Clint dropped down onto his bed. He was once again rejected by his father. Even when Clint told him about Bunny, his father stuck to the marriage contract. "Is it really worth it?" the priest thought.
For the last twenty-four years, Clint and his dad argued constantly. Eight times out of ten, Clint lost. His mother came and backed him up, but only rarely. "Am I making a mistake again?" Clint thought.
"Gave up Clint. You can't win against him!" Clint recalled his oldest brother saying. "Maybe Ryo's right." Clint thought. "I can't win." He sighed. Clint had lost count on how many times he lost. He might as well been arguing with the floor.
"Why does dad have to be so pigheaded?" Clint thought. "Doesn't he care about my happiness?" Then a depressing thought came to him. "Is it really worth fighting with dad to break off an engagement?" Clint thought. He was having an inner conflict. Should he give up and marry Viki? Should he keep fighting? Was he a fool for Bunny? What about the slave hunters? Is it really worth it all?
