Artificial
The smile I thought I saw
The twinkle in your eye
And as a heavy sigh I draw
I have to wonder why
Fake
The stiff position of your arms
In the lightest of embraces
Your inexplicable charms
the gentlest of faces
False
An antidote to stem the pain
Of a heart often broken
A struggle I fight in vain
For this must remain unspoken
Untrue
Too long alone to see
This is no substitute
For the warmth I need
In my mind it's absolute
Hollow
Save me from myself
And this plastic curse
Return it to it's shelf
before this plague gets worse
