hasn't backed up by
facts, but this he will possibly change today.
So, if he really does lie to me, why should he lie to me in this matter? To boost up his importance? I'm not a fool;
I know perfectly well that nothing on Earth could stop this ship. So he wouldn't gain anything by lying.
If he really is this powerful, the Commander and his scenario are doomed. And it could be better if I side with him,
as the Third already has.>

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As they arrived on the bridge, the next surprise awaited her. Instead of another human, they were greeted by a
humanoid female with bluish skin and two wormlike appendages that came out of her head.

"Rei Ayanami, this is Sioran T'ral, Lieutenant Commander and first officer on this ship. To answer your question,
she is a Twi'lek, one of over 12.000 species that are currently living in the Empire."

Rei bowed to the Lieutenant Commander, who smiled kindly at her. As warm as the smile was, the sharp and
needle-like teeth didn't do anything to calm her increasing fear.

They walked to the front of the bridge, where several view ports showed the harsh surface of the moon.

"Do you know why I brought you here?"

"Yes. You wanted to show me evidence that I was betrayed, betrayed by my creator. That I was lied to, that I was
deceived and used, abused in the worst possible ways."

"Correct. Why are your sisters in a tank down in Terminal Dogma?"

This question surprised her, but she didn't show it outwardly. She didn't know that the Sith was perfectly able to
read her inner feelings and musings.

"They have no soul of their own. All the clones have only one soul, derived of Lilith, which resides in me. The
others are only shells of flesh, unable to live outside the tank."

"Ha! Tell me, what is a soul? What creates a soul?"

"A soul is created by those whom cannot be named, although they are often referred to as gods or by some other
names. The unborn souls are residing in the room of gauf, and one of them leaves it and comes to Earth whenever a
new human is born."

"A nice theological answer. I want a scientific one."

"Souls cannot be defined by science."

"Do you know what a religion is?"

She looked questioningly at him.

"A religion is a good promoted fairy tale. Something that only depends on the beliefs of the people, with as much
science inside of them as 'Little red riding hood'. And using this as fundament, you are saying that you have no
soul of your own?"

"Yes."

While this answer was strange under the POV he offered her, it made completely sense under the things she learned
since she was little. And she was the Second, with the memories of the First. If she didn't inherit the soul,
how should she have the memories?

"Hm. Then I will tell you another answer. What you call 'soul', we call an echo in the force. Every living being
emanates one. Not only humans, as your rassistic religious texts are claiming. Other species emanates them, animals,
and even plants can be felt in the force. And this is something a lot of people can feel. Those people are called
'force-sensitive', if trained they are Jedi or Sith. In the force, I can sense you, myself, the officers on the
bridge, human or not, the other people aboard this ship, even the few pets that have been smuggled aboard. Every
living being can be felt this way. If you would have the training, you could feel it as well. But this can come
later. You are an artificial life form. And since you are not born, you received no soul from the room of gauf. And
so you get the soul of Lilith, right?"

"Yes." answered Rei with an almost inaudible voice. This topic was the only one which she considered painful,
and while she didn't show it, her weak voice betrayed her inner pain.

"And this is what your creator told you all the time. Since your birth, you were told that you have no soul of
your own, that your sisters are soulless shells, that you are nearly worthless, only useable as tools.
And, how convenient, he had a purpose for you, a purpose you can't survive. How fitting." he snarled at her.

A lonely tear made its way down her left cheek. Otherwise, she stood without motion, like a statue. Even her
face betrayed nothing. Only the wet trail of one tear did this.

"But if I am right, things are different. Then, you would have a soul of your own, as your sisters have."

"DO NOT PLAY WITH ME! I AM THE SECOND, I HAVE THE MEMORIES OF THE FIRST!
How could this be possible if Ihave not inherited her soul?" came her strangled outcry.
Tears now flooded down her face, not longer kept in check by her strong will.

The Sith looked coldly at her.

"Sometimes, you are really stupid. You are working on the dummy plug, right?"

"Yes."

"For the dummy plug, you transfer your memories to your sisters, right?"

"Yes."

"Your memories, not your soul, right?"

"Yes." she replied in a completely broken voice.

"You have the memories of the first, but does that mean that you have her soul, or that you simply have her
memories?"

Her eyes shot wide open as she heard this. In all the years that she yearned for a soul of her own, this train
of thought never came up. For her, the memories of the first were the evidence that she had her soul. But if only
the memory was transferred, if she had a soul of her own, then her world was.........false.

"My sisters......"

"They are in the tank to control them. They are immersed in a soup of LCL, nourishments and drugs. Drugs to dampen
their senses, to numb their minds, to keep them in a state where their memory could be upgraded each session you
synch with the dummy system. The tank is not necessary for their survival, it is a cage for them. A cage for your
sisters, which are all capable of becoming individuals, as could you, if only you could realize the immense amount
of lies your life is based on."

"You tell me those things, again and again, like a broken record.
BUT WHERE IS YOUR EVIDENCE?!"

"Follow me!"

With this, he grabbed her aggressively on her left arm and dragged her from the bridge into the lift. It took them
a little bit over a minute, until they arrived in a large training hall, which was packed full with armored
soldiers. Twenty rows, to each one hundred men, stood there, in full plated armors and strange helmets with black
eyes. She didn't understand how this army should be evidence for his claims.

"All soldiers, take the helmets off!" he commanded. And the soldiers did take them off.

Rei sank down on her knees as she looked in the faces of those troops.
In the five faces of them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

On the next morning, a surprise awaited the pupils of class 2A. Instead of their strange but good Sensei, an
equally strange woman stood in front of their class. Despite her loss of the left arm, she was a stunning beauty
with long golden-red hair and gray eyes. Her athletic body was covered in a leather dress, that seemed to have been
made out of some reptile.
Well, the shape of her face and her eyes was definitely strange, but most males in class ignored this.
They were to busy staring at her perfect body and well toned legs.

After the Inchou did her morning routine, she introduced herself.

"My name is Ka Tomoyo. You can call me Sensei or Ka-donno, I don't care. From now on, I will give you your lessons
whenever your regular Sensei is otherwise occupied. While my teaching methods will be rather similar, I have a
slightly different view of the world, so don't be surprised of some changes in your education."

In the silence that ensued after her introduction speech, only a whispered "HotHotHotHotHotHotHotHot", could be
heard. Tomoyo went to the desk where this noise emanated from, and looked down in the freckled face of the offending
boy, who looked back at her in awe. Well, at least he wasn't drooling......for now.

She looked around in the class, and saw, unsurprisingly, a lot of girls rolling their eyes. That gave her a nice
opportunity to give him something to think about without breaking her Jedi codex. While she couldn't simply
whack him a good one, she was obliged to let the local justice do their work, and help them whenever possible.

"Does someone else want to smack him a good one?"

Asuka, who had already found out that Kensuke took quite a few photos of her yesterday and sold them, immediately
raised her hand, shortly followed by 4 other girls.

"You have 5 minutes. I suggest you use the sport-field for the punishment, I'd get problems if the walls become
blood-stained."

Even as the girls dragged Kensuke out of the class, even after she condemned him to some serious pain, the boy
looked still in awe at her, simply unable realizing that he was doomed. It was that look that made Tomoyo call out:

"Make it 10 minutes!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Gendo Ikari was far from happy. First, his son ignored everything he did to make him miserable and had become more
stable than he should have been. Second, a strange person appeared, killed some of his people, and so far, he didn't
even had a clue why. Third, the second child had arrived, but instead of tormenting his son, she befriended the First.
And that brought him to the fourth point. Rei had been gone since yesterday afternoon; her tracer was found with the
discarded tooth, but she herself had vanished completely. That the Sensei wasn't here at the same time was a clear
indicator that he was responsible for this.

So he had ordered that the man be brought to him as soon as he reappeared again. The same for Rei. Whatever was
happening, he doubted that it would be beneficial for the scenario. And this must not happen.
The scenario was all that counted. He was ready to fight a war with heaven to achieve his goals, so a mere
mortal, no matter how deadly, was unable to stop him. If he had to remove him, he would do so.
Section 2 was not capable, but Rei was another matter. And if she refused, he would simply kill her and create a
new, more loyal clone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Rei awoke in an unfamiliar room, which she soon recognized as the medical bay of the ship. She sat up, and saw that
one of the Droids noticed this and came to her.

"Are you feeling better?" it asked.

"Yes, although my memory is foggy. What happened yesterday?"

"After you were shown the troops, you broke down in a crying fit, then you blacked out. As you woke up, you thrashed
around violently, so I had to sedate you for the time being. I will inform the Grand Admiral that you are awake."

It didn't take much time until he appeared. He walked directly to her and looked in her eyes.
They were full of pain and sorrow, and behind this, a small sparkle of anger burned inside of her.

"The tour wasn't completed. Ready to move on?"

"I'm hungry." answered Rei.

"Good. The final stage is at the dining hall. Put on your clothes and follow me."

At this time she realized that she was nude. But despite this, her Sensei hadn't looked at her breasts or her body,
but in her face and in her eyes. Interesting.

After she was clothed, she followed him to another lift, and then through a short corridor into a large hall, which
was nearly empty. Only a small part in one of the corners was occupied by a few persons, but they were hidden under
large cloaks.

<Cloaks aboard a starship? Strange. I wonder what the final stage will be. I doubt that he can show me more
convincing facts than he did yesterday.>

After she got her food, they went to the small group. She placed her plate on the table, which was something like a
trigger for the half dozen people to move into action.
Rei had anticipated some major response, but not that of being hugged by some strangers, without any apparent reason.
She backed up a little and looked in the face of one of the strangers.

And then she understood how wrong she was with her assumption that there wasn't more convincing evidence.
She looked in a pale face with red eyes, that sparkled with life and joy. She looked in the eyes of one of her
sisters.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Shinji hadn't had a good day. First, the Sensei wasn't here. The fact that Rei was absent as well already created
some rumors and assumptions, which he didn't like. Then, Kensuke, his friend even if he was an idiot, got nearly
clobbered into a new dimension, and finally, as he had his synch-tests, he didn't have a chance to talk with Maya.

And so he was already in a foul mood on his way home, as Hikari intercepted him to talk with him.

"Hi, Shinji."

"What do you want?" he asked in an unfriendly tone. The events after their one and only date were still clear in
his mind.

"I want to talk to you."

"About what?"

"I wanted to apologize. I know that I made some mistakes, but can´t we can start anew?"

Shinji was surprised to hear this. He played with the idea of getting along with her, but discarded it quickly. And
there had to be a reason for this event, so he wanted to know this first.

"Why?"

"Why not? We had a bad start, that was all."

"You are now together with Touji, if I remember right."

"Well, officially yes, but it isn't progressing any further. I mean, it was fun to go out with him, but as we were
at a fast food temple, I realized that my fries had a higher IQ than my escort for the evening."

"Well, I can only agree. The fact that he wants to be with you is testament to that."

Hikari flinched as she heard this. Things weren't running as she had planned.

"Hey, we had only one bad date. But I know that you are smart. And I like your looks." she said blushing.

Shinji simply shook his head.

"If I remember right, it was a little bit more than that. That the date went wrong is true. At that time I had
no experience with girls, no clue what was supposed to happen at a date. I told you this beforehand, but you
said that all would be right. At the evening itself, you weren't so kind. Each little fault I made was met
with insults and sarcasm. I did nothing improper, but you reacted as if I had wanted to rape you.
You ignored my apology and on the next day, you declared yourself Touji's girlfriend. And then you wanted him to
beat me up. Only the fact that he felt guilty about the incident from my first day saved me from that.
But I lost him as a friend. Sure I will forgive you. As soon as hell has frozen over." he finished sweetly.

"I know that I made some mistakes, but...."

"I'm seeing another woman. More mature, and better looking. Bye."

With that said, he went away. He knew that the last statements were only partially true. While Maya looked better
in his opinion, he didn't see her. He tried often enough, but something always happened that prevented him from
having a date. It was frustrating, but better than being with a little bitch like Hikari.

Hikari looked at him as he went away. Her eyes were wet with unshed tears. Yes, it was her fault that he lost
Touji as a friend. And yes, she treated him very badly at their date. He had every right to be angry at her, but
that didn't mean that she would give up on him.
While their date was boring, she was at least able to talk with him. At least when she didn't insult him because
of the little mistakes he made. And he was right. He had warned her about his inexperience.
As she slowly started to walk, she was determined to rectify this situation as soon as possible. Whatever she
needed to do, she would make her amends. And then she would ask for a second chance.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Rei and her sisters chatted for several hours, until the Sensei took her again to the medical bay.
On her way to it, she decided to ask an important question.

"I know that they are my sisters, but they are quite different from me. They have my control, but now, they let
their emotions run freely. I don't understand why."

"They are free. They didn't have to go back into the tank. Never again. They are intelligent, and with the proper
education, they have a good chance of a great career in the imperial service. For the first time in their existence,
they have something to look forward to; they can live. It is understandable that they are now emanating joy."

"I see. Why are we going to the medical bay again?"

"You are missing a tooth. This will be fixed now."

They arrived at their destination, where Rei could see her new tooth swimming in a clear liquid. In a tank beside it,
some organs swam in the same liquid, obviously some replacements for someone lacking them.

"I have another choice for you." announced her Sensei.

"And that would be?"

"You know that some parts of you were surgically removed?"

This question triggered some long lost memories, which told her that she wasn't as complete as she thought.
Her eyes widened as she realized what parts swam in the liquid in front of her eyes.

"Do you want them back?"

She answered without hesitation. "Yes."

He suddenly caused Rei´s body to be wrapped in a beam of blue light, causing her mind to fall into darkness.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Asuka was pissed. First, Rei wasn't in school, along with their Sensei. The rumors weren't all too nice either.
Her only highlight was the punishment of Kensuke, but this was only a short period of fun.
And now, after she made her way to Ayanami's apartment to ask her what was going on, the door sprung open as she
knocked. She found herself standing in an inhabitable, dirty dump. She didn't know why Ayanami lived in such a place,
but this would have to be remedied. Since she would get her permanent quarters in a few days, she would try to get
new ones for her teammate too. But what was the blue-haired girl thinking? She could get ill in this dump, and then
she would be unable to pilot. She would have to have a long talk with her strange new friend.

She left the place and walked to NERV, where she bothered Misato until the Captain gave up and agreed to talk with
the Commander about the living space of the First child. On her way out, she ran into Shinji, who was still damp
after a shower. He had already had a synch-test, so it was not surprising that he showered after it. LCL was a sticky,
foul smelling stuff, and very bad for her long red hair.
But since this gave her an opportunity to tease him, she would do so happily. She hadn't made up her mind considering
the Third so far. He was a mystery. Shy, wimpy, but sometimes strong and confident.

"Why are you so wet? Didn't you look out where you were shooting as you jerked off?"

Shinji simply grinned at her. "No. As much as I would have preferred that reason, it was simply the LCL."

Asuka looked wide-eyed at him. "At the ship you acted like a baka, now you speak like a pervert. I was right!
You are a baka hentai!" she yelled in his face.

Shinji looked hurt at her. "Hey, I may be a hentai, but I'm not a baka!"

This answer stunned Asuka; she literally needed to stop a few seconds to digest it. While she didn't mind if he
was a baka, a hentai as comrade wasn't acceptable to her. They would have to test together, and she definitely
could do without a perv showering only a few meters away from her nude form.

"What do you mean by that? Are you a peeping tom? Or another kind of perv? Spill it, baka!"

Shinji ignored her and didn't answer, so she gritted her teeth and said again: "Spill it, ecchi!"

Now he answered. "No, I don't peep. My hentai side is only reserved for people I have sex with. So you are safe,
little girl."

WHAM!

"I'm NOT a LITTLE girl!"

"Well, you sure act like one." came his reply, still holding his aching cheek.

Asuka fumed, but decided that inflicting more bodily harm on him wouldn't do her any good. She would have to work
with him, and she had no choice in this matter. Maybe Ayanami would know what kind of hentai he was. Then she could
ensure her safety with some appropriate actions.
As she made her way to her temporary quarters, she only hoped that the red-eyed girl would be back tomorrow.
Japan was so strange, and it's people even more.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As she awoke, she looked one more time at the already familiar ceiling of the medical bay of the Imperial ship.
After she awoke, Rei remembered that she wasn't anesthetized, but simply shot with some non-deadly weapon.
Since she was still alive, it was definitely one of this kind.

She sat up and was greeted with the sight of her Sensei, sitting on a chair beside her bed. This surprised her;
she didn't think that he would do such a thing for her. So far, nobody showed such an amount of caring towards
her. This startled her, but now, she had more pressing issues to solve. Rei stood up and gently shook him by the
shoulders.

He awoke fast and hard. Without loosing a second, he was fully awake and alert. After his brain came back online,
and he recognized the blue-haired girl, he relaxed.
Rei waited a little bit longer, then she asked the most pressing Questions in her mind, all in a row.

"When do you free my other sisters? When do we go back? How do we punish Ikari Gendo? When do we kill Ikari Gendo?"

The Sith groaned, then he answered. "Tonight. Tonight. Kill him in the most painful way possible. Don't know."

Satisfied with those answers, she put on her clothes and decided that she wanted to walk to her sisters, but she
realized that she didn't have a clue where they were. This ship was so big, she could search for weeks and still
not find them. So, instead of simply walking out, she looked questioningly at her Sensei.

He asked: "You want to see your sisters?"

Rei arched an eyebrow, surprised, then nodded in confirmation.

<How does he do that? How can he know what I want? Another mystery to be solved.>

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

"Things aren't going as planned."

"What exactly?"

"The Third isn't as depressed as he should be, and the Second started a friendship with Rei. Although one-sided so
far, Rei hasn't discouraged her. She is deviating as well. SEELE's envoy is much more nosy than we expected, and
above all them, we have this mysterious 'Sensei'."

"Do you think that we can follow the scenario despite all those hindrances?" asked the gray-haired professor.

Gendo exhaled his breath deeply. "No. I doubt it. So we have to remove some of those hindrances, before we can
follow the scenario again."

"And how do you want to accomplish this?"

"Since the Third, First and the Major are in quite close contact with the major disturbance, we will gather them
in my office, and I will make it clear who is the Commander and the one who makes all of the decisions. And if I
have to kill him, I will do so. In front of their very eyes. I won't tolerate this endangerment of my goals
anymore."

"But what if this plan backfires? Section 2 was unable to kill him, Rei probably won't kill him."

"He may have succeeded in a fight with my agents, but nobody is fast enough to escape bullets. He will surrender,
or he will die. In front of the persons whose believe in him most."

Fuyutsuki sighed. "And Rei?"

"If she will continue to be disloyal, she will be replaced. I do not need broken tools that are unable to fulfill
their purpose."

Fuyutsuki shook his head. He doubted that this plan would succeed. He already had an encounter with SEELE's envoy,
and he felt her power. And even she herself admitted that this 'Sensei' is more than equal in his power.
Gendo placed his trust in information from SEELE, who told him that their enemy wasn't that powerful, that he
hadn't the power of their envoy. But Fuyutsuki doubted that. If that would really be he case, the Jedi would have
tried to stop him from his killings. This would become interesting.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

After nightfall, four Assault Transports landed in close vicinity to one of the entrances to the geofront.
Only one of them had troops and medical staff aboard, the others were empty. They would be filled on their way back.

Rei exited the transport after the Sith. The guards were already shot down, the way inside the geofront secured.
She walked after him, all the way through the geofront, the entrance of the HQ, the HQ itself, and the entire way
down to Terminal Dogma.

As the soldiers fished one clone after another out of the tank, she could hear them mutter some strange sounds in a
foreign language. It sounded like swearing. Well, they were clones too.

The clones were brought to the transports, then they started their way towards their home ship.
The troops left only dead guards and destroyed security measures behind them.

Rei and the Sith watched as they started off and cloaked themselves.

"You have freed only my sisters. What about the other ones?" Rei demanded to know.

"I think your newfound friend has a right to know the truth, before they are freed as well. I will show her, then
I will free them, too. I doubt that two or three days will make that much of a difference."

Rei narrowed her eyes. "Free them as soon as possible." she demanded.

"I will."

"How do you plan to show these secrets to Asuka?"

"Asuka?"

"The second."

The Sith raised an eyebrow. "You are on first-name basis with her?"

"She said so."

"And you agreed?"

"She pointed out that we are both pilots and therefore should stick together. I agree with this logic."

The Sith sighed disappointed. "I see."

Rei looked at him. "Did you want to hear another answer?"

"You need to learn living in a normal environment. Not everything can be measured by mathematics, not everything
can be explained by logic and science. I hoped that you agreed out of friendship."

"I do not understand the concept behind this label."

"Maybe she can help you understand."

"I doubt that I can stop her." If another one would have said this sentence, the annoyance could have been
clearly heard.

The Sith only smiled. If his soon-to-be-apprentice didn't know how to function normally, she wouldn't understand the
subtleties if being evil, the joy of letting others suffer, the amusement of letting assholes wallow in pain.
So she need to learn those things first. If this was only possible through Jedi-like things such as friendship,
then so it shall be.

"When do you kill Ikari Gendo?"

"I don't know. First, I need all of the information about your technology, and all parties involved in this madness
called third impact. Then I need a plan to deal with them. If necessary, I will conquer this dust ball, but I really
would like to avoid this. The Empire has enough backwater planets under its dominion; I don't have the desire to
add one more."

Rei looked disappointed.

"And beside that, I don't think that I should be the one killing him."

Her eyes darted immediately at the Sith.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, that some other persons have more right to kill him than I. I would be satisfied with a nice recording
of his slow and painful death."

"You are the only one with the ability of making him suffer more than everyone else."

"My apprentice would have that ability too."

"You have an apprentice?"

"No."

Rei thought over these statements, as she finally came to the only logical conclusion.

"Who could become your apprentice?"

"Anyone with the ability to use the force. And with a lot of anger and hate. Such a person would be fitting."

"And who among us can feel the force if properly trained?"

"All the pilots, and some other kids in your class. I have to admit that I'm impressed at such a large group
of force-sensitive persons being in one place, especially since nobody on this planet has a clue what the force is.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that all of them are pilot candidates as well."

"So I could be your apprentice?" she wanted to ask, although she already knew the answer.

"Theoretically, yes."

"And how long have you planned this?"

"As soon as I found your sisters."

"When do we start with the training?"

"Whenever you want."

"Tomorrow, then?"

"So it shall be."

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As Rei made her way home, she was intercepted by some Section 2 agents.
She didn't show any resistance as she was brought down into NERV HQ, down to the office of her former Commander.

As she stood in front of his desk, he studied her intensely.

"Where were you?" asked the Commander.

"Where no one from this planet was before."

"I know that you were with your teacher. What kind of relationship do you have with him?"

"He is my master."

Despite his still statuesque position, Gendo was in inner turmoil. Whatever this answer meant, it was
unacceptable. Now he was sure that he would need to replace her as soon as possible.
Another team was on its way to bring her teacher here, and after confronting him, he would replace her.

"This will not happen."

Gendo looked questioningly at her.

"You will not replace me, as you are unable to win."

"We'll see."

She knew, he could counter her angel-abilities with drugs and technology, and for now, she hadn't received any
training as a Sith. But she had faith in the abilities of her new master.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

A team of eight agents awaited the Sith at the door of his apartment.
They had the order to bring him to the Commander alive, at all costs.

Seven of them charged in an attack to beat him unconscious, after their tranquilizer darts had failed.

One after another, they died in gruesome ways.

Number one exploded in flames and burned to death.

Number two simply froze to an ice-statue.

Number three was hit by a fist that caused his head to explode like an overripe melon. His brain was splattered
over the entire corridor.

Number four received a long cut across his abdomen, causing his inner organs to land with a loud *splatch* on
the floor. There he whimpered, until another hit of the energy blade cut his chest in two.

Number five lost his head. Literally.

And Number six´s neck was effortlessly broken.

Finally, number seven enjoyed the feeling of his lungs freezing.

So, only one was left. He witnessed the forming of the intimidating armor, the draw of the dark-blue energy weapon,
the slaughter of his comrades. He was the only one who hadn't attacked.
As the armored man made his way towards him, he peed in his pants.

"Why are you here?" demanded the silver-armored figure to know.

"Commander Ikari wants to speak to you."

"When?"

"Now." he whimpered in complete and utter fear.

"Then bring me to him." answered the deep voice that came out of the helmet.

This was an answer the agent didn't expect to hear.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As Shinji and Misato made their entrance into the office of the Commander, they were both greeted by a sight that
none of the two expected. Rei laid there, handcuffed and bound. Over a dozen heavily armed security guards stood
behind the Commander, and an equal number behind the sub-Commander, who stood on the side of the office.

Gendo ordered them at the other side, where they should wait for the things to come.

A few minutes later, Ritsuko came in and took her place at Fuyutsuki's side.

The stage was set, with both Misato and Shinji puzzled over the meaning of this event.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Hikari hadn't had a good day. First, she was shot down by Shinji, and now, she was unable to try again because
he wasn't home. And Touji asked her, again, to go to the movies with him, which she declined, again.
While the possibility of having him as boyfriend was very tempting at the start, it very quickly had become
a complete nightmare.

She wasn't a genius, but she had more than just one interest, while Touji was completely fixated on sports.
Even the movies he wanted to watch were sports-movies, for god's sake!

What she told Shinji this morning was true. She made a big mistake. While Touji was very sensitive to his
family members, his lifestyle was so far off, at least in her opinion, that she saw no chance for a real
relationship. She wanted somebody to talk to, to confide in. Someone who was there for her, and who was able
to talk with her.

To put it simply: She realized that a good body alone was completely and utterly worthless, at least in a serious
relationship. If it wasn't backed up with brains, it was a no-winner. So she wanted to try it again with Shinji.
He was interested, and she wanted that he would be with her again.
And if she had to work a little bit for it, she would do so.

Hikari heard some rumors that Shinji was together with a girl as he was absent for a week, and his change in behavior
was a clear indicator for the truth of this rumor. At her date, he wasn't even able to talk normally with her.
He stuttered around, annoyed her to no end with his inexperience and babbling.
She knew that she overreacted back then, but she would correct this mistake. Even if he really was a pervert,
as other rumors claimed.

Hikari shrugged as she thought over the implications of this title. In spite of what some of her classmates believed,
she was, thanks to her older sister, very well educated in the field of eroticism and sex.
And Shinji was a complete beginner. She doubted that he could have learned a lot in just a week, and perversions
were extremely unlikely. And even if the rumors were true, what the other students considered as perverted actions
were often completely normal techniques.

After these contemplations, the freckled girl decided to go the easiest way. After she was friends with him again,
she would simply ask him. Before she would try to start a more intimate relationship.
If he really wanted something she didn't like, she could always draw back and let it be a normal friendship.
Satisfied with her decision, the Inchou started her way home.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As Misato and Shinji entered the Commander's office, they were confronted with some highly disturbing and
unusual things. That Fuyutsuki and Ritsuko were there wasn't a surprise, but a handcuffed, bound, and gagged Rei
was a very big one. And the fact that over 20 security guards were there as well fitted in the same category.

Gendo glared at his son.

"I know of your 'Sensei' and his ploys to disturb my scenario. Today, I will solve this matter once and for all,
and you all will witness it. Nobody crosses my path without some serious repercussions. I would advise that you
won't forget this day."

While Shinji was shocked by the treatment of Rei, Misato understood the implications of the Commander's speech
very well. It was a warning, for her too. Shinji disregarded that speech and the surrounding scenario as
irrelevant. He hated his father, and if he really pissed the sensei off, he would see him die today. That was what
he hoped, at least. And he decided to state this once and for all.

"Oh, I won't forget." he declared. "I always wanted to see how you would get your ass kicked."

Gendo scowled at him, but took no other action. First, he had to deal with the disturbance to his plans. After this,
everything would be fine again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Unseen under the helmet, the Sith smiled broadly. He anticipated a confrontation with the Commander from the
beginning, that it was so soon was even better. He knew it was quite possible that he had called for information
through the channels of SEELE to gain knowledge of his abilities.

As he was on his way, led by the surviving agent, he planned the entire encounter in advance. Undoubtedly, Ikari
Gendo would try to present himself as the superior, as the man in control of everything.
Well, he dealt with the Emperor, with Tharagon and many other extremely powerful people. Compared to them,
Ikari was a little boy with a pink balloon that pouted to gain what he wanted.
Well, this meeting would be amusing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As Tenel Ka entered the office she was invited into, she felt a sense of upcoming doom as soon as she entered the
office and felt an empty bubble in the force. Behind Akagi, a small Cage with an ugly snake-like animal stood.
An Ysalamiri, a creature that had the ability to create bubbles where the force didn't exist.

Since she was invited, it was only meant as warning for her, but not as a threat. At least for now.
And there was only one other person who was trained in the ways of the force. This meeting would be very
interesting. Especial since the precious First child laid bound and gagged on the floor.

She couldn't use the force to gain knowledge of her status, but Rei's glares indicated that she was well.
Now, she had only to wait for things to come.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Rei lay on the cold floor, waiting for the arrival of her new master.
To say that she was furious would have been a major understatement. The betrayal of her creator ran so deep, that
she couldn't imagine it, not even after she saw the truth. Not only had she been betrayed, but after her
realization, she had to ask what she should feel after this realization. If the Sensei didn't tell her that she
should be furious and craving for revenge, she wouldn't even know this.

That she was bound and drugged to suppress her abilities didn't bother her much. The possibility of being replaced
on the other side was a grave insult to her. She knew that her sisters were already freed. But Asuka's were not.
If she would be killed, the liberation would be endangered.
She valued her life not so high as to put it above those of Asuka's sisters. Despite her memory purges, they
all had their own unique personalities and were able to enjoy life, something she would have to learn to do.
She was more artificial than they.

Only two goals were in her mind. To ensure the liberation of the clones, and the death of Ikari Gendo. She knew,
today, he wouldn't be killed. The Grand Admiral didn't have enough ground troops here to conquer the planet and get
the information he needed intact. He would talk to the Emperor soon, to get the reinforcements he needed.
And then, her creator would die. She only hoped that she could watch his death.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

The journey didn't take too long, and the Sith entered the office. Engulfed in his armor, which was modeled after
the appearance of Darth Vader's, only in silver, he was an impressive sight.
The Sith smiled under the helmet. A lot of other Sith questioned him as to why he used such an armor if it was
unnecessary. Contrary to their blindness, he planned for every occurring possibility. He knew his weaknesses, and
he was determined to overcome them with the help of technology. It wasn't different from the usage of a spaceship.
He couldn't fly through the space without it, so he used the technology to accomplish this. As all others as well.
But they weren't able to see that it was all the same.

And the Vong were another reason for this little technological gadget.
Since they had taken Myrkr, they had access to Ysalamiri, which was a grave danger. The fact that one of them was
in this office was testament to that. Well, if he couldn't rely on the force, he had his armor and his weapons,
which saved his life more than once.

The office was clearly made to impress. Big, dark and with some symbols on the ceiling, it could intimidate every
person who came inside.
The Sith chuckled unseen, he found this attempt only pitiful. Compared to the dark halls of the Sith temple, or
the Emperor's palace, it looked like the vision of grandeur from a toddler.
The heavy sound of breathing filled every corner of the office and made an intimidating effect. But this was only
a secondary effect, more importantly, the filter systems were able to shield him from all poisons, even if he was
unable to use the force. Very useful in battles against the Vong.

He ignored the Commander and went straight to his new apprentice. With a quick slash from his sword, she was freed.
As she was still unable to stand up, it wasn't hard to guess that she was drugged or poisoned. The first would be
hurtful for the Commander, the second deadly.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Gendo wasn't pleased as his visitor freed Rei. But now wasn't the time for silly mistakes like bickering about that.
The fact that his enemy was armored and his face shielded from view destroyed his advantage he always had through
the usage of his sunglasses and his trademark position.
He cursed inwardly, as he realized that some of his information was wrong. SEELE told him that Sith and Jedi
were too proud to use technology to overcome their weakness. Well, considering the Jedi, they were right.
But his main enemy wasn't that foolish. He himself used technology to fight against god, and his enemy used it
to fight his enemies as well.

After the armored figure was finished with Rei, he stood in the middle of the office, unmoving and threatening.
The ceiling had the systema sephirotica engraved, and was made of some strange crystal they found in the geofront.
It gleamed red when a human stood under it, blue by an angel, and white by the Jedi.
Now it was completely black.
Gendo said nothing. He would wait for his enemy to make the first step.
Patience was a virtue, now he would test if this was another dangerous threat his enemy possessed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

The Sith had a hard time avoiding the urge to roll around laughing on the floor. The little idiot who called himself
the Commander of this installation tried to test his patience in order to gain the upper hand. How cute.

He waited for 30 minutes, then he decided to act. He had to do something, or else he couldn't hold his laughter for
much longer. He drew his blaster and shot the Ysalamiri. As soon as the force flew through him, he regained his
inner strength. Now he could wait for eternity, not giving anything away, much less rolling on the floor, laughing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Gendo didn't even blink as the Ysalamiri was shot. He hadn't thought that the first action of his 'guest' would
be that hostile, especial since there was that much security personnel in the room.
Well, that would be more interesting than he thought. And definitely more deadly than any meeting with SEELE.

The fact that the Sensei didn't fear the security was a clear indicator that he was sure to be able to take them out,
if needed. And as much as Gendo hated to admit it, he had the superior technology and firepower.
And the same ruthless will as himself to use such advantages.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

After another half hour, the Sith deactivated his armor. Now his eyes were still hidden behind visor-like sunglasses,
but his confident smirk could now be seen from the others. This unnerved Gendo, and he started to speak.

"You cannot dodge all bullets. And you lack the ability to stop them with this 'force'."

"True."

"What are your intentions?"

"I want all information considering the AT-field. All technical data, all specifications and a working prototype
of an AT-field generator."

"No."

"Well, I will get it, one way, or another."

"Stop interfering with my plans, leave this city, and you shall live. Decline this, and you will die, now."

Suddenly, a blinding light filled the office, blinded everyone with the exceptions of the Commander and the Sith.
Only Gendo could witness as the light formed in front of the Sith, and flew in a wide arc through the office,
burning through the skulls of the security personnel and causing their heads to explode.

The entire office was painted with blood, brain and other gore. While Gendo calmly sat in his chair, and the Sith
continued smirking, Fuyutsuki's eyes widened in horror, and Ritsuko gasped in shock.
Misato was even more shocked, but had better control over herself. Rei would have cheered, if she would have been
able to, and Shinji observed it with horror. Only the fact that he was too shocked to even pee his pants spared him
from the embarrassment of such an occurrence.

"I don´t think I am going to leave. I think I´ll stay, gather more information, and further attack your people.
Your chances of stopping me are not even worth mentioning. It is even possible that we may find a suitable solution
for both of us, but I wouldn't bet on that. However, I have a few demands. Ayanami's living quarters are not
suitable for her. Since the Second already requested her relocation, you should have no problems with covering it.
I do not fear you, your pawns, or SEELE. Your so called enemies, the 'Angels' are nothing more than peaceful little
smurfs compared to me. Do as I wish, and maybe I won't do as much damage. I have to go now, for I have more important
meetings to attend. We will talk again."

Gendo didn't stop the Sith as he turned around, he knew that this time, he had no more hidden jokers.

The Sith stopped and turned around again. "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot."

He walked to Gendo and grinned at him.

Gendo cried in pure agony as his left eye froze to an ice cube.

"Never threaten me again, or my allies. The consequences would be dire."

Then he took Rei up from the floor and laid her over his shoulder.
After this, he left he office, leaving shocked witnesses and a Gendo in pain behind.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

Tens of thousands of light years away, the last existing Jedi Master tossed around in his bed. He was engulfed in
a vision to which all of his previous nightmares paled in comparison. He saw the surface of a destroyed planet.
The planetary crust was shattered, Lava and Magma sprouted hundred of meters high into the darkened sky.

The planet was dying. There was nothing that could save it. But even this was nothing compared to the sight that
presented itself on the skies of the heaven of this planet. A shrinking sun, preparing to explode like a nova.
But this was not a natural occurrence.

On a large hill, on a throne above the destruction, a lone figure stood, clad in black clothes; it radiated the purest
of evil. Not even the worst of the Sith like Palpatine or Vader were this tightly bound to the dark side.
The skin of the figure was blackened as if he stood on fire, flakes of ash flew down on the scorched earth.
Its eyes shone bright with pure evil, the hairs were burned away by the surges of dark energy that ran over its body.

To the feet of the figure, the dead corpse of a girl or young woman laid. Her head was shattered, her death clear to
see. And this was the reason for the madness that consumed the person who stood vigilant over the dead body, the
person whose revenge ravaged the entire solar system, the person who could only be considered as the greatest
threat to the galaxy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------

As Luke Skywalker awoke, he was greeted by a sight he didn't ever expect to see again. Illuminated by a shimmering
aura, his old master stood beside his bed.

"Master Yoda?" he asked, surprised.

"Surprising this is. Not expected by you, my presence is."

"I thought you were gone forever."

"Not good you are looking. A dark vision you had."

"You know about it? What does it mean? Can I prevent this from happening?"

"A great threat, pure of evil it is. Avoided it can be. The girl you must save, then the evil succeed will not.
Your friends you will need, the best you must gather to have. Only then, avoided the bloodshed can be. The force, in
balance it is not. But changed this must be. Go to the planet where the princess is on a mission, and find the key,
you will. But lose time you must not. Running short time is, do not underestimate the power of the dark side of
the force."

Still shaken from the vision, Luke nodded and answered: "I will, Master."
