Hot smoke filled Mimi's nose as she slowly began to regain conscious, something was not right. For a moment Mimi wasn't even sure her eyes were open due to the darkness of the room Mimi was kept within. It took a few moments of consciousness for her to realize the grave danger she was in, this room wasn't dark…It was on fire! Blowing the cloud of smoke away from her she could clearly see the fire that was quickly spreading throughout the small shed she was obviously trapped within. Mimi attempted to stand to try to put out the fire, however the effort was wasted when she realized her hands and feet were bound with a coarse rope that bit into her skin with every move.
Panicking was not an option, she had no time to scream or squirm uncontrollably while praying to multiple gods or angels to save her life.
If she didn't act fast this would surely be her grave. Sliding down the wall she was propped up against, she found a patch of semi-clean air and took a deep breath, calming her nerves.
Suddenly a flame cut through a rope above her, it flew down and brushed against her shoulder, sending a shot pain through her arm as it
singed her shoulder. Mimi bit her lip in pain as she focused on looking for something to cut through the ropes.
`Bingo…' She smiled as her eyes set on a sickle hanging loosely on the
wall. She moved her feet over to the base of the sickle, biting her lip as the rope cut into her legs. With one swift jerk of her legs the sickle dropped from its holder and onto the floor beside her, just in time for her to slice through the ropes binding her arms and feet before the rope from the ceiling fell entirely on the spot she had been sitting moments before, now burning rapidly into a pile of ash.
Coughing up a storm due to smoke inhalation, Mimi stumbled around the shed, now desperate to find a way out. It wasn't a surprise that the door was barricaded to ensure no escape. Thinking was getting more difficult, her mind was becoming as clou
ded as the room around her.
Finally she faintly saw a weakened wooden panel on the west side of the shed, if she threw herself at it the wood would give way, freeing her from this fiery grave. Bracing herself she darted towards the wall and slammed her body against the wood. With a splintering crack the side gave way and Mimi fell onto a dirt path in front of the shed, just in time to see it collapse into a cindering
pile of rubble.

She lost track of time as she lay on the ground, gasping slight for clean air, trying to come down from her adrenaline rush. She blinked once or twice, now realizing how queer the situation was, who has a wooden shed nowadays? Finally Mimi got the strength to sit up and saw how unfamiliar her surroundings were. She was only a few feet away from a small lake, surrounded by trees she knew weren't native to the area she was accustomed to. The dirt path she was sitting on lead to an old wooden cabin, about 30 feet away, it finally clicked in her head that that meant people, most likely the people who locked her in the shed. Her blood boiled over as she jumped up onto her feet and stalked towards the house, keeping her guard on high for any ambushers. She stormed up the back patio steps and up to the wooden door. A sign with a happy calico kitten with the words `Welcome' mocked her mercilessly. Glaring at the sign she quickly shook off feelings of fatigue as she flung open the door.
As quick as it boiled, h
er blood ran cold as she stared into the house, filled with rustic furniture and a scent of cedar in the air. However the sight of the old furnishings was not why her heart practically stopped in her chest, it was the three occupants sitting at an ovalpedestaltable.
The first occupant to look at her was a dirty blonde-haired girl with intense green eyes and an athletic build. Scoffing lightly she kicked the black haired girl across from her and pointed in Mimi's direction, then snickered and nudged the body next to her. A familiar dark haired man gazed at her, a light smirk on his face. It was the same man who watched her with the guard as Janet tried to kill her that day at the detention center.

“I'm so glad you could join us Miss Harrison. How was your sleep? I hope the room wasn't too stuffy for you.” Max said in a sickly sweet tone. Glaring at him through her fear, Mimi dared to take a step inside the house, trying not to shake as she did so.
“Why the hell do you keep trying to get me killed Max!” Mimi growled at the man, spitting his name out like it was poison to her. The door slammed behind her, causing her to jump and whip herself around, the group behind her erupted into laughter at the girl's paranoid antics. A teenage boy, about six foot three with jet black hair leaned against the door, preventing her from escaping if things turned worsethen they already were.
However, things did indeed get worse, smoke inhalation from earlier took a toll on her body, causing the room to spin in her head as fatigue took over.
