Who did this to you?
Karasu looked up. A child version of Kasumi floated in front of
him. His eyes looked so dead.
"You wouldn't understand."
Tell me.
"No."
There was nothing around them. They were trapped in a void. Kasumi
floated in the nothingness. Her hair floated around her. She was
the only thing holding everything together. Karasu reached out for
her chest but drew back his hand in response to a shock.
"What the hell?!" He stared at her doe-like eyes. A flash of fire
jumped in his eyes.
"What are you?"
The child didn't speak. Kasumi wasn't sure of anything about her
herself. The only thing she knew was that she had to put an end to
all of this. A voice told her this was the way to do it. Small
voices echoed from inside of her chest. Black shadows around Karasu
started to grow and twist into each other.
You will not stop me! His shadows reached for her tiny neck.
Kasumi didn't even flinch. She kept her empty eyes on her target.
The tips of the shadowy hands started to dissolve into nothing. His
silent screams rang through her ears.
"You!" He tried to reach out to her again. Each time he did, the
shadows would be burned away.
"What... What is this? Who are you?!" Hate and rage flared in his
eyes. The girl lifted her chin. Kasumi reached up and touched him
on the cheek. She only said one thing in his mind.
Let's end this now.
A sharp pain shot through Karasu's body. He let out a heavy gasp.
Kasumi kept her eyes locked on him. Her former lover's eyes grew
wider.
"What are you doing to me?"
The child closed her eyes. Aren't you tired of this? I can see
you are in pain.
"Shut up! You don't know what you are talking about!" He tried to
pull away, but the invisible knives held him in place. He clicked
his tongue.
"Bitch!" More curses filled his head, but his mouth became sealed
shut. Kasumi was staring deep into his eyes.
Let's end this. Let's end us. She drew her eyes closed.
"No, don't!"
Kasumi opened her eyes. Before she could figure out what was going
on, she and Karasu vanished into thin air.
What... Have you done?
