A Week Later On December 25th2006

I stared at the phone in my room. I was sitting in my bedroom for a while now, I expected Aaron to call me and to wish me a Merry Christmas or something. He never even made up for that last time, and come to think of it, I've never even seen him ever since that day.

 

Could he be sick? Is he so stressed that he forgot about what day it was? That was when I got a great idea. I could run over to his house, and give him a present for Christmas!! I got to work on it right away.

 

I decided to bake chocolate cookies. It only took about 30 minutes to get everything finished. I grabbed my jacket and headed out the door. But wait, shouldn't I call Aaron and tell him I'm coming? I thought, but then I scratched out that last thought and decided that I was going to give Aaron a surprise Christmas present. I had to be back by six because that was when my mom came back from work.

 

 

I walked down to Apple Creek road. Then, to Moon Crescent. I walked down to house number 14. I took a deep breath. I was here, at Aaron's house. I walked up to the doorway and rung it. DING DONG!! Nothing.

 

I rang it again. DING DONG!!! Silence. DING DONG!! DING DONG!!! DI- SWOOSH. The door flew open. “What do you- Oh! Colleen, what are you doing here?” Aaron stuttered. “Don't you know what day it is? It's Christmas!! So here, I got you a present.” I said making my way inside. “Uh…well, you didn't have to, I was going to call.”

 

“It's okay, I wanted to…are you going to let me stand outside all day?” I asked beginning to get impatient. “Uh…No, of coarse not.” What is wrong with him?? I thought. He moved aside, and I walked in. Then, I saw her.
