Prologue: When We First Met
It was an early morning; everything seems perfect like a dream that nothing will go wrong. Until Alex taking a walk like he always did every morning, but today something else happens. He walks passes a girl who seems to be like in a rush to go somewhere, but as they pass each other they can feel something inside them burn hot. He stops and turns around as the girl did the same, their eyes met and she turns beet red for some reason. Her blue eyes distracts him for a moment, he was completely lost in her eyes.
"Who are you?" he finally asks her after a moment of staring into her deep blue eyes. "Um… my name... is Amber. I'm sorry, I must get going." Amber bows her head slightly and turns around heading off. As she bows, the necklace around her neck slides off, and drops to the ground lying there waiting for him to notices. He takes his hands out of his pockets to check for the time, only then did he saw the necklace. Slowly he bend down and pick it up, the beautiful necklace with diamonds and a black circle hanging from it. "This must be her necklace..." he murmurs to himself. “I'll just have to returns it to her then," he shrugged putting the necklace into his pocket and follows her.
When he got to the water fountain, he saw a guy hitting the girl that he was following to give her necklace back to her. The arrogant looks on that guy's face causes Alex extreme anger, so he walks over to them and hoping to be able to help the girl out. "Leave the girl alone, or something bad might happen to you." Alex says coming up to them. "That man..." Amber says through her teary eyes. "He was from before..." she cries looking down to avoid Alex seeing her like this. “It's none of your business," the other guy says trying to punches Alex, but Alex dodges aside and let the guy loses his balance. Then Alex brings his fist up and punches the guy in the guts, he then reaches out and pulls Amber up to her feet stepping in front of her.
"You have NO right to touches her! She's MY property, so let her go and you can walk away with your life!" the guy shouts at Alex like he's a mile away from the guy. "If she is your property, then she would have your last name. Miss, what is your last name?" Alex ignores the guy and turns around asking Amber instead. "Gustaf, Amber Gustaf... his name is Moto, Tsubaki Moto." Amber pauses to let the tears flow. "And... I'm... I'm nothing to him..." she continues and runs off. "Hey..." Alex looks after her. All the while Tsubaki tries a sneak attack, but Alex dodges and hit his pressure point to knock him out quick and easy.
"Now where did she go?" Alex says quietly, walking in the direction that Amber runs off in. After walking around for so long, he decided to give up and heads back to where Tsubaki is. He pulls his phone out and do speeds dial, and answering the phone is a voice gentle as a wind's breeze. "Would you mind looking up a Moto Tsubaki? Yes, we must be lucky to run into him then. Yes, let them know. Yes, I'm at Fountain Garden right now. Alright," Alex said and hangs up putting his phone away.
He sat down by the unconscious Tsubaki, dressing in blue jeans, tennis shoes, white t-shirt, and a long sleeve gray shirt over. His jet black hair showing some brown in the morning sun, hazel eyes shines, and his very lightly tanned skin tone make him looks somewhat feminine. Only moments did a car pulls up and out come a lovely young Asian lady dressed in a black business suit, heading for Alex.
"So my prince, what makes you have such fond interest in what I do so sudden?" the lady asks him as she comes closer. "It's a lucky break for you, and I have no intention on wanting to be part of what you're researching." Alex replies dryly. "You're so shy, but that's why I love you in the first place. Now, this is the Moto boy?" she turns her attention to Tsubaki. "Yes, seemingly he likes to own people," Alex nods his head. "Ah, thus it is why you help me out on this eh?" the lady gives Alex a crooked smile.
She looks so elegant, yet something about her screams danger. Her silky black hair almost down to her waist, her dark brown eyes almost looks black, and her soft pale skin makes people wonder if angels really do exist. Standing there with Alex, they look to be at the same height; because they're both Asian and seemingly Asian people always have a somewhat short stature when it comes to their height.
Soon another car pulls up, a group of men in black suit come and takes Tsubaki away, but not before bowing to the lady first. She smiles back and Alex just stood there watching them taking the boy away without saying anything to it. He knows too well that it is not his place to say anything about this research, for he do not partake in it in anyway. The lady looks extremely happy and always glances over at Alex every chance she gets; it is though she would eat him up if she could. After the men left, so does the Asian lady, bidding good-bye to her prince and heads for her gleaming sport car.
All the while Amber runs off to school and heads for the restroom to wash up the tears, the images of the stranger strangely stayed in her mind. She looks down at her hand, the hand that the stranger has taken a hold of when he helped her up and hid her behind him. A flush of warmth surges through her like lightning, suddenly she feels so calm and happy for no particular reason. So wiping her tears away, Amber heads to class and things went on quite well, and she was relief that Tsubaki didn't shows up after all.
Back to Alex, he stood there watching the lady he talked to left before he checks his watch again for the time. "Oh crap..." he murmurs running off the way he came from this morning. He made it home and shower before heading back out again, starting his bike and off he goes. "Guess I have to hold off on finding her then," he murmurs parking his bike and heads for the subtle buildings not far from him.
"You're late..." a blonde girl says to him standing outside of a classroom's door. “Sorry..." Alex smiles a nervous smile. "We need to talk tonight after dinner," the girl says. She looks a bit chubby, but her height balanced out that, dressing in clothes that nicely compliment her figure, her long blonde hair was neatly tied back, showing her fair skin and ocean blue eyes. "Can't we talk after class?" Alex scratches his head. "Earth to Alex, we both has to go to work after class is over and your class is on other side of the building. You need to go before you're late for class," she sounds irritate. "Calm down girl, calm down..." Alex says waving at her as he runs off.
When the class was over, Alex heads straight for work. He's working for a small researching firm of sort as their technician, well there are other technicians too but he's only there part-time. He don't always do the technical stuffs, most of the times he ended up working in the basement of the place helping out with the putting the books in place. It was due to the research that there are so many books that dated back in the early days of mankind, and the existing of things that we now think of as only myths or legends.
"You should take a break my prince," the same voice he heard this morning comes just outside the now open door to his small office. "That's not why you come here, is it?" Alex asks looking up from the monitor he was watching. "Oh you read my mind, but I'm sure there's nothing going on right now. So you should lie back a little," she says coming up to him until she's only an inch from him. "What? Didn't you have breakfast already?" Alex looks at her innocently. "My prince, it is lunch time now..." she giggles at his words.
"Well, it doesn't mean I'm your lunch..." he said dryly taking a switchblade out of the drawer. “You are a delicacy my prince..." she purrs lightly as her eyes light up seeing the blade. "Sure..." he snorts pulling the sleeve up on his right hand and makes a small cut. While the lady gets down on her knees and hold his hand, smiling up at him before she brings his hand to her lips and licks the blood. Alex feels light-headed as the girl begins sucking on the cut, and a little sting makes him want to pulls his hand away from her mouth.
After what seems like an eternity, but only five minutes passes did she let go of him. Licking the wound and watches it heal, she looks up and smiles at him again. "You looks pale my prince..." she says lovingly. “If you get your blood sucked on frequently enough, you'll be pale too." Alex says putting the blade away and rolls the sleeve back down. "Then you can have some of mine…” she says pulling the collar away to show her neck at him. “No thanks..." he murmurs looking away.
"You should get a car..." she takes his hand in hers and smiles. “Hey, I like my bike just fine..." he looks down at her. "It won't be good to drives home in the rain..." she replies sweetly. “So?" he narrows his eyes on her. "Should I take you home then?" she looks up at him again. "No…" he said. “Why won't you let me take you home?" she pleads. "Because I always ended up in your place somehow..." he said wryly. “That's not true... I did take you home one time…” she makes a face like she was hurt by his words. "That's because you're drunk and I don't know where you live..." he says calmly but inside he almost wanted to just yell at her.
Nothing more was said as the lady rests her head on his lap and soundly asleep, the clouds roll in and rain pour down. Alex just looks at the monitor from time-to-time as he gently strokes her hair. "Mia... you should know better not to come here like this... what would people think if they saw you coming here?" he sighs talking to the sleeping girl. Suddenly he pulls the necklace out and looks at it again, the feeling comes again he wish he had killed that Tsubaki guy. Something about that girl that caught his attention, "I shouldn't be thinking about it... it's just wrong anyway..." He shakes his head lightly trying to stay awake since the rain makes it harder not to fall asleep.
