A Taste of Divinity
With the Love of a Fallen…
When an Angel falls down to Earth
Its wings become dark and cold
They descend, a sacrament, from Heaven and their wings turn black
Like a young lover's heart, forlorn and shattered
Like a pure fairy's, torn and tattered (In the Dark)
Billowing in arid winds are the strips and sheds of once lovely wings
And within fall apart the decadent shards of a fractured heart
Induced by tainted love, despondent and pitch dark
This horrid love which should have never had a start…
Holy flames, now smothered ashes, drowned by tears and blood, gives way
To a crimson twilight---A blood velvet lines the ethereal horizon
To show that when the blazing sun sets it's the end of a sorrowful day
And the beginning of a night of death and despair, despair for all who love
Love is a hope, a forlorn hope, possessing an infinite number of forms
Fallen Angels and precious fairies with ravaged wings and the broken-hearted know
That Love's small world saves room for no one and nothing is ever as it seems in the world
Surreal and Infernal---Divine and Demonic
When a fairy's wings are torn, the angel's feather's burnt to ash, and a lover's young heart broken, the world stops all time, a chronophobia, frozen in despair---if but only for a moment , so rotted souls can see their reflection, the veins of sorrow, flowing with lament that rapes their once pure hearts and drinks the tears of anguish falling from their eyes
Light a fire in the night
To reveal the demons that hide
Within ourselves, inside your mind
To draw our souls away from the light
Tears and Blood then douse the flames
Only to repeat this dread again…
