Disclaimer: I don't own NGE, so don't sue me
I would like to say thanks to the peeps that gave comments. I thought the beginning was good for someone who hasn't seen NGE until very recently. My cousin who thought of this however, watches it religiously. This anime should be a requirement if you're a psyche major.
Again, sorry for the wait but I'm writing two 12 page reports, one on Sinn Fein, the other on the IRA.
This Chapter's soundtrack: T.I. “What You Know” I'm from the Dirty South
Well, on with the show!

The Dark Prince Emerges
Chapter 2: Pandora's Box opens
----------------------
2025 - Palermo, Sicily
A young man steps out of the balcony of a rather large beach house. As he looks out into the sea the tourists get to have a look at him. Most people would guess that he was either a very successful man, or a lucky heir. The locals however, knew he wasn't from there. Although they didn't know where he came from, the majority agreed on one thing. This man had a remarkable resemblance to that psychopath Gendo Ikari. Little did they know that they were looking at his son, Shinji Ikari.
Shinji sat down on his patio furniture & began to reflect. It was 10 years since he left Tokyo 3 & the life on an EVA pilot behind. The decade after wasn't very stable location wise. He knew that Section 2 would be hunting him down; luckily he had help evading them. It actually surprised him that over the years their intensity faded to the point that he wondered if they had given up. It also dawned on him that this place was his home for 2 years. The only reason he picked this place to settle was the history of it. Now he wondered if this would be his final stop.
Shinji began to smile when the phone rang. `Who would call me this early?' as he got up to pick up the phone he began to look at his living room. Nearly all the possessions that were there were a result of his chosen profession.
“Hello?”
“Hey, it's been a while, you just get up?”
“Yea, how come you're calling me this early?” Shinji felt like an idiot as soon as he asked that.
“Well, to tell you that I'm coming over, I'll be there in a couple of hours.”
“Oh, alright, I'll tidy up the place, see you later.”
Shinji hanged up the phone & sighed. He was beginning to enjoy this vacation. Now someone was coming to him with more work to do. At least it was his friend, not any of the old stooges that usually came with assignments.
Two hours passed as Shinji waited for his visitor. When the doorbell rang he opened it to find Marcos dressed like he was going to Harlem with a suitcase on one hand, a briefcase on the other.
“Well, you going to stand there, or are you going to invite me in?”
“Oh yea, sorry, want some brunch?”
“Naw, I ate on the plane.”
With those greetings aside Shinji began escorting his guest inside. As Marcos looked at his surroundings he thought that Shinji had very good taste for real estate & decorating. When they got to the living room Marcos placed his suitcase on the side of a sofa while putting the briefcase on the coffee table. He noticed the look on his friend's face & figured that he was tired from his last assignment, even though it was over 2 months ago. The place was quiet for a minute so Marcos decided to break the ice.
“Do you remember when we met?”
“Yes, I remember it like it was yesterday.”

2015 - Tokyo 3
Shinji looked at the lake that was once the heart of Tokyo 3. Misato left promptly after he asked to be alone. Now he had time to reflect.
Anguish filled him as he saw all his emotional supports go away. He had to kill Kawuro, Asuka was in a comatose condition, He didn't know who, or what Rei was anymore, Misato pretty much disappeared most nights, Kaji was dead, & pretty much all of his friends from school left the city. He didn't know what to do anymore.
He was still beating himself for killing the only person that told him `I love you'. Even after Misato told him that Kawuro lost the will to live. Shinji still believed that he was the one that deserved to die.
While Shinji thought all this he didn't notice the dark figure that now right next to him. When he finally did notice he looked up. The person standing there wasn't from NERV. He looked around the same age as him. His clothes were pretty baggy, almost like an American. He had his arms crossed across his chest. Shinji was speechless., was he another pilot? Then the person began to speak.
“You're Shinji Ikari right?”
Shinji still couldn't talk, shocked that this person knew who he was.
“Shinji Ikari, third child, pilot of Evangelion Unit 01 right?”
Shinji just nodded at the question, but now had built the courage needed to speak to him.
“Who are you, another pilot?”
“No, just someone who has a proposition for you, but 1st I need to know a few things.”
Shinji simply nodded, not sure what questions were coming his way. He had no chance to prepare as the first question came?
“Did you come to NERV voluntarily, or were you forced?”
“Well, my father sent for me to come here.”
The other kid noticed the bitterness & a hint of anger when Shinji mentioned his father. This would make things easier to handle.
“Do you hate your father?”
Shinji gasped at the question., he wasn't expecting that. He looked at the person staring at him. He looked like he could wait so Shinji contemplated. He began to think of his father, how he wanted to win his affection. But as he thought harder he wondered what his father did do to earn Shinji's loyalty. He concluded that his father did nothing to earn any of his love. Every one of his father's actions was aimed to hurt him. Then he thought of Touji. How his father didn't even give a second thought of the possibility that his actions would end in Touji's death. Anger now filled Shinji's mind, body, & for the first time his soul.
“Yes, I hate that piece of shit.” The low sound of Shinji's voice produced a smirk on the other kid's face.
“Do you want to kill your father?
“Yes” Shinji's response was automatic.
Right then the other young man got on one knee, put a hand on Shinji's shoulder, looked him in the eyes, & gave his sales pitch.
“How would you like to get paid for killing him?”
By then Shinji was sold. They proceeded to pack Shinji's things. All Shinji left behind was his NERV ID & a note he wrote to Misato. Shinji was surprised at the chain of events following his departure. First finding out about SEELE, then the fact that his picture wasn't revealed in any of the papers. He was sure that NERV would look for him, but he guessed that it was decided to protect him a little. The public would have chastised Shinji by association to his father, & he knew there was nothing he could do to change that. Although he knew that the chances of killing his father were now really thin, Shinji decided that he would stick with the organization that took him out of Tokyo 3
From then on he got to know the boy who got him out of the pit. His name was Marcos; he never gave his last name. Marcos trained Shinji on his chosen profession, a contract killer. He taught the former pilot everything, human anatomy, weapons, stealth, sniping, poisons, how to destroy evidence, & money laundering. Marcos also taught Shinji a code to do his work by which Shinji liked. He would only accept jobs of people who `deserved to die', no women, and no kids.

2025
Shinji chucked a little while looking back. He knew his friend didn't come here to relive that moment, but he entertained the idea of a simple visit.
“So, did you come here to reminisce on the past, or to take me out of my vacation?”
The smirk on Marco's face was that of a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He opened the briefcase, looked at the envelopes, then to Shinji.
“Well, I made a promise to you 10 years ago, now I'm here to fulfill it.” Right then he took out 12 of the envelopes & laid them out of the coffee table. Shinji now looked very confused.
“But how can that be?”
Marcos knew this was going to happen, Shinji didn't look at the news anymore after reading about SEELE. Even then Marcos had to point the stories to him. Marcos then took out a newspaper from the briefcase.
“You should pay attention to the news Shinji. Read the headline.”
Shinji picked up the paper, & as soon as he looked at the front page his jaw dropped. It was true; he should pay attention to the news. He had to dissect each word of the headline just to make sure it wasn't a prank.
SEELE, ALONG WITH GENDO IKARI TO BE SET FREE UNDER CONDITION OF LIFETIME SURVEILLANCE
Shinji still didn't believe it. “I thought they all got life in prison”
“Yea, but look at the old men, they're to frail to live in prison. Your father is the only one young enough to be a threat. That is, if he dares to be one. Besides, all of their assets have been frozen until they die, so the threat is already eliminated. If you're wondering about the surveillance, you leave that to me. I'll be here if you need help.”
Shinji took the envelopes looking at the titles, SEELE 1 Keel Lorenz, then after they were numbered SEELE 2 through 12. That's when he noticed that that one person was missing, the main person that would receive his malice.
“Where's my father's envelope?”
“I'm saving that one for last, its only fitting that way.”
“Who is actually paying for this?”
“I don't know, all I've been told is that the client is from Japan. Along with the request that each death should be painful.”
“But at the same time discreet.”
“No”, Marcos's words shocked Shinji. “You can leave a mark with these fucks. Hell you waited ten years for this day. Why not take credit? But at the same time don't give your name away. Just make it memorable.”
Shinji pondered the last statement. He never left any mark before, but he agreed with his friend. These people were going to use him to wipe out the human race. He also agreed he waited for this moment for 10 years. An idea suddenly came to his head. A dark smile filled his face, something Marcos never saw Shinji do.
“I've got the perfect mark, a calling card if you will.”

2025 - Tokyo 2
Touji was walking nervously in his living room. He regretted the phone call he made earlier, but he couldn't take it back. He even routed the money already. Now all he was thinking about was worst-case scenarios. He knew that NERV still kept an eye on him. What if they found out what he done? What if the police raided that organization & tied him to it? An image of him being taken away in handcuffs was all that he thought about. He could see it all now. The police busting in his house like it was a drug lab. His wife & son weeping as they took him away to prison, probably never to come back.
His thought process was interrupted as Hikari looked at him with a mad look in her eyes.
“Honey, we're missing a lot of money from our account, do you know anything about it?”
Touji was now mentally sweating bullets. He forgot that Hikari had a virtual vice grip on the budget. Now he was really fucked. He had to think fast.
“It's a surprise, babe, don't worry about it.” He prayed she would take the bait.
“Ok, if you say so…” Hikari left the room, a little more confused than when she started.
Good, she bought it. It began to sink in that all he did was stall the bleeding. She would ask again later, & he knew that his answers wouldn't be good enough next time. He had too much to lose. He fought to get where he was today. Even though his influence was large, he knew it mostly because of his money. He still wanted to be accepted into high society. The old men at the club never accepted him; they still looked at him like a pauper. This would only confirm those thoughts. Touji knew he had to cover his tracks, fast, or all the hard work that he put in for him & his family would burn in a fire of controversy.

2025 - Tokyo 3
Misato, Asuka, & Rei looked over at the lake, the last spot any of them saw Shinji. All of them had a wandering look on their faces. This trip had become almost like a tradition to them. They would come to the lake, talk about Shinji, & have time to reflect. Right now they were all lost in their thoughts.
`I wonder what Shinji looks like, maybe he bulked up' Misato pondered while looking at her two `daughters'
`I wish Shinji was here, I just want him to hold me right now, never letting go' Asuka looked at her arms. They were wrapped tightly around herself. She looked at Rei to see what she was doing only to find her looking at the lake.
`I wonder if Ikari will ever come, does he hate this place? Does he hate us? Does he hate me? Will I ever be able to tell him how I feel?' A small tear fell form Rei's cheek as she considered the possibility of never seeing the man she loved again.
All of the women began to feel sad as that thought inevitably crept in their heads. They hope to hold that off but they all failed. The lake was quiet for a few minutes, the Misato decided to speak about the other subject that was on their minds.
“So, what do think of the news?” She herself almost choked to death when she found out.
“I think it's stupid, why let those old stooges walk out of prison like that? Especially the old commander, He's the main reason for this mess.” Asuka blurted out while gesturing towards the lake.
“Those old men aren't a threat anymore, not even the old commander. They have no money, they'll have no privacy, so there is nothing to worry about.” Rei calmly stated.
“So we should let them become burdens of the world?” Asuka snapped back, shocked that Rei would take this so peacefully.
“They were already burdens, but there is nothing we can do, Rei is right though, they are not a threat. They'll be dead soon enough. We just have to accept it.” Misato retorted, knowing that Asuka would listen to her. All three women got up as they saw what time it was. As they walked to Misato's car they felt an uneasiness they never felt before. It felt like an ominous sign was trying to tell them something. Rei was the first to speak.
“Do any of you feel strange, like hard times are ahead?”
The other two women nodded hesitantly, while Asuka tried to put words to what she was feeling, Misato tried to relieve them.
“It's probably nothing, come on, let's go home.”
While Misato saw that this calmed the girls down, she didn't believe it. Even though she tried, a voice in her mind kept piping in. It sounded like Kaji, the voice grew louder by the second. It told her that she was wrong about this. Dead wrong.
