Ale xander sat on the couch sipping tea as Asuka and Rei where both sitting in chairs staring at him.

"What kind of guy are you?" asked Asuka.

Alexander chuckled, "Asuka Langley Soryu. Second child and pilot of Evangelion Unit 02. Formerly from Germany until arriving in Japan to serve as a third member of the team. Mother deceased. The death of mother figure left Second Child with many unresolved issues. It is theorized this is the reason for her more than violent behavior: On and Off the field of battle."

"So what! You read a little bit on the internet about me. Are you one of those old man perverts or something?"

Alexander's expression did not change, "You could say young one that I am a former man of the clothe. You do know what that means."

"Of course I do."

Alexander's gaze shifted to Shinji who had been look at his coat and was about to pull out his Katana, "You know Boy, I've killed people for much less." Shinji's hand snatched back and he joined the other two pilots. Alexander smirked, "Shinji Ikari, Third Child. Pilot of Unit 01. Resided in Japan his entire life. Came to Tokyo 3 upon request of his father, Commander Gendo Ikari. Commonly much less verbose than the Second-"

"HEY!"

"-Mother deceased. Possibly Obsessive Compulsive. Has ran away from Nerv before. It is unclear if he will try it again. And it appears he likes to mess with things that are way over his head." Alexander's eyes shifted to Rei. "Rei Ayanami, First Child. Pilot of Unit 00 until recently reassigned to Unit 01-"

Misato walked in with two cans of beer. She tossed one at Alexander, "That is suppose to be classified. Now, how did someone like you find that out?"

Alexander looked at the beer, "You still drink this stuff?"

"What's wrong with it?"

"Nothing if you're already drunk." Alexander walked up to his coat and reached in He pulled out a flask and unscrewed the top before taking a gulp, "Now this stuff, it will really get you wasted."

"I didn't think Priests were suppose to drink," mumbled Asuka with her arms crossed.

"And I didn't think 14 year olds are suppose to have a college diploma Ms. Soryu."

Asuka jumped to her feet, "I'll have you know that-"

Alexander stood as well, "It does not matter what you would have me know little girl. Those men out there would have killed your two fellow pilots and then come up here and done the same to you and the major. So, I would appreciate it if you would not question my convictions."

Misato shook her head, "Still got the same temper Alex."

Alexander sat down, "I told you not to call me that Misato."

Shinji cleared his throat very quietly, "If you don't mind me asking sir, what were those men outside?"

Alexander reached into the pocket of his slack and pulled out a patch. He threw it across the room to Shinji. "Pulled it off the leader, look familiar kid?"

Shinji looked at the patch and shook his head.

Rei spoke up, "SEELE special operatives."

Asuka clenched her fists, "I'm sick of those guys. I say we go down to Nerv, get our Eva's and kick some major butt. Not that I need your help to do it."

Alexander shook his head and chuckled, "Always so quick to rush into things young one. I would have you know that Nerv could care less about yourself or any of the children. You are all very dispensable. Especially after having spoken to me."

Shinji looked at Misato, "Misato, who is this guy?"

Misato took a last gulp of her beer and looked directly at their visitor, "Alexander Ravenwood. He and your father butted heads several years back. Alexander thought that the Evangelion where a mistake and said your father was a -"

"He is a fool! He is not trying to save the world from what those tablet's predict. He is trying to speed it up."

Misato stared at him, "You never told me what those things do say. You're one of the few people that could actually translate them without the assistance of technology, so what do they say?"

Alexander bowed his head, "After the last Angel……comes a travesty that will be created by man himself."

"What is it!" yelled Misato.

"The 3rd Impact you idiot! He wants to speed up the impact."

Misato sat back as memories of the 2nd impact came back to her.

"You of all people should knows the horrors that would bring Misato. But this one, oh this one would be much worse than the 2nd. And Gendo wants to make it a reality."

Shinji sat looking off into space, "Father…why would you-"

"The selfish old bastard wants to be back with his precious Yui. Nothing else matters. If he takes the rest of the world with him, it is only a mean to an end for him."

"What do we do?" asked Misato.

Alexander stood again, "We fight it. I may not like these worthless people much more than Gendo, but no one deserves the kind of horror that Impact would bring. And last kids, I need you. I need to know where each of you stand."

They all looked at each other.

"STOP IT! You can not let anyone else make this choice but yourself. I know that those monstrosities have caused you all to grow up way too fast, and I know my way will not be easier."

"Well, I'm not going anywhere without my precious Unit 02 with me," stated Asuka.

"Your precious Unit 02 is what is making this world suffer."

"That is unreasonable. It is the presence of the Angels that causes suffering," interjected Rei.

"What a good little soldier you are," mocked Alexander. "Do you not find it interesting that the Angels always attack the Geofront?"

"They are simply trying to take out the problem at the source," stated Rei.

"No you idiot. They're looking for her. They're looking for Lilith. NERV is keeping her in Central Dogma. We attacked first Rei, they just want their own back." Rei fell silent into thought. Alexander looked at the still quiet Shinji, "And you?"

Shinji remained looking at the ground, "I just want to stop fighting."

Alexander bent down to Shinji's level. Shinji looked up. "Listen up kid, if you join my side and we get rid of NERV and SEELE, I can't promise there will be no more fighting, but I can promise you will never have to step into one of those atrocities ever again."

Just then there was a knock on the door, "Major Katsuragi, is everything okay? We found to bodies of several agents outside with the suspects. Is anyone injured?"

Alexander looked at it and reached for his coat to get his weapons. Misato stopped him and shoved him into Shinji's room. Misato looked at Shinji, "Make sure he stays there. We'll take care of everything else." Misato slammed the door behind Shinji after she shoves him in and went to take care of the NERV agents.

Alexander stared at the young boy in front of him, "You're scared aren't you?"

Shinji nodded.

"Listen, kid-"

"Shinji."

Listen Shinji, I know this is a lot to dump on you. But, just think about it. Don't you find it weird that you were suddenly taken off of Unit 01? Don't you find it weird that the angels always seem to come right for NERV? All I'm asking is for your trust. I need someone with an ID card to help me get inside. Will you help me?"

Shinji slowly nodded his head.

"Good boy."
