Chapter 4 Warnings: No warnings in this one. Pretty much just the love part of the story coming out. ENJOY!!

 

In the last chapter, Atsui was brutally gang raped but the thugs at the club. In a moment of rage Vincent broke free from his bonds and helped free Atsui however, Atsui assault sparked a moment of insanity which has revealed a part of Atsui's identity to Vincent.

 

 

Breaking Down Your Barriers

 

Vincent carried Atsui inside. "Huh....I should get you cleaned up and get you some clothes........." Vincent propped Atsui in the tub he had prepared full of warm water. He put Atsui and began to lather up Atsui, very apprehensively. "Hmm..." After he'd finished, Vincent dressed Atsui in a grey muscle shirt and a pair of black jeans. Vincent laid Atsui on the couch and went to get a drink. When he returned, he saw that Atsui's eyes were open but were still clouded. "...Hm." Vincent moved forward but as soon as he started, it was a blur. In less than an instant he stood with his gun pointing to Atsui's head and Atsui's fist just a few centimeters from his face. "Blade…" Atsui leered at the gun then quickly took his hand to twist it down. But as he came back up with the gun, another gun was at his head. "The next time you touch my gun I'll blast your sorry ass. Drop it." Vincent said seriously. "SEAN!!" Vincent yelled as Atsui seemed to snap out of it a little and dropped the gun. Vincent held Atsui close as he cried. "Hey...hey...shh...it's ok now..."

 

"Why........" Atsui pushed off a little.

 

"Why what?" Vincent looked at him confused.

 

"Why......did you look like that........?” Atsui didn't look Vincent in the face, probably from shame.

 

"...Like I cared?" Vincent surmised, taking off the mask he had on.

 

"....why?" was the only thing Atsui said. Vincent slowly turned Atsui's face so he could see him.

 

"Because...I really do care Atsui. I mean...you're the only one I'm nice to...you're the only one who doesn't turn away in fear...you're my only friend...and...well....I suppose I...I..." Vincent began to grow to a whisper. "...love you...” Atsui was now lost. The idea was just overwhelming but he laid his head on Vincent's shoulder.

 

"I'm sorry......" Atsui said before falling asleep in Vincent's arms. Vincent held Atsui and carried him to the bed, tucking him in and lying next to him. Vincent groaned a bit and checked his clock.

 

"Two am...this better be good."Vincent opened the door, Mimori and Kai covering their eyes.

 

"GOD'S SAKE VINCENT DO YOU HAVE TO SLEEP IN THE NUDE!?" Mimori asked, peeking.

 

"Shut up and what the hell do you want?" He asked bluntly Vincent moved out of the way, took up a towel and wrapped it around his lower torso and led them to the room.

 

“Is Sean here?” Vincent nodded. "Something happened to him didn't it.....?” Mimori said solemnly. Vincent nodded and looked away. He explained to them what had happened and they were all in tears.

 

"....I won't let anything happen to him...” Vincent swore to them, looking at Atsui. “So how are we going to explain his absence to his mom....Study session?" Vincent asked.

 

“But he's going to have to stay here for awhile.” Mimori stated.

 

"....Uhmmmmmmm....I'm out of ideas." Vincent plopped himself back on his bed and covered himself up to his eyes.

 

"Hmmmm how about we say he's helping you out at your house?" Kai suggested.

 

Vincent shrugged and said "Yea yea sure." He turned on his side.

 

"Well, better go. Take good care of Sean please....." Mimori said just before her and Kai left the house.

 

Vincent closed his eyes, whispering "I swear it...."

 

---Several hours later----

 

Vincent opened one eye and looked at the daylight. "I hate you..." he said to the sun, sitting up, his figure showing clear. He turned to where Atsui was laying. "Atsui......hey wake up....." Atsui stirred a bit and tried to lift himself off the bed with his arms. “Waaaake up….” Vincent whispered.

 

“Lay off asshole….” Atsui said but when Vincent looked at Atsui's face he saw he was smiling. Vincent hugged Atsui randomly.

 

"So, did you think about what I said?" Vincent asked

 

Atsui grew serious, “How can you love me…..”

“Because…..you're everything I love in a person. If I really had a reason you couldn't really call that love now could you.”

 

Atsui laughed nervously, “Heh…. Guess not…”

 

Vincent nuzzled his neck and said "Its Saturday....wanna do somethin?” Atsui looked to the side.

 

"Uh.....I don't know....."

"Hmmm....guess we should report with your parents, huh?" Atsui was a little shocked at what Vincent had just said. “What?”

“Sorry I'm just not use to people referring to parents around me….”

"Oh....sorry...” Vincent said.

 

"It's ok, both my parents are still alive but my dad is never around." Atsui sat at the edge of the bed and began to stand up only to fall back again. "Shit....." Atsui gritted his teeth. Vincent looked at him and propped him back up on the bed.

 

"Not a smart idea. Just lie down and rest, you don't have anything to attend do you?”

 

"Heh....other than the fact that I've skipped work for the past 3 days... no..." Atsui said with a sarcastic laugh.

 

"...Why?" Vincent asked.

 

"-__- well one was you, the other was Mimori, and one was my mother......" Atsui sighed.

 

Vincent nodded and said "Well, them's the breaks. That's fine; I've got enough money to support a family of 1000 now, so we're fine on money." Vincent looked to his dresser and at the money.

 

"....I really can't keep taking money from you......" Atsui looked away.

 

Vincent laughed. "Oh please, it's not EVEN a deal, tch, I make more money in a day than most make in 3 months." He grinned.

 

"Still......" Atsui was still looking away. "I don't feel comfortable with just taking your money......"

 

Vincent looked at him in the eye and smiled, "It's really fine, ok?" Atsui simply made a small attempt to smile. Vincent looked around and sighed. "Hm...what to do now...”

 

"Heh.... I should probably head home.....my mother must be worried sick." Atsui tried to stand again but to not avail.

 

"How about not. I'll tell them myself, you rest. If you get up, I'll know and I'll find you ^_^" Vincent got up and dressed himself Atsui looked at him strangely.

 

"Fine...." Vincent went over to the phone. Vincent picked up the phone and called after the third ring someone picked up. It was a woman's voice.

 

"Hello...." It was at that moment that Vincent didn't even know what Sean's last name was....actually he really didn't know anything.

 

"Uh....is this Sean's mother?"

"Yes?" the woman answered

"Hi .....My name is Vincent...I'm one of Sean's friends. Sorry if you worried about him last night. He's helping me around the house and might be here a few more days...." Vincent was actually nervous.

"Ah...yes Mimori called and told me about it... Is Sean ok?" She asked

“Uh.... yeah he's fine..." Vincent knew he was lying through his teeth and was praying she didn't catch on.

"Ok.... thank you for calling. You are very considerate."

"Uh...thank you.....bye..." Vincent finally hung up and sighed in relief.

"Good. Now. I've to go see Mimori and Kai." Vincent kneeled beside him. "I'll leave ya some cash, you can order some take out or somethin, k?" Vincent shifted up to kiss his forehead and ruffle his hair. "Bye." Vincent walked out and closed the front door behind him "Heh..... guess I'm going to have to get use to that....." Atsui lay back in the bed.

---Gentai Mall----

Vincent sat with Mimori and Kai, shades on along with his trench coat. "...So…." Vincent looked at them. "Well he's not crying, and his eyes are back to normal. He's trying to move and he's unsuccessful but he's fine otherwise. He's resting up now." Vincent looked at her and looked to Kai. "W...what?!"

"Sean has a tendency to play off anything that bothers him.... and he's major good at it. It's his way of keeping people from worrying about him..." Mimori banged her head against the seat.

 

"Isn't it unhealthy to do that?" Kai asked.

 

"Yeah.....which is why I don't like it when he does it...." Mimori continued to bang her head. Vincent looked at them then to the exit.

 

"Then let's head out ladies." He got up and threw his drink away. They returned to Vincent's house and found Atsui gone. The cash remained and next to it a note. It simply read sorry. Vincent smiled and cocked his head. "Heh. All right. I told him I'd find him, so let's do so."

 

"But where to? The hospital?..." Kai asked. Mimori raised her hand. Mimori looked at Vincent who was clearly lost.

 

"I know...let's try his cat!" Mimori thought.

 

"His....cat?" Vincent asked Mimori pointed out the way to Sean's house. They parked in the back.

 

"Ok just stay here." She snuck into the backyard. She was gone for about 15 minutes before she showed up peeking behind the fence.

 

"About ti--O.O" Vincent almost fell back into the jeep while Kai actually jumped into it.

 

"THAT IS NOT A CAT!!" Mimori was leading a tiger on a leash. Vincent looked at the tiger and tried to regain himself. "Are you scared?"

 

Vincent scoffed and said "You said CAT not BIG ASS TIGER!!" Vincent looked at Mimori. "Now what..?"

 

"Hey it's in the same family and it acts like a lil kitty cat and we're going to have him look for Sean." She began to cuddle the tiger. "Aren't you boy?"

 

"...I see...well. Any leads with that seat you're sittin in?" Vincent looked to the passenger's side where he'd had Atsui lay. Mimori lead the tiger to the seat and let him sniff it.

 

"Ok go find Se--!" the tiger was jogging pulling Mimori with it. Vincent looked and nodded to Kai as they both began to run after Mimori now. "Slow down!!!!" Mimori was yelling as she swayed on the leash. The tiger went actually went out of town and didn't slow down till it met the beach. Vincent panted a bit as did Kai.

 

"...the beach....wierd...." Vincent wiped his sweat and looked for Atsui. Kai totally collapsed and Mimori had an annoyed look. She handed to leash to Vincent.

 

"Hunt!" Suddenly the tiger was now pulling Vince down the beach.

 

"This crazy bitch is gonna kill me!" Vincent thought but soon tripped as he stopped. "Oof...." Vincent got up and saw Sean there, standing...looking at the waves in the sunset. The breeze blew Atsui's hair and the light gave him a heavenly glow. The tiger walked up to him and began to purr and rub his legs. Atsui looked down in surprise and knelt down to pet the cat. He then looked up to see Vince sitting there looking at him.

 

"Uh....." Sean pulled back a little.

 

"You left where I told you to be. More or less you're standing in pain. Any reason why I shouldn't be mad?" Vincent said calmly.

 

"Sorry.....there's just a lot on my mind......I'm fine really..." Atsui stood back up still petting the cat's head.

 

"You're friends tell me you like to act. Please be honest with me. I don't like liars."

 

"Vincent, I've been like this since I was a kid........If I knew how to act any different, I would have....but I can't."Atsui said. "It's true though....I do act as if nothing bothers me and it has worked for most of my life...." Vincent sighed and walked over to him, putting his hand on his shoulder and smiling.

 

"Atsui...you don't have to lie to me or pretend....it's me...Vincent...You can tell me ANYTHING and I swear I won't think you less of a person. Just...please trust me." He looked concerned...like he had the night of the attack.

 

"Please don't look at me like that....." Atsui turned away. "I told you I don't know any other way to act...."

"I know. I understand that. May I ask you try though?" Vincent asked again. Atsui could only remain silent. His eyes closed as he continued to face away from Vincent. Vincent neared Atsui and turned his head slowly, gently kissing him as a wave crashed on the shore Vincent looked down and nodded slightly "Yea...sorry...bad move..."

 

"..It's.....It's not you....."Atsui was still backing up. ".....I'm.....I'm sorry!" Atsui clenched his fists and began to run off. Vincent's eyes shot open and he started after him but soon Mimori caught him.

 

"Let him go....he needs a little more time alone...." the tiger ran off after Atsui.”And Tora will take care of him."

 

"Tora the Tiger....clever...." Vincent sighed and sat on the beach.

 

"God....what am I doing...." Atsui fell back onto a wall. "I .....just can't understand....." He put his head on his knees. He then felt something lick his hands and looked up to find Tora. He pet the tiger behind the ears. "I don't want him to love me........because I'm not sure if I can give that love in return...."
