Chapter 3

Junseiotome had just left the lake and wandering all alone in the forest. She hadn’t been wandering for long when something put it’s hand on her shoulder. Screaming as loud as she could she whirled around to discover Aikouka holding on to his ears for dear life. Of course Junseiotome ran away again. But she is only human and so Aikouka caught up with her and tackled her to the ground. With him pinning her to the ground he began to speak.

“Alright where is she?” he asked.

“Do you really want to know?” she asked with an idea forming in her head.

“Yes” he said getting closer to her face.

“Will you leave me alone if I tell you?” she asked, her heart pounding.

“Hmm it all depends on the answer I get.” he said now inches away from her lips. Suddenly Junseiotome pushed him off and stood up brushing herself off.

“Well you’ll have to wait until nightfall” she said in a cocky tone.

“Hmph fine..” he said annoyed. Junseiotome began to walk away.

“Hey where are you going!!??” he asked running after her. She looked at him and smiled.

“Nowhere really!” she said happily. Aikouka was really beginning to wonder about this girl.

‘She’s so…odd, and just what is she hiding.’ he thought to himself. For some hours they just walked around the forest in silence. Every now and than stealing glances at the other when they weren’t looking. Finally it was sunset and the time was almost up. Junseiotome thought about running but she knew Aikouka would just turn around and catch up to her. Aikouka stopped walking and looked at her.

“Ok now where is she?”

“Be patient..” she said. They waited a few more minutes finally it became dark. Suddenly the transformation started. Aikouka watched in amazement as Junseiotome became a cat demon. As soon as she put her hair up into a ponytail he lunged at her. Of course she dodged it.

“Impossible it was trickery you can’t be the same!!” he said in total denial. Junseiotome just shook her head in disbelief.

“Put two in two together we both have the same scent you idiot obviously I am one person!” she said. Aikouka just stopped and stared at her. Than he began to sniff the air.

“Oh great..” he said. Junseiotome sniffed the air. How could she have missed the scent? Suddenly Aikouka was tackled to the ground. There was Shisuta trying to kill her older brother. Junseiotome pulled her off of Aikouka. Shisuta looked at Junseiotome and started bowing.

“I am so sorry cat demon my brother is a complete and utter jackass!!” she said apologizing. Junseiotome stared at her.

“It’s ok…I think..” she said. Aikouka stood up and snorted.

“Hmph that’s no cat demon, that’s a shape shifter.” he said. Junseiotome got a frustrated look on her face.

“I am both you dumbass!! She said yelling in his ear. Suddenly Shisuta got an understanding look on her face.

“Oh so that’s why you smell like a priestess too!!” she said finally figuring it out. Junseiotome and Aikouka did an anime fall.

“Oooh I wanna know how you do that!!! Pleeeeaaaaseee???” Shisuta asked with a puppy dog face. Junseiotome sweat dropped but agreed anyway. She told Shisuta to sit down. Unfortunately so did Aikouka.

“Wait a minute why are you here?” Junseiotome asked.

“Because I want to hear your “story” on how you shape shift.” he said.

“Shhhhh shut up!! I want to hear this!!” Shisuta said.

“Well I was born a human 17 years ago. Well actually I don’t remember anything up until I was about 5. All I know was that a little girl a long time ago brought me to the Priestess village when I was a baby. My memory from then on was lost until I turned 5.” At this moment Aikouka decided to interrupt.

“That has nothing to do with shape shifting!” he pointed. Shisuta hit him in the back of the head.

“If you shut up maybe she’ll get that far!!!” she yelled.

“As I was saying when I turned 5 that night I began to TRANSFORM! I became a full blooded cat demon. Fortunately only the Head Priestess was there. She too became shocked at this. I began to cry thinking I could never become a priestess. However the next morning I transformed back into a human. The Head Priestess was so puzzled she set out across the land to discover if there was any clues to my transformation.”

“Whoa whoa whoa so your…both?” Aikouka said also just realizing that. Shisuta pulled on his ear.

“YOU JUST REALIZED THAT!!?” she screamed.

“SHUT UP GOD IT’S EASY TO TELL YOU ARE REALATED NOW BE QUIET AND LET ME FINISH THE FRICKEN STORY!!” Junseiotome yelled. Both dog demons immediately shut up and sat still.

“Now…so she was gone for many months. Finally one day she finally returned with her horse, and had a somber look on her face. She told me that not too long after I was born that some evil person got a hold of me and for some odd reason told me that I should forever be cursed to be a demon. I would able to break the curse by the time I turned 18. Well my time is almost up and I am tired of being a demon so I am on a journey to find this person and make sure that I break that curse!” Junseiotome suddenly said with determination. And at the same time the siblings said,

“We’ll go with you!!” they said at the same time.

“Why are you going?” the asked each other.

“Because I can!” they both replied.

“That’s not a good answer!!!” they both said.

“I don’t care!” they said.

“SHUT UP!!!! WHO SAID ANY OF YOU COULD COME WITH ME!!!??” she yelled. They both looked at her and suddenly got scary looks on their faces. Junseiotome sweat dropped, and gulped.

“Alright you two can come with me…but Aikouka I am NOT going to have any intimate relationship with you!” Junseiotome said.

“….Seriously?” At this response Junseiotome and Shisuta both smacked him in the face.

“Well I can’t wait Junseiotome we are going to become fast friends!” Shisuta said happily.

“Perhaps!” Junseiotome said. The two dog demons than yawned.
“Well I am tired so I am going to sleep.” Shisuta said sleepily.

“Yeah me too..” Aikouka said laying against a tree. Junseiotome started to jump up and down.

“Aw come on I’m bored let’s do something!” She said loudly.

“How come you aren’t tired?” Shisuta asked half asleep.

“Don’t you get it? Cat’s are nocturnal. Heh if I didn’t know any better I’d say she never sleeps.” he said jokingly.

“Actually I don’t think I’ve slept in a month.” she said seriously. Both dog demons immediately shot up.

“Well I see which one of you is the smart one” she said nodding her head.

“Hey I take that offensively!” Shisuta said.

“Yeah yeah good night Shisuta, I would say good night Junseiotome but you don’t sleep so who cares.” he said and shut his eyes.

“Good night Shisuta, shut up Aikouka see you in the morning!” she said happily. There was silence for a few minutes. Just as everyone was starting to fall asleep Junseiotome spoke up.

“Hey Shisuta?” She asked.

“Whaaaaaat Junseiotome?” she asked getting mad.

“Ummm well uhh since we are traveling together and all…umm would you rather call me Otome instead of Junseiotome since it’s shorter and all?” she asked nervously.

“Oh ok Otome sure!” she said trying to fall asleep. Aikouka opened his eyes.

“Hey I want to call you Otome too it’s only fair you know.” he said.

“Oh alright Aikouka.” she said nicely. And with that the dog demons fell asleep and well Otome just sat there. Everyone’s last thoughts for the night?

‘These two…well they are not all that bad maybe cats and dogs can get along’

‘Well Otome is pretty cool…her scent…I can stand it who cares if she is part human as long as she has that scent I am staying with her.’

‘…I wonder what we will eat for breakfast tomorrow?’


Notes: Wow that is definitely my longest chapter yet ^_^ Well next one soon. I hope everyone likes it, after all it was pretty funny!!
