Welcome to Babylon. The secret paradise of vice. Everything you want is here. I am tasked with documenting everything that goes on here.

I have lived in Babylon for forty years. It is not an easy city to get to. You have to know what you are looking for. We're here for different reasons. Some want a good time. Some want to escape. Some have their reasons. We are all here for a reason.

You can be anyone in this city. You can have anything in the city. No questions asked. We don't judge. Some look the other way. Everyone has a reason to be here.

I am tasked to recount and record everything that goes on in this city. Sometimes, they come to me for advice. There is nowhere that it says I can't. Whether they take it or not is up to them. I just document what happens. Sometimes, it works out. Other times, it doesn't. They come to me, nevertheless. I never turn them away. Am I afraid for my life? No. Do I get questions for illegal advice? Yes.

Babylon is a city filled with beautiful people. The city itself is beautiful. But such beauty can easily hide so much malice. I have stared the ugly side of Babylon in the face many times. This city drowns in greed, lust, envy, rage, and pride. This city is addictive. We are prisoners here. The people can't see the golden bars around them. Their vices are a distraction. I myself cannot leave. Someone has to document what goes on in Babylon. However, my time is running out. I have to pass on the torch. I don't have a successor yet. I will know when the right one comes along.
