This chapter is going to justify why I put the horror tag on this. I also took a line from Sin City. You'll see why.

This Chapter's soundtrack: Jedi Mind Tricks “Permanent Midnight Interlude” it's only 39 seconds long, but you will understand when you listen to it.

Well, let the bloodbath begin!!

The Dark Prince Emerges
Chapter 3: Man's Retribution begins
----------------------
2025 - UN prison in undisclosed location

Thirteen men stood quietly next to each other by the prison door. They were completely surrounded by guards & sniper rifles. All of them were surprised to see each other. They all thought that they were going to be executed in secret right after the tribunal. Each man figured that it was just his turn to die. Now they were standing together for the first time in a decade. Were they going to kill them all now? Why wait for so long? Slowly they saw the gate open, with a van on the outside.

At the push of the guards, the men slowly walked towards the van. Once they got inside were they told what was happening.

“Alright you bastards, The UN thinks that all of you are too old for prison, so you're been sent to your individual homes. You will never be able to leave the premises of your homes for any reason. So think of it as a nicer prison.”

With that said, the van left the prison headed to 13 unknown locations.
---------------------------
Death #1 - 2025

The man that known to the world as SEELE 12 sat in a chair of his new so-called home. This place was more of a shack than a home. He didn't like what the world had become. All SEELE wanted to do was link mankind to God; instead they were all made out to be murderers. If only they killed him in prison.

“I wish I was dead” he let out in a quiet breath, not noticing the shadow that was now right in front of him.

“Wish granted” was all the shadow let out as he stabbed the old man's stomach. All the old man could do was gasp at the sharp pain of a knife impaling his organs. The shadow simply twisted the blade to further accelerate the bleeding. As the old man felt his life fading away, he looked at the shadow. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The person looked a lot like Gendo, but younger. He laughs at himself when his last thought comes.

`So the son wishes to right the wrongs of the father'

With that the old man slumps on the chair lifelessly. The shadow then takes out a 9 mm Beretta, puts on the silencer, & shoots the body in the head for insurance. The shadow then starts cutting up the stomach, trying to grab the intestines. When he finds them he proceeds to pull them out, & wrapping them on the old man's neck. With this task done the shadow leaves a card on the table. Then leaves in the darkness of the night.

Death #2 - 2025

The man known as SEELE 11 sits on his bed. His attempts at contacting the others all went in vein. He knew the scenario could still work if all of them could talk. His thought went blank as a saw someone standing next to him. The old man was about to speak but was stopped by a sword swooping though his neck. The swordsman doesn't completely chop his head off; he makes a PEZ dispenser out of it. He then grabs a bottle of acid from his coat pocket & empties it on the exposed neck. The man then leaves a card on the bed while watching the old man's body decompose.

2025 - Police precinct in unknown location.

The two detectives, one older, the other a young man arrive to their desks. Both of them looking like a part of their humanity was ripped from them. They sit down on their chairs, trying to digest what they just saw. Unfortunately they had no time to rest. They knew the Chief would be on them like a hawk. Just as they got comfortable, the Chief steps to their desks.

“ So, how was the scene?” The Chief inquired, he was a big man dressed in a ceremonial uniform. Another man was beside him.

“Like we just came from the gates of Hell,” said the older man. He was a religious man, & what he saw shook his beliefs to the core.

“It was that bad, huh”

“See for yourself boss,” the younger man replied, showing the Chief the crime scene photos. The acts pictured in them would have made Stalin proud. “I know every man on earth had good reason to see these fuckers dead, to watch them die. But not like this.” He then turned away from the photos. “ Not like this.”

The chief picked up the photos & upon looking at the first one was glad he missed lunch. The 10 photos were gruesome to say the least. The first picture pictured a man with a hole in the head & his intestines wrapped around his neck. The second one was of a man whose head was hanging to his body by a small piece of flesh & his insides completely eaten away. The third one was of a man who was stabbed in the throat by his own forearm bones. There was one of a man hanging by 7 hooks over a pool of blood. Another picture showed a man with all his main blood veins cut horizontally.

After seeing that the Chief put the pictures down, but he counted the rest. There were 10 in all. He tried to figure out who was cruel enough to do such acts. He was also quite shocked that these killings were done all in the same day. Yet he didn't feel sorry for the victims, being who they were. He didn't like the idea of having these people in his jurisdiction, now nearly all of them were dead.

The older detective took out 10 more pieces of evidence. They looked like self-made calling cards; the drawings on the cards were odd to say the least. They were of a big purple mechanical looking beast with a horn on its head. The beast was crushing each man with its right hand according to the different cards. There was also something written on all the cards. It read like this.

Permissum is exsisto ut per suus own Sin ut sinner pereo & visio eternus censura

“Do you guys know what the hell this means, or what the hell that thing is?” asked the chief when he looked at the cards. Both detectives shook their heads.

“That would be Evangelion Unit 01.” Said the man that was right next to the Chief.

All three men suddenly looked at the man. They forgot that he was even there. He was dressed in a loose fitting suit. The detectives wanted to know how he knew that information, but just as they were about to ask the Chief stepped in.

“Oh yea, guys this is Mr. De Valera, He is a representative of the UN. He's here for obvious reasons”

Both men were shocked. De Valera looked remarkably young,, in fact he didn't look over 30. He must have a very impressive career to come by himself to handle this matter. They still had their eyes on him when he picked up one of the cards. De Valera chuckled when he read what was written on the card.

“At least our suspect is educated enough to use Latin. Not to mention a good artist.”

“Wait a minute, you mean that this is the thing that was going to kill us all?” The younger detective demanded. He was furious at De Valera for actually praising the person who did this.

“Yes, & since no photos or videos were ever released regarding the Evangelion units, the pool of suspects has drastically narrowed. Your jobs should be a lot easier now.” De Valera answered.

“So tell me, first of all, why are you actually here for, & secondly, what do you mean that our jobs are now easier?” the older detective inquired. He didn't like that the UN was here, possibly to cover up their own incompetence over the deaths. He also didn't like that De Valera was with the Chief; it meant that they would be involved in the investigation.

“Well, to answer the first question, I'm here because this is extremely important for the UN. We were the ones who released these men, so it makes it our business, therefore this will be a joint investigation. As for what I said about your job, since we never revealed what the Evangelions look like, it limits the suspect pool to people that are or were involved with Project EVA.”

“We didn't ask for theses bastards to be placed here, so why should we clean up your mistake.” The younger detective yelled as he stood up. He couldn't stand how casually De Valera was acting toward this.

“I can see why you are angry, but I'm not saying that your department clean up the UN's mess. We are also conducting an internal investigation regarding the security of these men. This was at least a partly inside job.” De Valera shouted back, If there was one thing he hated, it was people accusing him of misdeeds. That was his job.

The young detective & De Valera looked at each other. They both believed in the same values, the same laws. They just have different styles. One man is more open with his emotions when it comes to cases. The other man had to detach himself completely to do his job.

After an eerily quiet minute De Valera took the cards & put them in a briefcase he brought.

“What do you think you're doing? That's evidence!!” The older man got up from his desk & walked over to take back the cards but was stopped by the Chief.

“Listen, you heard the man. This is a joint investigation so we have to share evidence whether you like it or not.” The Chief then looked to De Valera. “What are you going to do with those cards anyway?”

“I'm taking these because I have a suspicion of who is behind this. Do me a favor though; check all records of people coming to this city recently that worked either for NERV or Project EVA. It may help considering where I'm going”

“And where is that?” the older man said

“Tokyo 3”

2025: the next day - NERV Headquarters, Tokyo 3

Misato sat at her desk, mulling over the daily routine paperwork she had to read & sign. Sometimes she hated being Sub-Commander, but she knew that she was the logical choice to be in that position. Luckily she had two young women to keep her company when she got home. Misato laughed when she realized that she went home more often now that when she was a Major. She was right about done when the phone rang.

“What is it?” She sounded annoyed, not wanting to have something to do before she went home.

“Well Ma'am, There is a man from the UN wanting to talk to you” the young secretary answered

Misato sighed, “ Let him in.” So this was the day, the day she dreaded. This was the day that she would be told that NERV was being shut down & her services were no longer needed. At first she couldn't wait for this day to come, but as the months turned to years in the search for Shinji she grew to fear her once dream day. Now she faced the prospect of never finding him. Misato wanted to cry but she kept her composure, not wanting the man from the UN to see her this way.

When Misato saw the man, se couldn't believe how young he was. Not only are they going to shut NERV down, but they also sent a man that was at least 10 years younger than her to break the news.

“Good afternoon Ms Katsuragi, My Name is Dion De Valera. I'm here to ask you a few questions if you don't mind.”

“I don't mind, go ahead Mr. De Valera” Misato sighed; she was relieved he didn't come with a discharge, but intrigued because he mentioned questioning.

“As you know the UN recently released all of the surviving members of SEELE from prison. We had them sent to an undisclosed location, but now we have a little problem. Those men seem to be dropping dead like flies.”

De Valera then took something out of the briefcase. It was the cards he got from the precinct. He laid all of them out in front of Misato's desk.

“Do you have any idea why?”

Misato tried to hold off her anger. The way he said those words made her blood boil. He was better off just outright accusing her of murder. She then looked at the cards, & the anger inside was temporarily replaced by shock. All of then had EVA unit 01 drawn on them, & something written in them. All she knew was it looked European. She also noticed that all the cards were hand made. Soon though anger filled her mind once again.

“Are you implying that I had a hand in those deaths?”

“Consider the evidence in front of you, we never released any photo or video footage on the Evangelions because of your request to protect the pilots. Yet whoever is killing them obviously worked on Project EVA, which is under your command. You have access to intelligence, so you could have easily found out where they would be placed. You also expressed dislike towards all of SEELE, which gives you a motive.”

“Every human being on earth has a motive to kill them! They wanted to kill us all!” Misato couldn't take it anymore. While she agreed that it had to be someone who worked for NERV, the way he went about in his theory was really pissing her off.

“You also have to remember a lot of people quit NERV once they found out the truth. We don't keep track of them because that was their wish. Those people have the ability to find out where they are located because of their skills. Did you ever think of that?”

Misato gave the man a menacing look. She watched as De Valera digested the words he just heard. He realized that she had a point. Most of the people that quit NERV a decade ago were computer technicians & operators. All of them were very skilled in computer hacking. But the style that the men were killed was not that of a vigilante.

“The security around SEELE was airtight. There was no way that a former NERV employee would have gotten close enough to see the old men, let alone kill them. Not to mention the way that they were killed. They died very gruesome deaths, but at the same time it was clean, professional, something your Section 2 is very famous for.”

Misato just closed her eyes, there was no way of taking his mind off her being the mastermind of the murders. She had to do something to show at least that she didn't order their deaths. It was then that she figured out a compromise.

“Well, If it helps any, I'll start an internal investigation to see if any NERV personnel were involved. If I find out that the killer is in my ranks, I'll gladly turn them over to you.”

“Alright Ms Katsuragi, but we will be keeping a closer eye on you.”

“Do what you want, you'll feel like an idiot when you realize you made a mistake. By the way can I copy these cards to help in my investigation?”

“You don't have to” De Valera took out some copies he made himself to keep while he returned the cards to the police. Now he needed to make more. He smiled as he handed the copies over to Misato. He then gathered the original cards & put them back on the suitcase.

Misato counted the copies, there were only 10. So some of them are still alive. She wanted to know who they were.

“Who are still alive?”

“The top two people of SEELE & Gendo Ikari. Now if there's no more business I'll be leaving now.” With that De Valera walked out of the office. Misato then sat down again. All thoughts of a good evening were ruined by this event. It was going to be a long night at home for her.

2025 - Belfast, Northern Ireland

A young man walks out of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church & begins to scan the streets. It looked more like a war zone than a neighborhood.

If there were ever a little bit of Hell on earth, it would have to be Belfast. The city had never gone through a complete century of peace. The latest bloodbath came when the Ulster Volunteer force broke the Good Friday treaty by bombing Catholic homes in 2016. They hoped that since the world was paying attention to the SEELE tribunal they would easily impose complete Protestant control of Northern Ireland unnoticed. Instead, all they did was awaken the dormant beast known as the Irish Republican Army. The bloody reaction of the I.R.A. could be compared to the Holocaust. It was a bombing of 20 U.V.F. recruiting centers. Nine years later nothing had changed. Protestant & British soldiers still shot & killed innocent Catholics, While the I.R.A. kept bombing & assassinating British & U.V.F. soldiers at the expense of innocent Protestant's lives.

The young man just sighed & proceeded to walk. He knew that it didn't look good for him to walk to the Protestant side of town considering where he just came out of a Catholic church. Unfortunately for him it was the only way to get to where he was going. It didn't help that two U.V.F. soldiers who were obviously drunk were walking right towards him. He could even smell them.

“Hey, where the bloody hell do you think you're going, Catholic?” asked one of the soldiers, the other one was leaning on a wall.

“None of your fucking business, drunks. Now get out of my way if you know what's good for you.”

“What did you just say? You have no merit talking to us like that, remember you're on our side Catholic.'

Maybe we should teach the little spic a lesson” The other soldier got up from the wall & stood next to his comrade. They both smiled thinking they were going to give the stranger a very good beating.

Little did they notice that the stranger had already pulled out two knives & quickly slashed their throats. Both the soldiers suddenly felt a sharp pain in their neck. When they looked at each other they noticed that their necks were cut in an X pattern. Then they looked to the stranger & noticed a knife on each hand. They were amazed that someone was that fast with weapons. Their shock was short lived as the young man took out two 45-caliber Colt handguns with silencers, put them on the part where the slashes crossed & proceeded to blow their brains out. The young man looked around to see if there were any witnesses, all while noticing where the skull fragments flew. He then took out two rosaries from his pockets & placed them over the two bodies. If anyone wondered who killed these men he gave them the clue. It was either a Catholic or a Catholic sympathizer.

The young man decided to keep walking. He doubted that anyone saw what happened, let alone care. The neighborhood would actually be worried if there were no daily violence. He got around the corner & noticed two murals. He was shocked at the contents. These people actually kept score on how many people the other side killed. He took out one of his knives & walked towards the Protestant fatalities. He then added two more notches. With that done he proceeded to the docks. He had more important business to handle.

“Now to see how Shinji doing.”
----------------------------
I updated this chapter right after I found a decent English to Latin site. This is what I wrote.

Let it be that by his own Sin that the sinner be destroyed & face eternal judgment.

As to the person who wrote the latest review I read. It's been over 4 years since I did any creative writing, so I'm going to show a LOT of rust as far as dialogue is concerned, good looking out. I know you don't mean to offend, but there is one thing that pissed me off.

I'm from La Paz, Bolivia, fool. If you don't think that kids are able to do the things I wrote go to my old neighborhood. You will see what the hell we have to do just to survive. Most kids over there get recruited by drug lords to be their soldiers & are trained to be killers. That's why I added that angle. What I write on this fanfic derives from both my cousin's ideas & my personal experiences. There I said it.

I'm also going to post two things on the forum. One at my cousin's request, the other because of some pretty interesting information I read. Chapter 4 won't take that long to post I swear.
