RULE THE SCHOOL
Prologue
A One Piece Alternate Universe Fic by Robster80
Disclaimer: I do NOT own One Piece or any of the characters from that series used in this story. They rightfully belong to Eichiiro Oda (Creator and artist), Viz Media (Manga), Toei Animation and FUNimation (Anime). I write fanfiction for fun, not profit.
Notes: I am not going by the Viz translations in regards to certain names (example: Zoro/Zolo). Also this is going to be primarily a Luffy/Nami story. If you don't like it, then you may be excused from reading any further.
Dedication: To Megi-chan and PrincessUchiha, for their story and plot (respectfully) of “Typical? I Think Not?” on fanfiction.net. Also, this is NOT a rip of their story, I swear! If it is, then down it comes and I will never post it again.
“What's with the movers?”
Nami looked up down the street to where Vivi was pointing. Sure enough, there were two moving vans parked in front of the house next to hers on the right side, and several movers were taking boxes off their trucks and into the house. “Looks like somebody's finally moving into old Genzo's house,” was her answer.

“Wonder if whoever is moving in has any kids our age?” Robin wondered.
“Who cares, Robin? Anyway, this as far as I go with you three. See you at school tomorrow.”
“Later!”
“Later!”
Robin, Tashigi, and Vivi turn at the one corner to go on their way, leaving Nami to continue on her path. Ignoring the movers and staying out of their way, she strode up to her house and walked in; the door was unlocked as Bellemere was already home from work. “I'm home!”
“How was school and practice?” a voice called from the kitchen.
Dropping off her books and school bag by the door, Nami carried her gym bag as she made her way towards the kitchen. “School was okay, as usual; practice, the same as always. Say, who's moving in next door?”
Bellemere raised an eyebrow, pausing in the middle of setting the table. “Somebody's moving in next door?”
Nami rolled her eyes. “Yes, Bellemere. Haven't you noticed the movers moving stuff from their trucks parked right outside Genzo's old house into the building?”
“Actually… no. I got home early from work today, and all I remember is doing the housework and getting dinner ready for when you got home. Today seems like a total blur to me. So, should we go over and invite our new neighbors to dinner? I have plenty. I think.”
Nami shook her head. “Better let them finish moving in. Maybe tomorrow or on Saturday we'll greet them. How soon will dinner be ready?”
“Give it another ten minutes.”

“Then I'm going up to my room to change and unwind.” With that said, Nami exited the kitchen.
But which room is that? Bellemere mused silently. After finishing with the table, she goes over to the living room window to see the movers at work next door. “New neighbors, huh? Wonder if they have a boy Nami's age?”
“I HEARD THAT!”
“GOOD!” Bellemere sang back, smirking. Any guys would be better than that Sanji punk you and your friends pal around with at school…

Luffy dusted his hands as he surveyed his new bedroom; it was complete. His clothes and other items were put away in his dresser and closet, most of his Gundam model kits were on display, his TV hooked up along with his video game systems, and his computer plugged in and net ready. While the rest of the house he and his grandfather had just moved into still needed some adjusting to suit their living style, at least his major goal was achieved. Now all he had to worry about was starting at the new school tomorrow.
Plopping down into his desk chair, Luffy signed on to the internet and opened his email account. While scarfing the last of the pizza his grandfather had gotten for their supper, his eyes spied a message in his email that made him smile; it was from his friend Zoro, who already lived in the town.
“Hey, he got my email about us moving here today. Cool!”
He clicked the link, opening the message. It took a while as it had some pictures included.
“Eh? What's this? Pictures included?”
After expanding the window, Luffy began reading his friend's email:
Luffy,
How was the move? Everything go okay for you and your gramps? Hey, make sure you give me a call so I can get your number. Mine is still 767-9990.
I really hope you get this email before you start your first day at school tomorrow. There are a few things you really should know that I couldn't tell you over the phone or IM. It concerns the following people I'm mentioning and have included pictures of for your safety. Believe me, you'll want to stay the hell away from these folks; they're called the Royalty - the Three Kings and Four Queens. To put it simply, they rule the school in brains, style, and moves. They make up half of the two powers of Eichiiro Oda High; the other half being the faculty.
These are the Three Kings:
Ichida Sanji - He's the head of the Kings, the smartest guy in school, the best cook, and captain of the football/soccer team (I forget which you call the sport these days). He has a VERY mean kick. Most of the girls in school fawn over him, but he's got the host for one of the Queens, which I'll explain later. Luffy, he is one guy you do not want to get on bad terms with. I fight him only when necessary, and while you're a tough egg yourself, just leave him be and hopefully he'll leave you alone.
Axer Helmeppo - The second smartest guy in school, but he's got serious ego and likes to play joke son people for no reason. He thinks he's so hot because his dad is some big shot business executive or something. Sanji and him are best friends and co-captains on the team.
Irono Fullbody - Last but not the least, he's the best goalie in school as his hands can be verrrry rough when need be. Also a co-captain, and he's got the hots for one or two of the Queens. He's the fourth smartest guy in school (I'm third, FYI).
And now for the Four Queens:
Hayabusa Nami - she is THE Queen of the Queens; the smartest girl in the whole town and also the captain of the cheerleaders. Sanji's got it bad for her, but she only toys with him as it seems she's not looking for any guy right now. She may appear nice at first, but once you're wrapped around her finger, you'll regret you ever met her. Not to mention once Sanji finds out she's showing interest, he'll clobber you. Her biggest loves are money and mikans, and she's a good singer, too. But do yourself a big favor - avoid her like she's the Black Plague!
Nico Robin - Also a cheerleader, this one's the second smartest girl in school. As Nami is good at singing, Robin is as good a dancer. Unlike the rest of the Queens, she seems ot be the nicest of them, which really isn't saying much. She and I seem to be at odds more than I am with the others, so be careful you don't get caught in the middle.
Nefertiri Vivi - Another cheerleader, she's a rich brat of a millionaire or something. She's close with Nami and Robin, and supposedly is on good terms with Helmeppo. Just keep away form her, too.
Tenchi Tashigi - The last of the Queens/cheerleaders. She and Vivi tie for third smartest girl in school, and she's nuts about Fullbody, who likes her back. Of all the Queens, she is the WORST!
I know I don't need to say it over and over again, Luffy, but please! PLEASE! Stay the hell away from these people! I dunno what kind of jerks you had to put up with back at Mocktown High, but they aren't half as bad as the Royalty. Anyway, I'll see you at school tomorrow.
-Zoro
PS: Me and the guys will wait for you at the main entrance. Try to get there early enough, okay? And call me!
“That's a lot of info, even for Zoro,” Luffy mused aloud. He went over the descriptions/warnings again, carefully examining the photos of each of the Royalty, especially the girls. The one who caught his eye overall was Nami.
“She's pretty. Too bad she's a cheerleader, though. That's an automatic strike in my book.”
Picking up his cellphone, Luffy dialed the number given to him in the email. The other end rang twice before he heard a familiar voice. “That you, Luffy?”

“Gee, how'd you guess?” Luffy retorted with a grin he wished Zoro could see. “Hiya, Zoro.” He heard Zoro breathe a sigh of relief.
“Damn, am I glad you got my email! How'd the move go?”
“Without a hitch. We got most of our things unpacked already, especially my stuff for my room. Thanks for the warning about the Royalty, by the way. I'm going to print it off and hide it in my notebook for safekeeping.”
“Just promise me you'll keep your distance from them, Luffy; especially Hayabusa Nami and Ichida Sanji. I love you like a brother and would really hate to see you get hurt because of them.”
“No worries,” Luffy assured his friend. “You know how I feel about cheerleaders anyway. So, is this Sanji really tough?”
“Are you kidding? He and I had a brawl once and we ended up in a draw, although he claims that he went down last so he was the winner. Look, Luffy… I know you can handle yourself in a fight-.”

“Zoro… if they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone. However…” Luffy grinned again, this time almost deviously.
“Even kings, and queens, can fall.”
A moan was heard before Zoro spoke again. “WHY did I know you were going to say that? Look, the guys and I will meet you at the main entrance tomorrow before school starts to help you get settled in. Classes begin at 8:45, sharp; how about meeting us around 8:15?”
Luffy quickly grabbed a pencil and paper, scribbling down the times. “No problem! I'll be there. Anything else I need to know?”
“Hmmmmm… nope, I think that's it. Thanks for calling, Luffy-. Oh wait! What's your number?”
“It's 797-1980, but the phone won't be hooked up for a few days, so just call my cell. Need that number?”
“Nope, I'll add it in after you hang up; it's a new feature eon my phone. Okay, see you tomorrow, bright and early!”
“Nope, I'll add it in after you hang up; it's a new feature eon my phone. Okay, see you tomorrow, bright and early!”
Luffy said his goodbyes and hung up before he put his cell back into its charger for the night. He took the printed email pages and slipped them into the one pocket of his notebook for school.
“This school year is going to be something for sure.”
End of Prologue
Ending notes: I know some of you may be asking “Where are Ace and Nojiko?” Well, given that they're older than their respective siblings, they're in college by this time. Will they show up in the story? MAYBE.
Now, in Megi-chan's story, Zoro was the bad guy… and I just couldn't see it. Not to mention he and Nami are supposed to be an “item.” Ugh! That's basically what drove me to rethink the whole “One Piece High School” idea and replace Zoro with Sanji as the bad guy. Also, Luffy in this story will not be the same as he is in the other one. For one, he's no wimp. You will see as the story progresses (I hope).
Oh yes! Any Sanji fans out there? You might wanna avoid what comes next. Yeah, I am Anti-Sanji; blame it on his smoking, I guess.
Please read and review!
