Chapter Nine

The Missing Earth Jewel

Setting: Bio is sitting in class on a Friday afternoon remembering her date with Sueichi.

 

Bio: How is it that first love are always so complicated? One minute Sueichi is prefect and I'll call him my boyfriend and then the next I'm mad as hell and I ready to kill him? Last Friday was great. He took me out to eat and we walk along the beach. We laugh together and had a lot of fun. I wonder where this will lead.

 

Sueichi: Bio are you coming or not? I know that you don't want to go to work but hiding at the school all weekend isn't a very good idea.

 

Bio: Yeah I'm coming. And while I'm thinking about have you seen Haru or Rin lately?

 

Sueichi: No, I was hoping you had.

 

Bio: Maybe they have been with Kyonichi?

 

Sueichi: All week? I seriously doubt that.

 

Bio: You don't think they have been ditching work to go on dates do you?

 

Sueichi: It's possible.

 

Bio: Well if they aren't at the park today than we're tracking them done.

 

Sueichi: Fair. (They turn a corner and Rin and Haru are sitting on a park bench)

 

Rin: Hi, guys

 

Bio: Don't “Hi guys” me I want an explanation.

 

Rin: An explanation? For what.

 

Bio: For why you two haven't been helping us look for the Earth Warrior for the last week.

Rin: How about I spend the weekend at your place and I'll explain then. In the mean time Kyonichi wants us all in his office now.

 

Bio: Okay let's go. (They appear in Kyonichi's office) We're here Kyonichi. (Bio looks over to see Kyonichi asleep in his chair) What happened to him?

 

Rin: Looks like he hasn't slept in awhile.

 

Bio: Well now's not the time for him to catch up on his beauty sleep. (Hits Kyonichi lightly on the head) Hey Kyonichi wake up. (He sleeps on and Bio hits him a little harder) Come on Kyonichi up. (He still sleeps and Bio hits him very hard and he sits straight up in his chair.)

 

Kyonichi: Huh what happen whose there?

 

Bio: Its use Kyonichi. What happened to you?

 

Kyonichi: What oh you four not now I need some sleep. Take the day off you sure could use it.

 

Bio: What!!?? Kyonichi are you feeling okay?

 

Kyonichi: I feel fine I just need a little sleep. You four just take the day off. Go now.

 

Bio: What ever you say. See you tomorrow Kyonichi.

 

Later Bio's house, the girls are watching T.V. before bed.

 

Bio: Okay Rin, pay up. Where have you and Haru been this week?

 

Rin: I was hoping you'd forget.

 

Bio: Me? Forget? Never.

 

Rin: Haru and I have been helping Kyonichi.

 

Bio: Helping him with what?

 

Rin: I case you haven't notice he about to drop dead.

 

Bio: Yeah I kind of notice that. But why's he so tired?

 

Rin: I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with the Earth Jewel.

 

Bio: The Earth Jewel?

 

Rin: Mmmh rumor is that it's been lost and Kyonichi is killing himself trying to find it.

 

Bio: Well I think it's possible he looks like he's about to drop dead. But if it was true than wouldn't he have asked us to help?

 

Rin: Maybe he thinks it better if we stay and look for the Warrior instead of the Jewel.

 

Bio: Yeah maybe. Well if it gets to far out of hand we'll interfere. But that still doesn't explain what you and Haru have been doing.

 

Rin: Okay I'll spill. Haru and I have been taking care of anything that isn't of absolute importance for Kyonichi.

 

Bio: Is that all?

 

Rin: So far he's just a really good friend.

 

Bio: But what do you want him to be?

 

Rin: I think I'm lucky in love.

 

Bio: Lucky in love!!?? You've barely known him a week!

 

Rin: I know but I like him a lot. How long did you know Sueichi before you stared to like him?

 

Bio: About five minutes. I don't like Sueichi and I only went out with him to humor his friends.

 

Rin: Of coarse you did.

 

Bio: What ever I'm going to bed we got a lot of work to tomorrow.

 

Rin: Yeah I'm going to.

 

Setting: The next day. The girls are meeting the guys in the park.

 

Rin: Morning Haru!!

 

Haru: Yes it is.

 

Rin: Real funny. Good Morning Sueichi.

 

Sueichi: Good morning Rin. Where's Bio?

 

Rin: She went to get everyone a bite to eat.

 

Sueichi: Oh is that all that girl can think about is food.

 

Bio: I think about other things but food just happens to be my favorite.

 

Rin: Thanks Bio.

 

Bio: No problem

 

Haru: Well if you're done stuffing your face Uotani than I suggest we get to work.

 

Bio: Yeah I guess so. (All of a sudden a little fox demon appears out of no where)

 

Fox: Miss Jima, Miss Jima come quick.

 

Bio: What is a demon doing here let's get him.

 

Rin: No Bio wait I know him she's Kyonichi servant.

 

Bio: Then what's she doing here.

 

Rin: Let me handle this. Kikyu what has happen?

Kikyu: Its horrible Lord Kyonichi has fallen horribly ill.

 

Rin: What's wrong with him?

Kikyu: I'm not sure he was working in his office and I went in to bring him some tea and I found him collapsed on the floor.

 

Bio: That settle it we're going to Spirit World.

 

Sueichi: But who will look for the Earth Warrior?

 

Bio: You and Haru of course. Rin and I will take care of Kyonichi.

 

Haru: Hey how come you get to call the shots Uotani?

 

Kikyu: Because the Light Warrior is the undisputed leader of the Element Warriors.

 

Haru: What ever.

 

Rin: This is no time to argue Haru. Kyonichi might be really sick. You'll do what Bio says when she says it.

 

Haru: B...b…but Rin

 

Rin: Not now Haru lets go.

 

Bio: Right Rin lets go.
