Chapter Thirteen

The Earth Jewel

Setting: The top of Spirit World Mountain. Bio and Sueichi are about to unlock the chamber in which the Earth Jewel is being held.

Bio: Okay Kyonichi were here but how do Sueichi and I combine our powers?

Kyonichi: I am no entirely sure but I think that if you both attack the door at the same time it will open.

Bio: Whatever. I summon the sacred powers of Light.

Sueichi: The powers of Darkness I call upon you.

Bio: Ready Sueichi?

Sueichi: Yeah you?

Bio: Um-hum Light Arrow!

Sueichi: Sword of Death! (Both hit the door head on but the door remains locked) Well so much for that.

Bio: Got anymore bright ideas Kyonichi?

Kyonichi: Actually yes but that's no need to get snippy.

Bio: Well you would be snippy to if you had been dragged up a mountain, attacked twice and been knocked out twice in the same day.

Kyonichi: Don't worry after this you can have the weekend off before you go looking for the Earth Warrior.

Bio: Deal but how do we get the Earth Jewel?

Kyonichi: I have an idea try putting your Jewels in the spaces beside the hand print. (Bio and Sueichi place the jewel in the spaces and still nothing)

Sueichi: Well maybe we need to put our hands beside the jewels?

Bio: But there's only one place.

Kyonichi: Bio put your hand on the print. (Bio does so) Now Sueichi put your hand over her's. (Sueichi puts his hand over Bio's and they fit perfectly and the door opens)

Rin: Cool now all we have to do is get the Earth Jewel (steps towards the entrance of the chamber)

Kyonichi: Wait right there Rin one more step and you'll be killed instantly. Bio and Sueichi have to enter together.

Bio: Okay here we go. (Still holding Sueichi's hand)

Sueichi: You okay Bio?

Bio: O-of course why wouldn't I be?

Sueichi: Because if you squeeze my hand any harder you're going to pull it off.

Bio: I can't help it. It's really creepy in here.

Sueichi: You scared?

Bio: Of course not how could you even think that? (A rock drops and Bio screams) O-o-okay maybe a little bit but only a little. (Sueichi chuckles)

Sueichi: I think I see the Earth Jewel.

Bio: Where?

Sueichi: Just up ahead where that greenish glow is.

Bio: Yeah I see it. We're almost there.

Sueichi: Hey Bio are you sure your alright?

Bio: Yeah I'm not scared.

Sueichi: That's not what I meant I was taking about your wounds.

Bio: Oh I'm alright Kikyu said that I'd be back to normal in no time.

Sueichi: It scared me a lot to see you bleeding so badly and still worried about Rin and Haru.

Bio: Hey Sueichi what did you say when I was fighting Hatchi other than run.

Sueichi (Blushing): Nothing in particular. (Sueichi not paying attention is about to step off a cliff)

Bio: Sueichi look out!!

Sueichi: Whoa thank Bio I owe you one.

Bio: You owe me a lot of ones.

Sueichi: How are we supposed to get over this?

Bio: There's a ledge over there I think we can cross.

Sueichi: Good enough for me.

The entrance of the chamber. Rin is sitting on a log looking worried, Haru is stretched out on the ground looking at Rin with a spaced out look (Hint, hint), Kyonichi is leaning up against a tree and sleeping and Kikyu is crushing herbs.

Rin: Man I worried about those two they've been in there a long time.

Haru: Mmmhmm

Rin: What if something's happened to them. They could have fallen and broken something.

Haru: Mmmhmm

Rin (stops and puts her hands on her hips): Haru I think it would look nice if you dyed your hair pink and I do mine a florescent green. What do you think?

Haru: Mmmhmm (Kyonichi and Kikyu bust out laughing) What happened?

Rin (Dead mad): You haven't listened to a word I have said.

Haru: Sure I have.

Rin: Okay what was I talking about?

Haru: You were talking about um the, the herbs Kikyu is crushing.

Rin: You're such a jerk Haru. (Rin runs of into the woods)

Haru: Rin wait. (Runs after her)

Kikyu: Should we help him out?

Kyonichi: A third party should never interfere in a lover's quarrel.

Kikyu: Since when do you keep your nose out of other peoples business?

Kyonichi: Kikyu!! What do you mean? When have I ever interfered with others lives?

Kikyu: You know perfectly well what I mean. You and I both know that the Light and Darkness Warriors aren't the only ones who can enter this cave. The Fire and Water Warriors could enter to. Or you could enter by yourself.

Kyonichi: Well they don't need to know that.

Kikyu: (Sigh) I know what you're planning your planning the same thing your father did.

Kyonichi: Oh what was that?

Kikyu: You're planning on putting the Darkness and Light Warriors together.

Kyonichi: Well it worked for my father didn't it?

Kikyu: Well yes but that doesn't mean that it will work for you.

Kyonichi: Well I can try can't I?

Kikyu: Just remember whatever happens is your fault.

Kyonichi: Very well.

Setting: The woods Haru is looking for Rin.

Haru: Hey Rin will you please come out I'm sorry! Riiiinnn!! Rin come on I didn't mean it. Please come out!

Rin: There's not way I'm coming out. Haru is such a jerk. How could I ever fall for him? I wish I could find someone like Sueichi. He's always there for Bio even when she's upset.

Haru: There you are. Why'd you run away?

Rin: Mind your own business Ichiu.

Haru: Since when do you call me by my last name?

Rin: Ever since you turn into a jerk.

Haru: What did I do?

Rin: I'm pacing worried to death about Bio and Sueichi while your laying on the grass think about God knows what!

Haru: Now what do I say? I can't tell her I was thinking of a way to ask her out. Well here goes nothing. Rin I didn't mean to ignore you. I was trying to think of a way to ask you out but I guess you don't want to so I'll see you around. (Turns and walks away)

Rin: Wait a minute Haru! (Haru turns and looks at her) I'm sorry I didn't mean to get mad at you but I just can't help it I'm worried about Bio and Sueichi. I wasn't trying to take it out on you.

Haru: Yeah I sorry to I should have paid more attention to you.

Rin: It's getting dark maybe we should go back and see if Bio and Sueichi have come out yet.

Haru: Good idea Rin by the way after we get back to the Human World do you want to get a bite to eat or something.

Rin: Defiantly

Haru: Great.

Back inside the cave Bio and Sueichi are standing with their backs to the wall on a small ledge

Bio: Hey Sueichi I'm starting to think that this isn't such a hot idea.

Sueichi: Yeah well we have to do what we can to get the Earth Jewel.

Bio: Man it's time like this I wish I wasn't the Light Warrior.

Sueichi: Why?

Bio: Because if I wasn't the Light Warrior then I wouldn't have to be here. (Bio's foot slips) eeeekkk. (Sueichi grabs her hand)

Sueichi: You alright?

Bio: Of course.

Sueichi: Like I was saying being the Light Warrior has nothing to do with being in here.

Bio: What do you mean?

Sueichi: Any Warrior could enter here.

Bio: WHAT??!!KYONICHI WHEN I Get OUT OF HERE YOU'REDEAD!!!!! (A few rocks fell from the ceiling)

Sueichi: You might not want to yell. I don't think that the cave is very stable.

Bio: Well why shouldn't I yell and besides why didn't you tell me this earlier?

Sueichi: Because I needed a good excuse to be alone with you.

Bio: I ought to knock you off the ledge for that.

Sueichi: Don't please. Can't you give me a few points for honesty a lot of people would have lied about that?

Bio: Alright about two points for honesty but I'm still mad at you.

Sueichi: It looks like we're almost to the end.

Bio: Right now where do we go from here?

Sueichi: It looks like the glow is coming from that direction. (Point to the left)

Bio: Hey I see the chamber. But what's that written on it?

Sueichi: I don't know I can't see. Hang on a minute (pulls out a box of matches) Here we go. (Lights one)

Bio: I still can't see very well. Hold the match a little closer. (Sueichi goes so) Now I can see it. It says: “Only the true queen pure at heart can obtain the priceless Jewel of the Earth. When her blood is spilt upon the chamber will it open the jewel.” What's that suppose to mean?

Sueichi: Well maybe since it used the words “pure at heart “ means.

Bio: True, but it said “the true queen pure at heart”.

Sueichi: Well maybe that was written back when the true Queen was alive but since she's dead now the Light Warrior could open it.

Bio: But what about a child of the Queen maybe they're the ones to open it.

Sueichi: The only children of the Queen are dead or at least that's the hunch.

Bio: Well only one way to find out. (The match goes out) Sueichi light another match.

Sueichi: Better not waste the match we already know what it says so all we have to do is figure out how to open it.

Bio: Well it says my blood has to by spilt so let me see you knife a minute.

Sueichi: Be careful. (Hands her the knife and she cuts the palm of her hand, smears it on the rock)

Bio: Okay now what do we do? ( The rock glows green and a head band appears with the Earth Jewel on it) Wow this must be the Earth Jewel. ( The cave begins to shake)

Sueichi: I think the force of the Earth Jewel is causing the cave to collapse. Lets get out of here.

Bio: Sounds good to me. (they run back to the cliff to find that a bride of rock has been made over it)

Bio: I think the Earth Jewel is helping us out.

Sueichi: If that thing can get us out of here in one piece I'll never dig a hole again.

Bio: Not the time for bad jokes Sueichi. (They continue to run until the get to the entrance were they get out just in time to see the cave entrance close and they collapse on the ground)

Kyonichi: Didn't you get the Earth Jewel?

Bio (panting): Give….us…..a….minute….to….catch….our 230;.breath….

Sueichi: Yeah we got it Kyonichi. (Bio holds up the Earth Jewel)

Kyonichi: Well done you two now I will give everyone two days off to get their strength back and then we will begin to look for the Earth Warrior.

Haru: Cool then we get our two week vacation right?

Rin: Yeah we could use some time off.

Kyonichi: Very well I think you have done a good enough job to get a few weeks off but you have to find the Earth Warrior.

Bio: Excellent!! Now let's go home and get to work.

Sueichi: After we get some rest.

Rin: Of course.

Haru: Let's just go.
