Chapter 2

“Ayaka-San?”

“Hai Kisho-Kun?”

“Are we we ever gunna find mom and dad?”

“Sweetie if I know that we'd be home right now.”

“I really wish that we could just go home!!”

“*Sigh* Me too. Do you want some food?”

“HAI!!!!”

“Here is some yen. Go get something and meet me back here.”

“Arigato!!!!”

That was quite a while ago. Usually he just gets some food and comes back to me. But this time is different. This time, he didn't come back.

I went to look where he was headed to, to see if he was there. The store owner noticed that I looked alarmed and walked up to me.

“Maim, are you ok? Is everything alright?”

“Have you seen my little brother? Bright blue eyes, black hair with red streaks, about four feet tall.”

“Yeah I saw him just a minute ago. He was dragged out of here by a bunch of thugs. They went to the left I think.”

“Arigato!!”

Oh no what do they want with my little brother!? I turned and ran out the door. Where could they be? Maybe some alley? Ok let's look down door number one. Or alley number one, whichever makes more scene to you.

“KISHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

There he was, lying on the ground, half dead, bleeding his life away. A tall man with extremely short black hair, dressed in a black shirt, blue jeans, was beating my little brother with a splintered two by four.

He turned and stared at me. His blood red eyes cut right through my soul, paralyzing me. I was scared. I wanted to run, run like the little baby I am. But for some reason I didn't. I gathered whatever courage I had and looked around to see if there was anything I could use against him.

Only a rusty old sword lay next to me on the ground. It looked like it would break any second, or crumble into a million pieces the second I picked it up. But I took my chances and grabbed it anyways. Amazingly it stayed in one piece and didn't shatter.

I ran at him as fast as I could. As soon as I was in striking range I swung my katana with all my might. He swiftly dodged my attack.

“Ha you missed!” He hissed with his dark booming voice.

“I never miss.” I whispered.

“Wha-?”

He didn't even finish the word as blood started gushing from his neck. Fear glazed over his eyes. He turned and ran as fast as he could screaming “DON'T KILL ME!!!!!!!!” like a little girl.

“A-Ayaka.”

“Kisho!!! It'll be ok, I promise.”
