Shorty—my boy!

my friend

could'vebeen my boyfriend

back in the day

I miss you, I love you,

I wish things were the same

when I used to call your most

lovely name—so sweetly, so tender

with your gentle touch, soft embrace, I'd surrender!

And, today, I am in a thin mist, a fog, lost between

reminiscing, hope, and regret

You were the “Perfect Man” at that time—oh, if onlyI could forget,

well, could've forgottenthe hurt feelings I had gotten

From that low-class clown

on the other side of town

I guess he was a part-time love, he didn't LOVE me!

Yet, a first-time love was all I could see

But, with you, my prejudgments are shaken and I've been awakened

with a feeling anew—a feeling I wasn't used to;

a love that was TRUE

I'm sorry for all the times I hurt, upset and neglected you.

If my wish would come true, you'd be my boo

And say you love me, once again, too
