Danny stood in the airport with Gabby. Gabby held her hands as the people loaded her things in the jet. Danny offered her a soft smile, but it did little to hide her pain. Gabby pulled her into a hug and held her tightly. "Please...call me everyday. And please take your vitamins. And take the limo to and from school. Never talk to strangers and don't eat anything that you don't know what it is, ok? I'll be back before you know it."

Her father had went through a lot of trouble to pull some strings to get the police to let Gabby come home. Of course, she was going to be watched and she was only allowed to be gone for more three months. Danny was suppose to stay behind and act for the both of them should they be called in for questioning about the case with the missing boys.

She was tapped on the shoulder and nodded to the pilot. Slowly she pulled back from Danny. Danny started to cry and Gabby's eyes began to water. They kissed each others' cheeks and Gabby walked to the jet. Danny covered her face with her hands as she stood in the middle of the airport crying all alone.

"Apple?" Ryan stood behind her with a half eaten apple in his hand. When she looked at him with question, he nodded toward the jet. "Word around school was that someone had scared away the big bad witch."

Danny looked down. Slowly she looked back up as the jet took off. "Gabby..." she whispered. What was she going to do now? She was all alone.

Ryan sighed and placed an arm on her, letting her lean into his chest. "How long will she be gone?"

"Three...months..." she whispered in his chest. "Why...are you here?"

He smirked at that. "Isn't that obvious? The one person you care about more than life itself just left you. I came to make sure you were okay."

She pulled from him. Slowly she walked to her limo. "I'm fine."

"Bullshit," he said bluntly as he strolled beside her munching on his apple.

She got in her limo as the driver closed the door. She didn't have time for Ryan. Honestly, she didn't want him around. She would only end up crying more. Danny curled up in the back seat and glanced at her phone, waiting for Gabby to call when she landed.

"Well so much for banging the emotionally traumatized sister," he sighed. Tossing his apple core towards a homeless beggar he got in his car and watched as her limo took off. There was always tomorrow.

Danny woke up in the morning with the maids holding up her school clothes. Gabby left strict instructions for Danny to be pampered and taken well care of. Danny dressed and sat down as her hair was curled sweetly then her little school hat put on. The limo waited for her outside as she ate a very small breakfast. She walked sluggishly to it and then sat quietly as it took her to school. The driver opened her door and helped her out. She took one looked at everyone before starting to class. She didn't stand in the hallways like she normally did with Gabby. Instead, she walked into class and laid her head down, waiting for the bell to ring.

Ryan poked her head, leaning down to stare at her. "Cookie?"

She sighed. "Gabby said not to talk to you. Please leave me alone."

"If you don't talk to me I'm going to start stripping," he warned. "And also if you don't talk to me you're going to be very bored." His hands went to his shirt and started undoing buttons when she didn't reply.

She closed her eyes. "Go away."

"You don't mean that," he whispered. "Face it. You need a friend." She sighed again. Slowly, she pulled her hat more over her head. He reached out and took her hat off. Cupping her cheeks he lifted her head up so that she could look at him. "Tell me to leave and I'll leave, but I want you to tell me that because you want me to leave not because your sister wants me to."

She took her hat from him. "Leave."

"No, because that's your sister speaking again."

The bell rang and she ignored him as she pulled out her book. He sighed and plopped down into Gabby's seat. He wasn't going to let this go so easily. She was torn up inside and it wasn't going to get any better. She sat at lunch with him and picked at her food even though he talked none stop. At gym, she dressed in her bathing suit and wrapped a towel around her. Without Gabby, her confidence was down the drain. She sat on the edge of the pool with her legs in the water and the towel tightly around her.

Ryan moved and sat beside her. "Don't care what other people say. You're beautiful."

"I've heard you say that to every girl you look at," she said as she looked at her reflection in the water.

"That's not true. The girls I talk to already know how pretty they are. You couldn't convince them otherwise." He smiled as his hand pressed against her stomach. "This...this is beautiful and you are. Don't hide it."

She smacked his hand away. "Just stop it. I don't want to play your games anymore. I don't know what's the truth or what's not when it comes out of your mouth. Gabby was right. You are a player."

"Yes, I am. Have I ever lied to you? No. I like you, you're a good person, and I want to be your friend."

"That's just it...I don't know if you are my friend and I don't know if you have lied to me before. But I know the kiss was a lie. And that's enough for me to know. So just go away. Leave me alone. I don't want to talk to you anymore," she whispered and slashed away her reflection.

"The kiss wasn't a lie. We both enjoyed that moment. I wasn't aware it was your first kiss, and I apologize for that."

"I don't accept your apology."

He nodded slowly. "Okay... I tried, Danny. I want to be your friend. I really do. In case you can't tell I don't get attached to people, but I did to you."

"I don't care. Go tell one of your girlfriends that," she said as her eyes narrowed. She felt like she sounded like Gabby. Was that something Gabby would say? She hoped so.

He wanted to tell her that he didn't have girlfriends. Girlfriends meant some level of commitment. He had sex buddies. That wasn't what she needed to hear though. Closing his eyes, he nodded. "Okay," he said, slowly sliding into the pool to give her space.

She could feel the teacher’s eyes burning in the back of her head. She knew she had to get in the water eventually, but she wasn't getting in until she was forced to. The towel tightened on her. She closed her eyes. How was Gabby? Did Gabby miss her? Did Gabby want to be with her? Ryan watched her as he floated around the pool. One of the teachers tapped her on the shoulder and pointed to the water. The girls looked up and smirked, everyone was waiting for the towel to fall.

"Please, can't I just...stay out today?"

"No. Everyone has to swim," the teacher said.

Ryan swam to the edge and tugged gently on her toe. "Go to a movie this weekend and no swimming, I promise."

She bit her lip. "Not with you," she said and pulled the towel off.

He sighed as the towel was pulled off and the kids started to snicker again at the sight. Ryan pushed back from the wall and shook his head. Slowly she eased in the water. Her eyes began to water, but she refused to cry. She splashed her face with the water to make it look like she wasn't crying. Slowly, she sank under the water and sat on the bottom. Ryan held his breath and dove beneath the water. He floated down to where she was and stared at her in the water. He offered her a smile and reached out to rub her stomach. He didn't care what the others thought, she was cute to him. She looked at him then down at his hand. Kicking from the ground, she moved to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He smiled and wrapped his arms around her as they slowly floated up to the top. When their heads broke from the water, he pulled her close and nuzzled her neck. "You okay?"

"No," she said in his neck. "I'm not."

He nodded. "Let's skip class," he whispered.

She hesitated. She didn't want to let him go. Hugging his neck tighter she nodded. "Ok..."

Ryan looked at the teacher. "She's not feeling well so I'm going to take her to the nurse."

He sighed and nodded. "Okay just be quick about it."

He nodded. Pulling her toward the steps, he wrapped his arm beneath her legs, scooping her into his chest as he carried her toward the girl's locker room so she could get dressed. She blushed as she was hugged to his chest. When he set her down, she quickly grabbed her things and ran to the back to change and clean up.

He sighed as he sat down on one of the benches, running his fingers over the girl's lingerie. "Man, why didn't I come in here while they were changing?"

Danny brushed out her hair and dried it then put her hat on. She walked out and met him while putting her bag on her shoulder. She looked at him as he picked through the girls' clothes. She sighed. She never wore anything fancy like that, not that she would look good in it anyway. Why was she friends with someone she liked? It only caused a lot of heart ache.

He smiled as he saw her. "Now, I'm going to go change and shower. No peeking. Well, maybe, but if you do it's going to cost you," he smirked.

She sat down. "I'll wait."

He nodded. Standing, he reached out and caressed her cheek. He didn't say a word, he just smiled and took her hand, pulling her toward the guy's locker room. Grabbing his clothes, he went to the shower.

She stood uncomfortably in the boys’ locker room. "I...think I'll wait outside," she called to him.

He stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. "Why? I'm the only one here."

Blushing, she quickly turned her back to him. "I'll wait outside!" she said and rushed to the door.

He smirked and shook his head. Letting the towel drop to his waist, he ran it through his hair and started getting dressed. A few minutes later he walked out behind her and slipped a hand around her waist. "You're sick remember? So lean against me."

"Um...right..." she whispered with a blush. Moving softly, she leaned against him as she looked up at him.

He looked down at her, giving her an impish grin before slipping a hand down her thigh. It was an innocent stroke as he slid his hand down her leg before quickly scooping her into his arms. "Close your eyes and snuggle into my arm. You're a terrible liar."

Her cheeks felt hot but nodding against him, she buried her face in his chest and clung to his shirt.

He smiled, his hand high on her thigh as he walked through the halls. Anyone who looked up with question just got a small shrug and a worried look. He walked calmly past teachers and even the Dean who stopped to ask him what he was doing.

"She's not feeling well. I'm taking her to the nurse."

He nodded and soon he was walking outside to his car. Even though she could walk now without suspicion, he still didn't let her go.

She shifted in his arms. "I...can walk now."

"Why? I'm rather enjoying this."

She pulled at her skirt. "I'm not."

He smirked as he massaged her thigh. "Your skin is very soft."

She grabbed his hand. "Stop. I'm not one of those girls."

"I know you aren't. I just enjoy the feeling of your skin. It's very...touchable," he admitted.

"Put me down this instant!"

He sighed and let her slip out of his arms, his hands going to her waist to keep her from falling over. "Better?"

She pulled from him. "Yes."

He nodded and pointed to his car. "Since you've already started your bad girl streak, do you want to swing by for drinks at the bookstore?"

She looked back at the school. There was still time to go back. But then she looked at Ryan. It wasn't much of a choice. She knew what she wanted. Holding her bag closely, she walked to his car and got in.

He slid into his seat beside her. Reaching over, he took her hand and held it. "If you go home you're going to be alone. Today is my treat. Anything you want to do we can. The sky is the limit. Literally. I don't have a jet so we're going to have to stay in the city."

She pulled her hand from his. "The coffee shop is fine..."

He looked down at his hand and sighed. "Okay. Coffee shop it is." He'd play it nice for now. Within a few minutes they were standing in the coffee shop and got two drinks. Handing on to her, he smiled as he nodded for some seats. "I'll get you out of swimming class if you want."

"It's alright...eventually I'll grow out of the bathing suits and they will have no choice but to put me in something else," she said as she played with her frozen caramel drink.

He nodded. "Even when you balloon out, I still think you're going to look pretty." When she looked at him he nodded. "I'm not lying regardless of what you think. You're very pretty."

She blushed and looked away. Sure. How many girls had heard that from him? How many slept with him because of it? Why wasn't she one of them? Even though she was shy and nervous...she could be like them. Even if he didn't like her that way...he would still sleep with her. And that was better than nothing at all, wasn't it? To be one of the many girls that have been in his arms and felt his touch?

He smiled as she blushed. "I think that's what I like about you," he said to himself as he sipped on his drink.

She looked back at him. "What?"

He smiled at her. His hand reached out and he brushed her blushing cheeks with the back of his hand. "The fact that you blush at simple comments. You're not like the other girls. I like that you don't think you know everything and that you don't think you deserve the world."

She looked at her drink. She turned redder. "I...want to be one of those girls..." she whispered. "To be...with you like that."

He cupped her chin and made her look at him. "You want to have sex with me?"

She felt the heat from her cheeks mover to her chest. She was sure that she had never been so red. "Y-yes..."

His lips curved slightly. Pulling her face in close to his, he leaned forward. His lips brushed against her's before moving up and kissing her forehead. "Maybe one day," he whispered against her forehead. "But I'm not heartless enough to be with you and then let you go."

Her grip tightened on her skirt. "Is...it because I'm pregnant...or my breasts are too small? Or...because I'm...shy? I won't be shy...we can do it anywhere you want to..."

"No. It's because to the other girls, it's just sex. That's all there is to it. With you...even if you say that you would let it just be that, it would be so much more."

She looked down. Her body shook and her bottom lip started to quiver. She wasn't good enough. That was it. She would only be his friend. She would never be more. It wasn't fair. Slowly, she nodded.

He didn't intend to do it, but he couldn't stop himself. His lips found hers again, and he massaged them with a tender care. It was almost sweet...for Ryan. His hand held her face as he deepened the kiss, his tongue flicking over her lips and begging for entrance. Her eyes went wide. She didn't understand. She didn't understand anything. How could he not want her, but kiss her? How could he deny her, but kiss her? And how could she sit there and not be so completely engulfed in him? Her eyes closed and her lips parted. His tongue slipped into her mouth, he slowly let his tongue trail over her lips, flicking across the roof of her mouth before teasing her tongue. He smiled into the kiss, his hand reaching down and pulling her chair over so that she was closer to him. She leaned into him more, trying hard to keep up with him but not really knowing what to do. She moved her hand to his chest and fisted his shirt. The water in her eyes finally overflowed and tears slipped down her cheeks. His hand slid over her body. He fisted the bottom of her shirt slowly slipping his hand beneath her shirt. Rather than going for her breasts, he let his hand simply rest on her stomach, rubbing the small bump while kissing her lips, jaw line, and neck.

What did this mean? Was this a yes, that he would let her sleep with him? Was it more? Or was it just another stupid kiss from a silly girl to him? How could someone kiss like this and it mean nothing? How many girls did he share such beautiful kisses with?

Slowly he pulled away from her, his eyes meeting hers. Why did he do that? He'd just said that nothing was going on and then he just kissed her like that? He really was a monster. He shifted in his seat, suddenly his pants were uncomfortable.

Soft pants left her lips and she slowly sat back in her chair. "Just...a kiss?" she asked softly. She needed to know before she started considering her heart stupid.

He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I...don't...know," he admitted.

She looked down, wiping her eyes and fixing her shirt. "I want to go home."

He nodded. That was probably for the best. Reaching out, he caressed her cheek. "Why...are you crying?"

She pulled from him. Grabbing her bag, she stood. "I'm calling for my limo. I'll see you as school."

"No. Let me take you home," he said as he stood. "Please?"

She shifted. "Alright."

Going out to his car, he opened the door for her and let her get in. As soon as he crawled in, he took a deep breath and looked over at her. "I'm sorry about that," he told her. "I know that I must have just confused the hell out of you...." In truth he was confused as well.

"Just please, take me home," she begged.

He nodded and started the car. "I do like you Danny," he said before putting the car in drive and starting toward her house.

She said nothing. He pulled up to her house and she got out. Not saying a word to him she shut the door and walked inside her home. After closing the door, her cell rang. "Gabby," she whimpered as she put it to her ear. "I'm...so glad you called," she whispered as she cried.

Ryan grabbed his cell phone and pressed speed dial. "Hey...Felicia? No. I just need to clear my mind. Wanna meet up in thirty? Okay. See you then."

The next morning, Danny was late for the first time in her life. She walked into class handing the teacher a late note then took her seat. Slowly she pulled out her textbook and began working. Ryan kept his eyes on her when she walked in. He didn't think that she was coming, so he was relatively surprised when she did finally show. She looked awful, and he knew that it was because of him. The first bell rang and Danny walked out. She didn't stop to talk to Ryan. Keeping her eyes straight ahead, she started to her next class.

"Hey! Wait up," he called as he hurried up beside her. "Is...everything okay?"

"I'm fine...I'm just having one of those days. Being pregnant isn't easy," she said as she shifted her bag and started up the stairs.

"Remember when I said you were a terrible liar?" He moved in front of her and stopped her. Looking at her next class, he nodded to an empty classroom. "Let's talk. It will just be for a few minutes. You probably won't even be late for class."

She sighed. "Three minutes," she whispered and walked to the empty class.

Closing the door, he moved and sat on the teacher's desk. "Besides the fact that I'm awesome and my cock is God's gift to women...why do you want to have sex with me?"

"I don't anymore. Are we done? I didn't sleep well and I still got homework to finish," she said as she moved her bag to her other shoulder.

He shook his head. "No, we're not done. Just please...answer my question truthfully. I promise I won't laugh or make fun of you or whatever else you think I'm going to do."

She set her bag down then sat in a desk. This brought back too many memories... Her in an empty classroom and a man standing at the teacher’s desk...

"I just...wanted to be one of those girls...because they are so lucky...to be with you even if it's just for a moment and just for one thing..."

His face softened as he looked at her. "You think those girls are lucky to be with me?"

"Aren't they?"

He didn't know how to respond to that. Closing his eyes, he sighed. "Knowing that all I would want you for is what's between your legs...just a hole for my cock to go into...you would still let me have you. All of you?"

She hesitated. "Yes...if it meant your arms would be around me...and I could call you mine for that moment..."

He pushed off from the desk and moved toward her. "You want me to be yours?"

"Why do you keep repeating what I'm saying?"

"Because I'm shocked," he admitted. Stepping up to her, he looked into her eyes. "Okay. If you want to have sex with me, then we can."

She pushed her hair behind her ear and looked around. "N-now?" she whispered nervously. This was not how she picture it...it wasn't romantic at all.

"No, of course not," he chuckled as he cupped her face. "Later. If you really want this, then come by my dorm after school."

"Alright."

He brushed her lips with his very briefly, not trusting himself to do more. Opening the door, he let her go out first before he went to his own class.
