I was supposed to have Dance and Drama, Spanish and then Gym, but I had to stay in study hall again to finish my work. By the time school finished, I had finished half of the work I needed to finish. I met up with Amy and Chris outside.

 

“Where were you guys at lunch today?” “Oh we stayed in to finish the work we missed.” Chris said. We walked and talked all the way to my house. As soon as I got in through the front door, I almost went to sleep on the floor, but I just couldn't sleep knowing that I might fail!

 

(I know I'm a nerd) So I finished the last two projects, and was done all of the unfinished work. Wow I can't believe I finished it all in one day, I thought. Then fell asleep.

Where am I? I'm in a palace. It's so beautiful…In the middle of the palace is…a person? No, it isn't a person…what is it? It smiled at me and started to play its tambourine, it beckoned me with its hand. I came closer; it smiled at me again and began playing a song with its tambourine. Then I woke up.

As soon as I got up from my sleep, I got out my notepad and drew exactly what I saw in my dream. My mom always told me that if I had a dream that didn't make any sense or was strange, draw what I saw.

 

She also told me that her ancestors believed that a person or animal or anything that they saw in their dreams was like a symbol of something that was going to happen in their life.

 

When I was done I showed my mom. When I told her about my dream, she said, “Oh, the thing you saw in your dream is kind of like a symbol, they call her, The Court Dancer. When ever she is in your dreams, it means that something good is going to happen to you.” She said.

 

I smiled thinking of ideas of what that good thing could be. I got up and said “Thanks mom” and started to walk to the kitchen, when she said, “But wait there's more” “It's ok” I replied, and got ready for school.

 

 

When I got to school, Amy and Chris were sitting by the water fountain, so I walked up to them with a smile and said, “Hi!” They both said hi miserably. Before I could ask them what was wrong, the bell rung.

 

I walked up to my locker and did my combination. It worked on my first try. I felt the presence of someone beside me. So I turned around, it was Stephanie. “You have a lot of nerve embarrassing me in front of Aaron like that.” She said glaring, “Well, if you weren't being such a stuck-up idiot you wouldn't be embarrassed right?” I said bravely, right after I said it; I couldn't believe I just stood up to her.

 

Stephanie's mouth dropped open in shock, No one ever stood up to her like that before. “You…you.”- At that exact second, Jessica and Aaron came down the hall and stopped right in front of us. “I'll see you at lunch.” Stephanie said angrily. Then, Jessica ran behind Stephanie saying, “What did I miss? Why are you so angry?” While me and Aaron just stared at them. “They are so annoying.” I said breaking the silence.

 

“Yeah I know…do you want to meet me after school today?” He asked looking nervous. “Sure.” I said smiling. At that moment, the bell rung. Why does the bell ring when something actually interesting happens to me in school? I thought, I took out my books out of my locker. “Bye.” He said and walked away.

 

 

After I handed in the work I finished, I walked into class, and for the whole morning I was wondering, was my dream connected to meeting Aaron after school? Or is it something else? And what about that threat Stephanie gave me today?

 

 

It was now Lunch, They were selling brownies, I bought 5 that is all I needed for lunch anyways! I sat with Amy and Chris. We talked about school, grades, failing, and living in a cardboard box for the rest of our lives.

 

Then it was time to go inside. Today we were getting our report cards. Whenever we get our report cards, we get the after lunch part of school off. Why? I don't know. Probably some made up rule Mr. James made up this morning. As soon as everyone got their report card they were dismissed but I stayed an extra 3min to read everything. This is what it looked like.

Three B's!!! I thought, I deserve A's!! I looked at the clock; I was supposed to meet Aaron right now!! I thought, and quickly grabbed my stuff from in my locker and went outside. Aaron was sitting on a rock; I quickly made my way to him.

 

“Hi, sorry I'm late.” “It's ok…so where do you live? He asked, “ On Brimley road, where all the houses are.” What a stupid thing to say, I thought. Of coarse where the houses were, I don't live on the road!!! “Uh…ok, let's walk there.” He replied.

 

The walk was about 5- 10 min. We talked all the way up to my doorway. We stopped in front of the door. “Now what?” I said. “I don't know.” He said. Now I can tell for sure he was nervous. I felt his hand on my cheek, drawing my face nearer, and then before they knew it, they were kissing.

 

 

“Bye Aaron!” I said smiling, “Bye.” he said and walked away. Now I know what that dream meant I thought, that was the good thing that was going to happen to me. I went to bed but I didn't want to sleep…it was like one of the display pictures I read on MSN it said, Love is when you don't want to sleep, because reality is better than a dream. But…I eventually went to sleep.

Lola: Yay!! Finally!! We have some things going on in the story!! =D

 

Dana: Uh…yeah that's nice, but when am I going to appear in the story??

 

Lola: AAAHHHH!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! Quickly!! Get her out of here!!!

 

The whole Break Ups and Lies cast drags Dana out of the room.

 

Lola: Phew! That was a close one! She almost ruined the best part of the story!! I hope you like it so far!!
