That day ended up being a drag. Shane sat around on his computer all day, chatting with Tony for most of three hours that afternoon before Tony had to leave. After that he browsed the Internet, reading random articles and just going over old friend's Myspaces. He actually came across a lot of people's pages that he used to know and decided to drop a comment. By the time he'd run out of things to do it was almost seven, and his eyes were hurting like hell. Deciding he needed to get off the computer, he hit the sleep button on the keyboard and left his room, heading to the stairs. He paused at Jason's room door, wondering what he'd been doing in there for so long. He had a mind to just walk by, but he figured it wouldn't hurt to just knock.

Tapping his knuckles on the wood three times he didn't receive and answer, and even when he called Jason's name, there was no answer. He was a little worried that Jason had left the house, maybe gone somewhere else? He opened the door slowly and quietly, peaking into the room to see an adorable sight. Jason was asleep on bed cover with his arms stretched above his head and a book folded open on his chest. There were three other books lying around him, all of them fairly long novels. Shane just smiled, standing in the doorway watching the sleeping boy; he was reminded of the obvious reason that he wanted Jason back, because he was downright adorable.

A loud knock on the door downstairs snapped him out of his dazed state and he quickly but quietly shut Jason's door and hurried down to answer it. He didn't know whom to expect, as he wasn't really expecting anyone, but when he opened the door he couldn't say she would've been his first choice for a visitor.

“Hey,” Shane said with a half-hearted smile, standing in the doorway, not even thinking to let her in.

“Hi,” Carly replied, fingers laced together as she rocked back and forth nervously. “Melissa just blew me off, and I was in the neighborhood so I thought I'd drop by,” She shrugged. She was wearing a short, dark green leather skirt; two chokers and wristbands all up her arms. She was wearing what looked somewhat like a swimsuit top with a long leather jacket with sleeves that covered her hands. Her naval was pierced and she had a lip ring in, which she rarely did, she'd always said they were a pain in the ass.

“All right, come on in,” Shane finished inspecting her clothes and then stepped out of the way. She had such an interesting wardrobe, Shane couldn't help but want to get into her closet and see what fit him. He cringed, shaking the thought of cross-dressing from his mind, definitely not for him.

Carly accepted his invitation with a smile and headed right in, snatching a can of Pepsi from the refrigerator and plopping down on the couch. It was always like this when she came over, she'd just raid the cupboards and fridge and make herself at home.

“So why'd Melissa blow you off, I thought you two were best friends,” Shane asked as he came slowly into the room, sitting in the chair furthest from where she sat.

“She's straight, I hit on her,” Carly shrugged. “She'll get over it though. I knew she was straight but I thought she was open to like one night stands with chicks and shit but I guess I was wrong,” She opened the Pepsi and took a long drink of it. Shane could see the liquid go down her throat and his eyes moved to her stomach where it ended up.

“You're good at hitting on people who don't like girls,” Shane mumbled.

“Yeah, well you know what I believe,” She burped loudly, covering her mouth, and set the can on the coffee table. “Everyone's bisexual,” She giggled, lying across the couch with the remote in her hand.

“And that dating is for low lives, and that the seventies was the only sane time period…” Shane smirked. “And let's not forget “it's more fun to die young,” seriously, where do you get this shit?” He liked to poke fun at her for all of her strange morals, it didn't seem to bother her after all, they were just so abnormal.

“I don't get it from anywhere, it's fuckin' true,” She shrugged. Shane rolled his eyes and turned his attention toward the TV, he knew he could say all he wanted but it wouldn't change her mind.

“You got pizza right?” She asked. Shane nodded “Can I have some?” He nodded again. She was aware that Shane almost always had left over pizza in the house, he and Natalie got it so often and she usually didn't eat much, it would sometimes sit in the fridge for weeks. Unless of course, Carly came over, then it would be gone in one night.

Shane was surprised she hadn't said anything about the night before and what had happened. She usually ended up bringing things like that up right away just to get them over with; then again, Carly didn't apologize unless she was sorry.

She came back out with a plate of three pieces of pizza in her hand and another can of Pepsi, humming a song by Madonna.

“Listen Shane,” She began. “There's this party tonight at Chase's, I'm sure it'd be fine with him if you came, and maybe it'd be good to get your mind off you know who,” She started humming again after she finished, and just to make it worse, started dancing. Shane sighed, wondering if this was her idea of another way to get in his pants. He'd probably see some old friends there, ex-boyfriends and a lot of other people he didn't want to see, but on top of all that party did sound good at the moment. He'd just have to stay away from alcohol and keep his sexual interactions limited to dancing; maybe kissing, and it would've gone fine.

“Will Dan be there?” Shane asked.

“Well duh, he's the life of the party, everyone gets all hyped up when they see their old vice-principal standing around drinking beer,” She giggled. Dan had become one of Shane's good friends during his high school years, he lost his job just after Shane graduated because he was suspected of letting too many offenses go, which he was surely guilty of. Either way after the first time he was invited to one of the parties that the ex-high school students threw, it seemed he showed up at all of them. He usually came with a girl his age to keep things steady and so he didn't look like a perverted old creep.

“All right, why not,” Shane shrugged. “What time does it start?” He asked.

“It started a half hour ago and goes to 3 AM, so we got plenty of time to chill out before we go, you can be my date,” She said, snuggling into the pillows on the couch again.

“Can we go now?” Shane suggested, ignoring her remark.

“Lemme eat my pizza, yo!” She hushed him and shoved half a piece in her mouth. Shane shrugged, deciding at the rate she was eating, that wouldn't take very long.

The party was bigger, and louder than Shane had expected, it seemed like the whole neighborhood had shown up for it. The line of cars parked on the side of the street went as far as he could see, and the front yard was covered in people. Chase was a rich assed kid with a big house, and lots of room for these kinds of parties, not to mention his mom was okay with them, so his house was usually the spot.

Shane was lucky to get a spot to park that was near the house, just as another car pulled out, he was able to pull in.

Carly practically dragged him up the sidewalk, gripping his hand and greeting people as she walked by. Shane saw lots of people he recognized from school, lots of familiar faces, in fact almost no one he didn't know by name. Shane was too busy scanning over every face to notice that Carly had taken a seat next to Kelly Mathias and began a conversation. She tugged his arm to get his attention and pointed at the spot next to her to get him to sit down and act a little more casual. Shane hadn't been to a party in so long, he hadn't seen any of these people in over five years; he had a right to be a little shy.

“Shane!” One of Shane's old good friends, Marsh, came running over to him. “Ohmigod I haven't seen you in for-fucking-ever, where the hell have you been, man?” He put a hand on Shane's head and messed up his hair, wearing a big cocky grin. “Where's Anthony, he used to be like, the fucking life of the party, man,” Marsh was obviously drunk, or not far from it. Shane wasn't used to people calling Tony, Anthony, some did, some didn't, it depended on the person and which they preferred.

“Tony…” Shane paused. “He's changed a little, he's probably just hanging around at home,” He replied.

“Really? You two still hang out?” Marsh asked.

“Hell yeah, you could say that,” Shane replied.

“Good, `cause I remember you guys in school, you were like, fucking stuck together, every time I saw one of you I saw the other,” Marsh clapped his hands and grinned. Shane nodded and shrugged, he couldn't really argue with that. After that Marsh was taken by the arm by some blond girl and dragged off into the yard, seeming to forget he was even talking to anyone.

“Hey, you wanna dance?” Carly nudged Shane's shoulder. Shane turned to her in almost disbelief, but she didn't look like she was up to something, just as if it was going to be a simple friend-to-friend dance. So Shane agreed, apprehensively, but he said yes.

Carly was surprisingly nice about it, for the first two songs she just stayed near him, didn't grind, or touch, or even get too close. The third song was slow though, and she made the decision one her own that they were going to be like a couple for it. Shane didn't protest, he wasn't concerned as long as she wasn't trying anything sexual, and so far she hadn't. He put her hands on her waist and she wrapped hers around his neck and they just started rocking back and forth. She was staring at his face, but he was looking around at other faces, people were whispering things, and he kept getting strange looks. It seemed almost like people were noticing that the openly gay man was now dancing with a girl, and they were actually making something of it? It had to have been obvious that they were just friends…

Shane was watching one guy whisper something into another guy's ear when the song ended. He wasn't paying any attention to Carly at all, and barely noticed when she got closer. The next thing he knew he was up against the side of the garage, being roughly kissed. Her hands were all over him and for some reason his hands were still on her waist. He tried to say something, to push her off but she wouldn't budge, and her tongue wouldn't leave his mouth. Finally he got a good hold on her shoulders and threw her off. She stumbled backwards a bit but kept on her feet, pushing her hair out of her face.

“Fuck, Shane,” She breathed heavily, ignoring the fact that some eyes were still on the two of them. Shane wiped his mouth, gave her the finger and headed for the front door to the house. She was such a persistent bitch he was considering ditching her for good, but for the same reason he wasn't sure that was possible.

He bumped into Chase on the way toward the stairs, who stopped him and told him something about being happy to see him there before Shane just pulled away and continued up the stairs. He didn't really care that the upstairs was for the most part off limits, he'd been up there before, and he'd also been in Chase's room, so out of instinct that's the one he went in. He didn't touch anything, as he didn't want to be the one responsible if something was broken or torn. He just closed the door and sliding his feet, went over to the bed and sat down there.

Her taste was still in his mouth, and while it wasn't really a bad taste, thinking about how it got there pissed him off. He really wasn't in the mood for that kind of shit, he'd come here to get his mind off things, and forget about how his life was getting fucked up. Not that his life wasn't already that way, but things were only getting worse. He was sick of Carly, hadn't seen Mark since he met Derek, Natalie barely interacted with him anymore, and he didn't even know where Raj and Teresa had gone. Jason probably did, but they sure as hell weren't at his house anymore, which was where they were supposed to be staying. He sighed and picked up a pillow for the sake of having something to hug, or squeeze to death. He was running out of people who cared about him, he had Tony, and maybe Jason, but he wasn't sure about the rest, or if he even wanted them to care.

His head snapped up when the room door flew open, in stepped the last person he wanted to see.

“What the hell do you want? Get out,” He stuffed his face into the pillow and turned away.

“No,” She shut the door behind her. “You kissed back,” She claimed, crossing her arms and leaning against the door.

“Yeah right,” He glared. “It's kind of hard not to kiss back when someone's tongue is half way down your throat,” He spat. She sighed and dragged her feet over to the computer chair to sit down.

“Why is it so horrible to you anyway, it's just sex, I'm not asking you to marry me or any shit like that. I bet most of the guys down there wouldn't have second thoughts,” Carly taunted, spinning around in the chair.

“Well if I was most of those guys, I doubt you'd want in my pants anyway,” Shane mumbled. “Do you even understand the meaning of the word gay? I'm not even sure I'd come…” He was glaring daggers at her because she just kept smiling.

“What?” He barked when she started giggling. He laughter broke out and she threw her head back against the chair, hand over her mouth. “Jesus, Carly, what is so funny?” He slammed the pillow back at the head of the bed and gave her a threatening stare.

“I'm sorry,” She got up and practically collapsed next to him on the bed, grasping his sleeve as she tried to calm herself. “You're just so cute sometimes, you remind me of a little virgin boy,” She pressed her forehead against his shoulder, catching her breath. Shane almost let out a laugh himself.

“Yeah right, me, a virgin, in your dreams,” He scowled. “You know my favorite thing about you is when you're around I'll always be reminded that there are people out there that are more slutty than I am,” He insulted. Carly pounced on him immediately, holding him down on the bed with her knees on his thighs and her hands holding his wrists. He stared up at her, mouth falling open; he didn't know what to say to the smirk she was wearing.

“Actually, I haven't had intercourse in over a month, not with men anyway,” She said in her own defense, a wink following her words.

“What about oral?” He tried jerking his hands away but she had him down good this time. She let out a laugh and leaned closer, Shane pushing the back of his head into the pillows, trying to escape that way.

“You want me to suck your cock Shane?” She giggled suggestively. Shane gasped when he felt her knee press up in between his legs.

“Fuck you,” He said under his breath. His body language didn't really go with his words, as he was arching into the touch of her bare knee against him. He had his eyes sealed shut and he was already getting hard, damn her, she was good.

“No, Shane,” She was all but laying on him now. “Fuck me,” She demanded. Shane was through with her shit, he couldn't take that feeling she was putting on him. He took hold of her shoulders and rolled over so that he was on top, causing her to let out a squeal of joy. His breath picked up as he pushed up her skirt, ignoring her completely otherwise. She growled, annoyed by the way he wouldn't look at her and grabbed his face, pushing his head down so their lips crushed together. This time Shane was completely aware of the fact that he was kissing her back, tugging on her lip ring with his teeth as he pulled her underwear down to her knees. She wore a grin from ear to ear, turning her head to the side so he stopped kissing her; she just wanted to feel it.

Shane didn't want to be too aware of what he was doing; all he knew was that he had to do something to finish his erection. He kept his eyes on the headboard, refusing to look down at her unappealing female anatomy. He didn't really care what she wanted anymore, she said she wanted him, and now he was going to give all he felt like giving, and he was going to give it hard.

She groaned as he pushed in, letting out a moan himself, moving himself in and out like he always did. He was already finding the downsides of this, no painful shriek when he shoved in, high squeal-like moans, and worst of all, no cock. Still he just kept on going, it definitely felt good. He pushed harder and faster with every thrust, breath picking up more and more as things went on. Carly was encouraging too, kept telling him `yes' and `more' and `fuck me', he wished she would've just shut up. Finally with one hard, full thrust that lifted her bottom half off the bed, he came. He collapsed on her, cheek to cheek as he pulled out.

“That wasn't so bad,” She breathed. “Was it?”

Shane hardly took time to catch his breath before he was on his feet and zipping up his pants.

“Hey don't you dare fucking leave me here alone!” She reached down and pulled her underwear back up all the way. She jumped to her feet and pushed her skirt down, glancing back at the bed where there was a stain on Chase's bed cover, oh yes, he would be pissed.

“Come on,” Shane glanced back at her a moment and then headed toward the room door. He wasn't really ashamed, he was just mad, even more so than he was before. And worst of all, once again, he was mad at himself more than anyone else.

Carly jumped on his back just before he took a stop down the stairs. He rolled his eyes and held her there as she kissed his cheek.

“Thanks,” She said sweetly with a smile. Shane sighed to himself and continued down the stairs with her clinging to him.

“Hey, you too!” Chase called to them just before Shane made it to the door. He stopped and they both turned to look at him. “I heard that!” He pointed up with a wide grin on his face. Carly winked at him and Shane just grunted, leaving the house. Now that Chase knew the whole city would have heard about it by the next week. Then again, Shane decided he didn't really care, he didn't know half the people he used to anyway.

Shane pulled up in front of Carly's house and stopped the car to let her out.

“I'll call you tomorrow, okay?” She said. He nodded, keeping his eyes on the road in front of him, just waiting for her to leave. “Hey, don't be like that all right?” She gave him a light slap on his cheek. “I'm not that bad after all,” She grinned. Shane smiled and shrugged as she left the car, giving him a wave before she shut the door and headed up the driveway. Shane cursed himself as he started the car again, he just wanted to go home and see Jason, forget this ever happened.

A/n- I think this is a new record for me xD. An update in less than two days, whoot! It's a little short, but the next one should be longer and is going to sum a few things up as well.

I know this chapter was out of sequence in a way, what happened here really doesn't fit much with the actual story. But I was going over the mental outline in my head and I realized that if I didn't stick this in here now, what occurred in this chapter, which is critical to the plot later on, would not really have a place at all if I waited any longer to add it in. So what happened here really isn't that big of a deal and kind of random as of now, but it does have meaning in the second book. There's some characters mentioned here as well that will be introduced in the second book.

Also, it just hit me that this book is almost over xD. (The book—not the story.) The end is coming up and at a guess I can say I'm about 3-4 chapters away from finishing. I pretty much know exactly how things are going to go through, but I can never be sure how long it'll take. So it won't be long before I'm finished with this and I can start on the next book, hooray! ….now… review xD.
