Behind this haunting smile of mine,
Behind this quiet eyes,
Behind this apathetic act,
Is something that i hide,

I smile at your snide comments,
and smile when i get hurt,
I keep my fake expression,
as i get on in this world,

No one knows how i am feeling, no one really cares,
so i continue to give them,
this quiet expression,
And spare a few stray stares,

These thoughts that are locked,
in this cold facade,
are something no one sees,
they will always be something i hide,

For showing them, would mean,
I would be showing,
me.
