Chapter Fourteen

Intermission

Setting: The Park on the South side at sun set, Bio and Sueichi are the only ones there.

Bio: Man who come Rin and Haru get off early?

Sueichi: Because they have another date. (They begin to walk home)

Bio: WHAT!!?? Another one that makes four this week.

Sueichi: Five they went on one after work two days ago.

Bio: We have been back for three weeks and thanks to them slacking off so much we've made zip progress.

Sueichi: Well it's not like we can ask them to stop seeing each other.

Bio: I know that but I plan on asking Rin to stop getting off early so we can get some work done.

Sueichi: Bio, why are you so hard on them you act as if having a boyfriend is worse than death what's with it?

Bio: I just don't see the point in having someone make eyes at you twenty-four, seven.

Sueichi: Could that be because you lost some one you really cared about?

Bio: I don't think that's any of your business Takashi.

Sueichi: Oooh did I hit a nerve?

Bio: Once again none of your business.

Sueichi: Who was he?

Bio: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Sueichi: So you did have your heart broken huh?

Bio: Bio Uotani breaks hearts she doesn't have her's broken.

Sueichi: You know that your really bad at lying right.

Bio: Whatever, see you later Sueichi. I'm going for a walk on the dock. (Turns and runs in other direction)

Sueichi (yells): You know that it helps to talk about your problems not run from them. That girl is so stubborn. I wonder what happened to make her fear love like this. Well it will all come out in the end.

Bio: How does Sueichi always seem to know what I'm feeling or thinking?

The next day, Bio is sitting on the park bench waiting for the others.

Bio: I hope Sueichi doesn't push the boyfriend issue today. (Rin walks up)

Rin: Morning Bio.

Bio: I need to talk to you Rin.

Rin: About what?

Bio: About you and Haru slaking off.

Rin: We haven't been slaking off.

Bio: You two have taken off early four nights this week alone.

Rin: Well we would let you and Sueichi off early for a data if you needed to.

Bio: Sueichi and I aren't going out and even if we were you can leave us out of it.

Rin: Well just because you have commitment issues doesn't mean we all do.

Bio: Leave me out of this. From now on you two will work till sunset just like the rest of us and that's final.

Rin: Who do you think you are anyway? You can tell me when I can and can't go on a data.

Bio: Your right but I can tell you when and how long your work and your working the same hours as the rest of us.

Sueichi: Good morning girls. (Sees that they are in the middle of an argument) Am I interrupting something?

Bio (Points her finger at Sueichi): I've had enough of you too. You and her are searching the West side while me and Haru search the East side. And if you let her off early you'll have me to deal with got it?

Haru: What's up everyone?

Bio: You're coming with me.

Haru: What I do?

Bio: Slack off four days this week and you and her aren't going to be getting off early anytime soon so I hope you don't have plans.

Haru: Hang on one…………

Bio: THAT'S FINAL!!!!

Bio grabs Haru by the collar and drags him off and Rin starts to cry.

Sueichi: Rin are you okay?

Rin: No! What's her problem? I thought that Bio of all people would understand. I like Haru and I like to be with him other than at work.

Sueichi: I don't think Bio is completely to blame. I push an issue that Bio didn't want to talk about and I think that talking about you and Haru made her uncomfortable.

Rin: What did you to talk about?

Sueichi: I think that she had a really bad heart break and that makes her avoid things like long term boyfriends and such.

Rin: So seeing me and Haru might remind her of how happy she once was.

Sueichi: That and she has been a little over worked lately.

Rin: I guess it was a little inconsiderate of me and Haru to take off so much. Maybe I should apologize to Bio.

Sueichi: I'd wait till she cools off a little first.

Rin: Yeah your right. Well at least this has been a learning experience.

Rin: When Bio's mad you don't want to be on the receiving end.

Sueichi: I'll second that. We'd better to work before Bio finds out or we'll really be in for it.

Rin: Yeah.

East Side, Bio and Haru arguing

Haru: What's your problem Uotani?

Bio: I'm not the one with the problem. If you and Isuzu didn't take off so much I wouldn't have to yell at her.

Haru: Well it's not like you didn't do our fair share of work to.

Bio: The hell you did your fair share. Here's how I see it. Sueichi and I have been on this team a lot longer than you or Isuzu and we've only taken one night off in seven months. You and Isuzu take four days off in one week now you tell me what's fair.

Haru… ……………

Bio: Thought so. Now you go right and I'll go left. (Go separate ways) There you go again Bio. That's why any one who gets to know you never want to be your friend.

Later at the park Bio and Sueichi are waiting for Rin and Haru.

Sueichi: Any luck Bio?

Bio: No what about you?

Sueichi: No, but I think you owe Rin an apology.

Bio: For what?

Sueichi: For yelling at her. It's not her fault that you got your heart broken.

Bio: I know that I need to apologize for yelling but I have never had my heart broken.

Sueichi: Bio stop lying.

Bio: I'm not

Sueichi: Bio, did you know that when you lie your eyes change colors.

Bio: … …. …..

Sueichi: Now what happened? (Haru and Rin appear)

Rin: Hey guys find anything out?

Bio: Nope what about you?

Rin: Me neither. Hopefully we can find the Earth Warrior tomorrow.

Bio: Yeah well the sooner the better.

Rin: Yeah well let's go home.

Bio: Yeah (They begin walking with Rin and Haru leading then Sueichi catches up with Bio)

Sueichi (whispers in Bio's ear): We'll continue this conversation later okay.

The next day Rin is waiting for Bio and the others.

Rin: I hope that I can make peace with Bio today. Oh here she comes. Good morning Bio.

Bio: Morning Rin

Rin and Bio: I'm sorry!

Rin: You're sorry for what?

Bio: Because I yelled at you. I was mad and I took it out of you.

Rin: I'm the one who should be sorry making you and Sueichi work so hard. (They look at each other and start laughing uncontrollably)

Bio: How about to show how sorry I am when we find the Earth Warrior and get our two week vacation we all go out to my summer house for two weeks?

Rin: Excellent but on one condition

Bio: What's that?

Rin: You and Sueichi take the day off and we'll call it even.

Bio: You don't have to do that.

Rin: I know but we want to do it.

Sueichi: Want to do what?

Rin: Give you and Bio the day off.

Haru: Which you to are going to take.

Sueichi: Works for me.

Bio: No way. We have to find the Earth Warrior and we can't do that if two of us are slacking off.

Rin: One day isn't going to make that big a difference.

Bio: But the four of us can each search one side of the city.

Haru: One step ahead of you Bio. Rin will search the North Side for six hours as in until now till lunch while I search the South side then for another six hours I'll search the East side while she searches the West side.

Bio: But…but…..but

Rin: Face it Bio you're out of excuse.

Bio: It looks like I have no choice. Alright Sueichi and I will take the day off. (Rin and Haru give each other a high-five)

Rin: Mission accomplished

Bio: Get to work you two.

Rin and Haru: Yes ma'ma (Rin and Haru leave.)

Sueichi: Well Bio you have the day off what are you going to do?

Bio: You sound like a T.V host.

Sueichi: Well what are your plans for today?

Bio: I guess I'm going to go home and sleep most of the day.

Sueichi: Well I you don't have any plans for today why not hang out with me?

Bio: What did you have planed?

Sueichi: Nothing special just a lot of wandering.

Bio: What the hell I've got nothing better to do.

Sueichi: Cool let's just run by our houses first so we can get some money.

Bio: What ever. (They begin to walk) So were do we go first?

Sueichi: Well after this maybe just a walk thought the park on the East side.

Bio: Sounds good to me. I'll run up ahead and get my things.

Sueichi: Sure

Bio: Why did I ever agree to spend the day with Sueichi? If Rin or Haru sees us I'll have to go though the whole “Bio and Sueichi are dating” looks. (Bio enters her house and sticks her wallet in her pocket and then gets her sunglasses and puts them on her head then runs back to Sueichi. But as she turns the corner of Sueichi's house she runs into a middle aged woman.) I'm so sorry ma'ma I should have watch where I was going.

Woman: No problem no harm done. (Sueichi turns the corner)

Sueichi: Mother are you alright? (Runs over to the woman and helps her up)

Bio: Mother?! (Bio picks herself up off the ground)

Sueichi: (Turns to Bio) Oh Bio I see you've met my mother. (Turns back to the woman) Mother this is Bio Uotani, from school.

Mrs. Takashi: Hello dear nice to finally meet. Sueichi speaks very highly of you.

Bio: Thank you nice to meet you too.

Mrs. Takashi: I have to as you something. But do you happen to be related to Sae and Hotohari Uotani?

Bio: Yes I know them they're my parents.

Mrs. Takashi: I knew it you look just like your mother. Sae and I were best friends.

Bio: Cool

Mrs. Takashi: I know this is problem very insensitive but is it true that they……. Well….

Bio: Died? Yes about sixteen years ago.

Mrs. Takashi: Well I had better let you two go.

Sueichi: See you later mom.

Mrs. Takashi: Good-Bye Sueichi.

Bio: Weird it's almost like fate is pushing me and Sueichi together. (Shakes head) Get a grip on it girl. Now repeat after me “You are not falling for Sueichi Takashi!” “I am not falling for Sueichi Takashi!” And don't forget it.

Sueichi: Sorry about that. My mother isn't that bad once you get to know her but she is a little straight forward.

Bio: Yeah well do am I but it's kind of amazing that your mother knew my mother.

Sueichi: Kind of like destiny is pushing us together huh?

Bio: I'd call it an interesting coincident.

Sueichi: Call it what you like but it all spells destiny.

Bio: Where'd you learn to spell?

Sueichi: You know what I mean

Later sunset: Bio and Sueichi are watching the sun set on the docks.

Sueichi: I had fun today Bio.

Bio: So did I.

Sueichi: Now are you ready to tell me what's with your boyfriend issue?

Bio: How many times do I have to tell you that I don't have “boyfriend issues”!

Sueichi: Than how come I have to trick and sneak to get a date with you?

Bio: This isn't a date!

Sueichi: What is it then?

Bio: Its two FRIENDS who have the day off spending it together.

Sueichi: Sound like a date to me.

Bio: Well nobody asked you! I'm going home. (Starts running)

Sueichi: Fine whatever see you. Stubborn woman

(Bio runs home and collapse on the coach and starts to cry.)

Bio: Just your luck Uotani! You finally fined a guy you like and he winds up being a jerk. (There's a knock on the door and Rin burst in)

Rin: Okay Bio I want the 4-1….1... (Looks and sees that Bio is crying) Bio what happened?

Bio: Nothing I've just been exposed to air with a lot of jerk in it

Rin: So the Sueichi date didn't go well.

Bio: No

Rin: I'll just let you be see you tomorrow Bio.

Bio: Bye
