This is going to be a two part chapter so I hope you dig it.

 

*Bodyguard Pt.1*

 

The night came and had went, the sun was starting to creep over the sky and the people who would be up at this time were already on the roads and the reconstruction of the city had started up again. Among all the people walking the streets two teenagers were out jogging around a park.

 

Yes Michael woke Shinji up again and now they were jogging, more like Michael was jogging and Shinji was trying to keep up. Michael looked back to see Shinji was starting to lag behind so he decided they could take a break.

 

“Shinji how bout we take a few minutes and rest up some.” Shinji's only response was falling on the grass sprawled out. Michael could only chuckle at the display he just did.

 

“How far have we jogged?” Shinji asked trying to level his breathing.

 

“Well if I am correct we have jogged almost a mile and half.” Michael looks over to him and smiles as he sees his head hit the ground. Shinji turns around and puts his arms under his head and looks up at the sky.

 

“Michael…” He looks over at Shinji who is concentrating on something to say.

 

“What is it like to have all those powers?” Shinji looks over to at him and sees Michael looking at the sky.

 

“I can't really say I have an answer for that because I have always have had them, it would be like me asking what is it like to be human but I can try giving you an answer.” Michael starts to think of something to say but it is hard.

 

“Being on your planet I can say it will have its advantages like me never really having to worry on getting hurt by anything or anyone but the bad thing is trying to keep it a secret from other people so they wouldn't get scared of me.” Michael looked over at Shinji and smiled at him and shrugged his shoulders and stood up.

 

“I know what you mean on keeping stuff like that a secret because of me being an eva pilot people out there would be always trying to interviewing me or something to that nature and I don't want that.”

 

Michael just nodded and looked up at the sky for a minute longer and then back at Shinji. “Well let's head back to the apartment for more wrath of Asuka.” Shinji just laughed at that and they both started to head back to the apartment.

 

Mean while back at the apartment Misato was sleeping still because she got home late last night. Asuka was sitting in the kitchen tapping her fingers on the table not in a good mood.

 

`I can't belief that baka didn't make my breakfast this morning.' Asuka was staring at the entrance to the kitchen waiting for any noise of the two guys. She did hear a door shut within the apartment meaning that someone else is awake now.

 

Rei walks in the kitchen but stops when she notices that Asuka is staring at her. They stayed like that for what seemed like minutes until Rei broke that staring and walked over and sat down in a chair also.

 

“Why are you still here?” Asuka asked breaking the silence and Rei looking over at her.

 

“My living quarters where destroyed so I have no were else to go except here and the major has had no objections of me being here.” Rei answered in her monotone voice.

 

“Well don't ever bother me and never come into my room is that clear wondergirl.” Asuka stares at her.

 

“I do not wish to go into your privacy but I understand clearly second child.” Rei said the last part with anger. Asuka was shocked to say the least at the tone the first child just gave her.

 

She was about to say something but she heard noise coming from the living room and it sounded like two teenage boys. As soon as they came into the kitchen they stopped and looked at the two girls sitting at the table

 

“Welcome back guys did you enjoy your little jog?” Asuka asked with anger in her voice.

 

“Sure did, it is a really beautiful day out.” Michael replied walking over to the sink to get some water.

 

“Why didn't you make breakfast this morning Shinji?” Asuka stood up and stared at him with anger in her eyes.

 

Shinji was now getting scared he didn't want to get killed so young. “Sorry…” was his only response. Asuka was about to go over there and make him sorry.

 

“What are you sorry for she has two hands she can make her own food.” Michael says making Asuka turn and look at him.

 

“This doesn't concern you so shut up.” Michael turns around and stares back at her.

 

“Well it concerns me now so I am not, all you do is fucking whine and complain about what Shinji or everyone else does, but the only problem is you're to fucking stupid to realize it is you that has a problem.”

 

Shinji slowly walked over to the table and sat down next to Rei and was staring at the two arguing.

 

“Don't you dare talk to me like that!” Asuka yells at him.

 

“What, you can and no one can yell at your highness.” Michael still hasn't raised his voice. Asuka was starting to really get annoyed.

 

“Why did you have to come here why don't you go back were you came from.” Asuka told him.

 

“Do you think I wanted to come here, I didn't ask to come here and stay with a loud mouthed brat.” He was still staying calm and that is what made Asuka even angrier.

 

“You shut up now.” Asuka said in a dangerous low voice.

 

“Or what…” he waited for her to reply but she didn't. “Do you really think I would get scared of your threats?” He looked over to her and to see her head down.

 

Shinji and Rei where still there watching the whole thing and they did not want to say a thing so they just kept quiet. Asuka meanwhile had her head down and was gritting her teeth she was clenching her fists tight.

 

It stayed like that for another two minutes, no one moving or talking and the sounds that were made was them breathing. Asuka then out of know were lunged at him aiming for his face with so much anger in her face.

 

It looked like the punch was actually going to make contact and when it did Rei and Shinji stood from their chairs. Asuka had her fist planted right in his left cheek but Michael just stood there looking at her not even flinching in any pain.

 

She dropped her fist and stared at him in shock. To her it felt like she punched a wall.

 

“Asuka I told you not to hit me.” He stated real calm and just stared into her eyes the whole time seeing the emotions go through her eyes.

 

He smiled at her and that got everyone confused. “It is ok though that you did.” He turned around and started to go to the freezer and got some ice out and put it in a wash cloth.

 

“Sit down and I will make breakfast ok?” Asuka just stares at him wondering why the sudden change.

 

As on reading her thoughts he tells her that everyone needs to let out his or her anger sometimes. She just looks at him and he just keeps on smiling at her.

 

“Here take this and put it on your fist I know that hurt.” He gave her the ice pack and went back to the refrigerator. She looked at her fist and saw how red it was and it did hurt so she did what he said and sat down and put the ice pack on it.

 

All three of the eva pilots just sat there silently wondering on just what happened. Michael started to make some breakfast as he said he would.

 

“That is another thing I hate about my powers Shinji.” Michael tells him with his back turned to him. Both the girls turn and look at Shinji and all he can do is just nod his head and gave a sad smile.

 

“I understand.” That is all that needed to be said at the moment.

 

During the whole argument Misato was still sleeping but she did finally wake up to the smell of food coming from the kitchen. She gets up and walks into the kitchen but stops. All the kids were sitting at the table eating without fighting and that made Misato very confused.

 

She walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed her beer and popped it open and drank half of it and then let out her yell.

 

“OH YEAH, THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT!” She made Michael and Rei jump but Shinji and Asuka were use to it. She walks over to the table and sits down starts to eat the food that's been set out on the table. As she is eating she looks at all the teenagers that are sitting at her table.

 

“So how is everyone doing today?” She is trying to break the uncomfortable silence.

 

“I am doing great another beautiful morning.” Michael was the first one to speak.

 

“I'm fine.” That time it was Shinji and he still ate with his head down.

 

“I am also doing fine major.” Rei answered in her usual tone and also kept on eating. Asuka didn't even bother answering. Misato looked over at her and started to wonder what was wrong with her.

 

“Misato what is going to happen with nerv and all the evas?” It was Shinji who spoke and even Asuka looked up from her food to listen to the answer. Misato looked down from there faces for a moment and knew that Shinji wouldn't like the answer.

 

“Since Seele is still out there we will have to start training again incase they attack.” Shinji looked down and didn't feel like eating anymore.

 

`I thought after all this there would be no more fighting.' He was thinking to himself. `I mustn't run away, I mustn't run away.' He repeated his mantra in his head and then looked over at Rei then stopped.

 

`Is Rei frowning but why?' He looks over at her a little more and sees the fear in her eyes. `She is scared about all this.' Shinji suddenly felt a confidence he never felt before.

 

“That's ok Misato as long as I am breathing I will protect everyone.” He gets up and started to collect the dishes. He hears something fall behind him and sees all three of the girls staring at him with wide eyes, “what?”

 

“That's great Shinji…may I ask were did that sudden burst of courage come from.” Misato looks at him like this isn't her Shinji anymore.

 

Shinji turns back around and looks at the sink, “I don't want anyone to suffer anymore.” He puts the dishes in the sink and starts to fill it up with water. All three girls are shocked and Michael can only shake his head in respect.

 

“Well if you all are done I will do the dishes now.” Shinji starts gathering all the dirty dishes. Asuka get up and walks to her room and just clothes the door. Misato sees this and gets concerned for the fragile german girl.

 

“What happened to Asuka?” She looks at the others. Shinji and Rei look over to Michael and he just looks at Misato.

 

“She and I got into in argument and she punched me in the face but it didn't have any affect on me and that's when she started to be all quiet and stuff.” Misato just frowned.

 

`That isn't like Asuka.' She turned and looked towards the living room. Shinji had started to do the dishes and Rei decided to help him.

 

“Michael I need to speak with you in my room please.” He looks over at her and sees that she has a serious face on so he stands up and nods his head. Him and Misato walk out and head towards her room.

 

 

When they get there Misato points to a chair for Michael to sit in and he does. Misato closes the door and walks over to her bed and sits down at the edge. They both stay quiet for what seems like forever to Michael but Misato finally breaks the silence.

 

“There are two things I would like to talk to you about.” She looks over at him and sees he is listening.

 

“First off since nerv is running low on personnel mostly soldiers we were wondering if you would like to join us to mostly protect Shinji, Asuka, and Rei.” Misato looked over at him again to see he was looking out her window with a small smile on his face.

 

“You know I wouldn't say no to any of you guys Misato.” She smiles at him really happy that he wouldn't deny it.

 

 

“I'm glad that you will help us and for that you will get paid also and you will get a badge so you will be able to enter the complex.” She gets up and reaches for something behind him but something doesn't go unnoticed by Michael.

 

As she is reaching for whatever she is showing a whole lot down her shirt and his eyes go wide and he starts to blush and sweat. Misato grabs an envelope and stands back up and looks down to see Michael blushing real hard.

 

`What is wrong with him why is he blushing so hard?' Misato starts to think of the events that just took place and then she started to smirk.

 

“Well Michael here is your new ID card so you can get into the command center.” Misato is forming a plan in her head trying not smirk. She is handing him the card when Misato drops it on the floor.

 

“How clumsy of me let me grab that.” She bends down and to Michaels displeasure sees down her shirt again and starts to grip the chairs arm rest.

 

`CRACK' the arm rest breaks making Misato jump and Michael falling on the ground.

 

“I'm sorry I didn't mean to.” Michael stands up and tries to piece back the chair. Misato starts to laugh.

 

“Its ok Michael I can always replace it.” Michael gathers all the pieces and threw them away still feeling bad about it.

 

“Well thanks for the badge and everything I will be going now.” Michael was about to open the door when a hand stopped him and turned him around.

 

“Before you go the second thing I need to you.” Michael turns completely around shaking his head.

 

“I want to tell you something about Asuka.” Michael flinches at the mention of her name but some how he knew this would come up.

 

“Ever since I knew Asuka she has always wanted to be the best, number one to say the least but she some how met a challenge in the form of Shinji but he never meant to beat her in anyway but Asuka didn't care she was determined but that was her fall at the end.” Michael looked confused he didn't know what she was talking about.

 

“Michael, Asuka might seem strong on the outside but she is very weak in the inside.” He lowered his head to the ground feeling very bad now.

 

“I didn't know, I would never mean to hurt her.” Michael looked up at her and Misato gave him a small smile.

 

“Its ok I know you didn't know.” Michael walks over to her desk and starts to look for something. Misato is confused and is about to ask what he is doing but then he grabs a piece of paper and a pen and starts to write on it.

 

After he was done writing he folded up and started to walk out of the door leaving a confused Misato behind. During the whole time Misato and Michael were talking Asuka just lied on her bed trying to forget what happened.

 

`You're to fucking stupid to realize it is you that has a problem.' Asuka couldn't get that out of her head and it just kept on repeating.

 

`Stupid ass hole, who does he think he is.' She thought to herself.

 

He smiled at her, “Everybody needs to let out there anger sometimes.” She cracked a small smile when she remembers him giving her the ice for the pain.

 

“Why does he care?” She asked herself quietly. She was holding her pillow to herself trying to comfort herself.

 

`Why do bad things always happen to me, what have I done so wrong that I am always being tortured?' She was starting to feel a sting in her eyes.

 

`First momma and then Shinji he always found a way to win and those MP evas.' Thinking of those just made her shudder. She gripped the pillow tighter fighting off the tears that were about to come out.

 

`No crying Asuka, you are not weak.' She shut her eyes and when the feeling finally went away she opened them back up and just stared at the wall.

 

She stayed like that for a while longer until she heard a noise coming from her door. She turns around in time to see a piece of paper get pushed through the bottom of her door.

 

`What the hell?' She gets up and walks over to her door. She hears someone walking away and she bends down and picks it up. She opens it up to see that it was a letter.

 

`Dear Asuka I am really sorry if I have hurt you I am not that kind of person to do such things. If you don't want to forgive me that is ok with me but I would like to make it up to you. Anything you want to do ok? Just don't kill me (smiley face). As I said before I am really sorry.

 

Michael.'

 

At the bottom of the letter it has a stick figure and it has one of its hands in the back of his head and is smiling.

 

Asuka couldn't help but smile at the letter in her hand, he was apologizing. She read it one more time and smiled even bigger and to Asuka she hasn't smiled like that in a long time.

 

`What is this feeling in my chest, I have never felt something so…nice.' She thought to herself.

 

`He isn't so bad after all he is actually nice and doesn't seem on wanting to hurt me but I still can't be to sure of that but I will forgive him and take him to a shopping trip he will never forget.' Asuka smirked and folded up the letter and put it in her dresser and walked out of her room.

 

Shinji and Rei were doing the dishes together neither one of them talking about what just happened. Shinji would wash and rinse while Rei dried them with a towel. They stayed in that routine for about five minutes.

 

“Where did Michael come from?” Rei asked all of a sudden making Shinji almost drop a plate on the ground.

 

“Well on what he told me he came from a planet that dealt with a lot of war and pain kind of like here but people were the warriors not the evas.” Shinji continued with washing and rinsing.

 

“He told me though that his family fled and went to a different planet and he was raised to be in a non-war atmosphere but the war came there and he said that he suddenly found himself falling here into the LCL ocean.”

 

It was silent again so they just continued with dishes but something was bugging Shinji and he wanted to know something from Rei.

 

“Rei” he looks at her and she looks at him. “How did you escape or how did you get out of Lilith?” The question caught her off guard.

 

Rei herself doesn't know how she escaped and up until now hasn't really given it any thought. She thought back when the commander tried to use the Adam fragment to help get Yui back by using her.

 

“I-I don't know, I don't remember anything after entering Lilith” she paused for a minute to think. “The only thing I remember is waking up in your room.” She looks over at him with a sad expression.

 

Shinji is shocked to say the least that lately Rei has been showing emotion and it is kind of nice and weird.

 

“I haven't been feeling really well lately because of all these new emotions I am dealing with, some of them I can't figure out.” Her voice starts to crack and he can see that tears are starting to form in her eyes. He doesn't know what to do in this situation.

 

“I am so frustrated that all this is happening and I can not decipher on what emotion is what. I feel like my whole head is about to explode.” She starts to cry.

 

“I'm scared.” That's the last thing that Shinji wanted to hear come from her. Rei was always so together but now she was falling apart with all the new emotions unlocked in her.

 

Shinji didn't know what to do; he looked down at the girl crying in front of him and felt really sad that all this is happening to her. The only thing he could come up with would scare him but now wasn't a time to be scared.

 

`I won't runaway, I won't runaway.' He kept on repeating that in his head.

 

He took a few steps over to her, lifted up his arms and pulled her into a hug. She was shocked at first but soon she started to cry into his chest.

 

As she cried into his chest all of Shinji's instincts took over and he soon found himself rubbing her back with one hand and holding her head in another. Feeling his hand rubbing her back had started to calm her.

 

“Everything will be ok Rei; I am here for you ok?” Rei had stopped crying and was just staying in the position being very comfortable.

 

“I have never felt so vulnerable before.” Rei says feeling very comfortable right now in Shinji's arms.

 

“How bout we go later on and talk to Misato and see if we can't go see a doctor.” Rei lifts her head and gives him a small smile and nods her head.

 

“Thank you for being here for me.” She said to him quietly.

 

“I will always be here for you.” He tells her and smiles down at her. Her smile widens and she lowers her head back down onto his chest.

 

“I like the emotion that I am feeling right now.” She said and sighed in content.

 

“I am also feeling good right now.” He says back to her. She lifts her head back up and looks up into his eyes getting lost into them.

 

`She is so beautiful.' He thinks to himself. Something in him starts to make his face move closer to hers. She also starts to move closer and just when there lips are about to meet the kitchen door opens and like a flash they are back cleaning the dishes.

 

Michael opens the door and as he is about to enter when he sees two people pull apart really fast. He smirks as he knows what was going on in here. He looks over at them and sees the red in there faces and he wants to laugh but he contains himself and sits down at the table.

 

“Hey guys you won't believe what I just got put into.” Both Shinji and Rei turn around and wait for him to tell them.

 

“I am your new bodyguard.” He told them with a smirk.

 

“What to you mean by your our new bodyguard?” Shinji asked looking confused.

 

When he was about to tell them what Misato told them Asuka walks into the kitchen and everybody becomes silent and looks over at her. Asuka looks at everyone then over at Michael and walks over to him.

 

“Apology accepted and you will be taking me shopping.” Michael just smiled and nodded his head.

 

“I expect it to be very torturous.” Michael still held his smile and Asuka smiled a true smile.

 

Shinji and Rei just blinked at the scene they didn't know what happened. They looked at each other and just shrugged it off. After the thing with Asuka and Michael he finally explained on what he meant about being there bodyguard.

 

“Yeah I expect him to be a good bodyguard.” Misato walks out into the kitchen.

 

“You don't have to worry about me Misato I will protect them and you have my word on that.” Misato smiled and walked over to the refrigerator and was about to open it when she looked down to see the little door that led to freezer.

 

“Pen Pen…” she said quietly but everybody heard her and looked over to see her sad face.

 

“I miss him to Misato.” She looked over to Shinji and gave him a sad smile.

 

“I still wonder if Toji and Kensuke are doing ok.” Shinji looked down to the ground.

 

“I also wonder if Hikari is fine.” Michael looks over to Asuka to see her face also sad.

 

“I am guessing these must be your friends.” They all nod and he nods also.

 

“You shouldn't worry I bet you will see your friends soon.” They all look at him and shake there heads.

 

The phone started to ring and Misato walks over to answer it. As she is talking the others try listen on what she is talking about. She hangs up the phone and walks back over to them and they all look up at her.

 

“We all have to go to nerv there is a meeting being held.” Asuka and Shinji just shake there heads and walk to there rooms to get dressed.

 

“Major I require something other then a shirt to go to the meeting.” Misato looks over at her and just notices she does only have a shirt on.

 

“Well Rei I don't really have anything that would fit you but Asuka will let's go ask her.” They walk out leaving Michael alone in the kitchen.

 

After a few minutes Shinji finally walks back into the kitchen wearing his usual school uniform. He sat down with Michael and waited for the girls to be done. It was almost ten minutes when they finally got done getting ready. Misato was wearing her uniform and Asuka was wearing her favorite yellow sundress.

 

Michael looked at her for a few seconds and turned away before anyone noticed that he was looking at her. Rei was wearing one of Asuka's school uniforms, it looked a little big on her because Asuka was taller then her.

 

“Well everyone lets head out.” Misato said. Everybody walked out of the apartment and to the car was where Shinji, Rei, and Asuka sat in the back and Michael sat in the passengers' seat. Of course Misato was driving like a crazy person but it didn't bother Michael but it still bothered the other three.

 

When they finally arrived at nerv Shinji and the others fell out of the back seat breathing hard. Rei even was relived to feel land again.

 

“I can't wait for the day that your license gets taken away from you.” Asuka was telling her and all Misato did was wave it away.

 

“It wasn't that bad.” Michael said getting out and stretching his arms out and they couldn't help but just looked at him like he was crazy.

 

When they got to the conference room both the commanders were already there and were waiting for them. Everyone sat down at the table and waited for the commander Ikari to start speaking.

 

“Major have you informed our guest about out request?” Gendo ask looking at him.

 

“Yes sir and he did agree to help us out sir.” She says in her military voice.

 

“Good, I am convinced that you will protect them.” He is still looking at Michael.

 

“I will protect them from anything that brings them to harms way.” He replies back. Gendo nods his head and starts to type something on a keyboard.

 

“We have discussed things with the Japanese government and stated that we are innocent. They are discussing it right now what they will do but I believe its promising because I told them everything about seele.”

 

“What has happened to seele sir?” Misato asked reading some of the reports that were set in front of her.

 

“We don't know right now they have gone into hiding. With them still out there it is no telling what they will do to get to us and that is why major I asked you to ask Michael here to be the bodyguard of the pilots.” He set his head in his hands hiding his mouth.

 

“What is seele and why are they such a threat?” Michael asked all of them.

 

“After the meeting you will be informed about everything that has gone on here and the dealings with seele.” Fuyutsuki says to him standing right behind Gendo.

 

“The main thing is that concerns us is if they reconstuct the MP Evas.” Asuka hearing that suck in a huge breath of fresh air and everyone got silent. Michael looked at everyone confused and looks at the girl next to him.

 

He lowers his head and whispers, “Are you alright Asuka?” She looks up into his eyes seeing the concern. She feels the tears starting to sting in her eyes and for this she didn't care because she was truly terrified.

 

“I don't want to fight them again; they can't be beaten there to strong.” She starts to cry and shocks Shinji and Misato by grabbing on to Michael and throwing her head in his chest shaking hard.

 

Michael is shocked to say the least, all this time this girl has been causing trouble to everyone but now she is like a scared little girl. He wraps his arms around her and hugs her back and starts to try comforting her.

 

 

“Michael, Asuka might seem strong on the outside but she is very weak in the inside.”

 

`I see what she means now by being weak in the inside.' He thinks to himself. Looking down at the girl in his arms, seeing her so scared, makes his heart ache.

 

“What are the MP Evas?” Michael asked still holding the girl in his arms.

 

“Major will take Michael here to the security room and show him everything.” Commander Ikari stood up and left with Fuyutsuki following him. Asuka finally calms down and let's go of him but she is looking at the ground.

 

“Are you ok Asuka?” Michael asks her looking trying to see her face.

 

“Yeah…I just need a few minutes.” She tells him quietly.

 

“Michael let me take you to the security room so you can see what we are talking about.” Misato is standing behind him. He looks over at her and shakes his head.

 

“You three wait in here I will back in a few minutes.” Misato says to them and she and Michael walk out of the room.

 

“Asuka are you ok?” It was Shinji this time and he also was very concerned for her.

 

“Yes baka now leave me alone.” Asuka has her back away from him and all Shinji does is bow his head and walks over to Rei.

 

“Michael this is the security room were everything is recorded.” Misato grabs a disk from a drawer and puts it in a monitor.

 

“This button right here will start the video; I will be leaving though to be with others just come back to the conference room when you are done.” Misato turns around and leaves and heads back to the room. Michael turns around and sits in a chair then presses the button and soon everything begins.

 

Half an hour has gone by and Misato and the others were waiting patiently for Michaels return. Misato had her feet resting on the table while Asuka had her head laying on it. Rei and Shinji were still sitting next to each other talking to one another. They all turned around when they heard a door slide open.

 

Michael walks in with his head down and his hair blocking the front of his face. Misato stands up and walks over to him and looks at him concerned.

 

“Michael what's wrong?” Misato walks up to him and can here he is breathing hard. Michael looks up and stares at her with a face full of sorrow and anguish.

 

“I didn't know about anything about so much pain and destruction that was caused.” He says quietly only Misato hears it. He looks over at the Asuka, Shinji, and Rei and remembering all those battles he starts to cry.

 

“You all went through so much.” He says aloud so everyone could here it. Misato go over to him and pulls him into a hug. The other three are just staring not knowing what to do.

 

Michael backs away from Misato and walks over to the others. He walks over to Shinji and pulls him into a hug and whispers, “I will not let you down, and I will always be your friend.” Knowing what he is talking about Shinji couldn't help but start crying also and hugging back.

 

Michael then releases him and walks over to Rei and does the same thing but says, “I will never let you down Rei and I hope we can have a brother/sister relationship.” She is also shocked at what he said she knew that he meant he wouldn't her like a soldier or what Asuka would call her she wouldn't be like a puppet anymore. To have a brotherly figure around would be a great thing for her to have questions answered. Rei hugged back and started to cry a little.

 

Michael walks over to the last person…Asuka. She looks up at him and he looks down at her with tears in his eyes still. He suddenly hugs her taking her off guard and he lowers his head and whispers, “I promise you with my life that I will protect you from pain and the evil. I will not let those things ever hurt you again and I will always be here for you I promise.” Asuka was so shocked she couldn't think anymore. She slowly but surely brought her hands around to hug him back but she didn't cry.

 

After he was done hugging Asuka he turned around and looked at Misato who has just witnessed everything. He looks over to her and smiles and walks over and hugs her back.

 

“I will keep them safe and you safe from now on.” He looks up at her and smiles and she smiles brightly at him.

 

“Let's go home everyone.”
