Hazel Eyes
Chapter Nine
Lucky Me

Introducing

(Secret Passageways 101)
I should have maybe mentioned this earlier, but I had no idea what we were going to do once we got out of Dean's office. The door we went through lead us into this tiny hallway, we had to crouch just to walk through it. Claudia must have screamed about a half-dozen time's whenever she felt something move near her foot, six of those times were her treading on the back of my heel, but I had to admit I was freaked out by the mice squeaks that could be heard from inside the wall. The large spider web's weren't helping either, the spider's that came with them just made Claudia freak out and start swiping her French tipped nails around.
By the time we got to the end of the passageway, there was a door with an actual handle we could use to get out. I pulled at the handle trying to open the door; it felt like it was super glued shut with extra strength building glue. I stopped pulling when Alice coughed lightly.
“… Lassie, you have to push the door”
“Oh” I muttered as Claudia snickered.
I felt like hitting Claudia with my good arm, I'd like to see her contribute something to this situation, something other then the things I tell her to do. God, I was sounding just like my Mother; 'Do thing's to contribute to others without being asked, that's the aspect of responsibility'. The woman was taking a toll on me without even knowing it.
I pushed the door in, just like before it pushed about an inch and a half each time I shoved it with my shoulder. Tessa joined in to help, seeing as Claudia didn't want to get spider webs and dirt all over her outfit. I doubt she'll have to worry about dirt if those people get a hold of us. Alice looked worried when Tessa joined in; furrowing her brow's inward and making a small 'O' shape with her mouth. I didn't understand why though, compared to my state Tessa was perfectly capable of helping out a bit more.
“What --- Do those jerk's --- Want!” gasped Tessa as she continued to pound on the door.
“They could have been sent by Alec Harson, but I doubt he would send his men out with Dean so close on his trail” answered Alice.
“Then --- Who?” I asked, even though I had no idea who this Harson guy was, I could tell he wasn't one of Dean's most favorite people in the world.
“That lassie, even I am not sure of”
The door suddenly flew open, sending me and Tessa crash landing onto the floor. I groaned in pain, if I had known I'd be falling on my ass all day I would have worn football padding or something. I pushed myself up from the tiled floor with my good arm; it took about three seconds in total to realize we were in the kitchen, which meant our house guests were most probably right next door...
“Finally, we're out of there ---” I covered Claudia's mouth with my hand, making a 'shush' sound. Trust Claudia to start talking the moment she stepped out of the door. They had probably already heard us from the noise Tessa and I made while trying to get through the door, but I wasn't about to take any risks, we needed to be as quiet as possible.
Claudia nodded slowly and I went to help Tessa up. Tessa seemed very tired today, whether it be from all the excitement or her house work I didn't know, but I wasn't about to ask at a time like this. Alice seemed to look a little pale, placing her arm gently on Tessa's back for comfort and smiling my way.
“Its all right lassie, I have her” she muttered “You okay Dear?” she asked, holding Tessa firmly despite her small frame.
I stepped back and watched as Tessa nodded, she looked almost paler then Alice and seemed worn down. I had to admit even I probably looked like some girl that stepped out of a horror movie, but Tessa just seemed so... off, like she was very sick. But wouldn't she have mentioned it earlier on? I would have noticed something through the week that I had been here, but then again I had only met Tessa a few days before, for all I knew I could have been here for more then one week. I didn't even know what day it was.
I suddenly heard feet shuffling our way, rather loud feet at that. Panic sunk in, and everyone knows people do stupid things when panicked.
“They're coming!” Claudia all but shrieked. I covered her mouth yet again and felt the soft thuds of people running through the living room.
I was so going to regret this later on.
I pushed my body over to the double doors that were currently shut, as soon as my body make contact with the door's the person --- or person's --- on the other side started to push them open, I never had much self control so it wasn't a real surprise that I screamed my head off; hey, I'm not super girl here. The bodies on the other side were much stronger, so as they pushed inwards, I was almost thrown to the floor but willed myself to stay standing.
The doors became easier to hold as a second person came to help me; I turned my head and was surprised to see Claudia helping me. We screamed each time we were pushed in. Claudia nudged me from the side, I looked at her and she nodded to the top of the doors. Looking up, I seen why, two locks were located on top of each door, while on the bottom there were matching twin locks. I caught the basic jiff of her idea and nodded in agreement.
“Alice!” we screamed in unison, which sounded odd as it consisted of an Australian accent and a British one.
Alice looked up from Tessa, her eyes widening at the realization of what we were doing.
“Alice, the locks, we need you to set the locks!” I screamed, putting more of my energy into keeping the doors closed. Claudia seemed to be having a pretty difficult time herself. The double doors on the other side of the kitchen were what caught my attention; they were the second entrance to the kitchen and lead back into the hallway.
Alice made her way over after setting Tessa down lightly; I kept my hazel eyes glued on the doors across from us, the screaming seemed to tune out and all I could hear was my heavy breathing. I could feel Alice working the locks, as the door's became lighter I put less strength into keeping them closed. That was my first mistake.
The doors on the other side seemed to open slowly, a dark haired man was behind them and pointing a small rifle in, it was small and silver, it looked like one of those silencer guns. I launched my body from my current position and slammed the door's in on his hand, a loud sound of pain could be heard and I had never felt so much pleasure in hearing someone else's pained screams before.
“Skye!” screamed Alice as the double door's Claudia seemed to keeping shut was kicked in, sending both Claudia and Alice sprawling across the tiled floor. Alice looked to be unconscious, my body tensed as I moved away from the double door's I was previously occupying, too scared to walk over and check on her --- what if she was dead? Claudia wasn't in too bad of state, but had hit the corner of the kitchen bench pretty hard, as for Alice, I got up the strength to finally check on her. I shook her lightly and got a soft moan as a response. She was alive, that's all I needed to know.
The banging had stopped, the heavy foot falls had stopped, and all that was heard was Tessa's harsh breathing. I felt as if I was in some sort of horror movie, you know the last character left alive to tell the tale? That's how I felt right about now. My body ached, my arm felt as though it would drop off at any given second, and as for my emotional state? Don't even ask.
Claudia and Alice were out of the game, Tessa was having a had enough time trying to breath as if was, and I was left with one arm and no weapon. Lovely predicament I have gotten myself into, couldn't have handled it nicer, enter sarcastic smile here.
Sighing, I got to my feet, took one last glance at Tessa, and headed for the forced open double door's. If I was going to die, I may as well do it with my dignity in tact, at least that way Dean cant laugh and call me a coward when or if he ever got back. That bastard was going to get an earful from me the second he stepped foot into this house, I didn't really give a rats hairy ass if he could shoot me dead, he deserved every belting he got for making us go through this.
I walked carefully through the broken doors, careful not to make any sudden sounds. I knew these people knew I was here, walking through to find them. Cat and mouse; the best game any psychotic killer can play, especially with a young girl. But what did I care? I was already kidnapped, threatened, tied up and gagged, not to mention played maid for a couple of days as well as being locked in my room. How much worse could it get?
A soft click from behind me answered my question. From the sound it was definably a gun. What, they couldn't point that thing at some other part of my body for a change?
“Now, how did a pretty little thing like you end up here?”
`Was he hitting on me?'
“But I think the main question is, how did a pretty little thing like you get out of that room alive? Looked to me like the place was sealed up pretty tight, what with all those blokes standing guard and all”
`I swear if he calls me 'pretty little thing' one more time, I'm going to shove that gun up his ass and pull the trigger without a second thought…'
“What can I say; I'm a shifty little thing… mate” I sneered.
All I could hear was his voice; I hadn't even seen his face, not like I'd want to or anything. What I found strange is the fact he hadn't once mentioned the other girls, maybe there was a chance he didn't know they were in there, but the guys who kicked in the door must have known about them or at least seen them, I couldn't of possibly held those door's closed all by myself.
I gasped as the guy forced me around by my hurt arm, pain racked through my whole left side “Oww!” I screamed. The guy didn't seem too remorseful or sorry; his black eyes looked me over, his matching hair limp over his forehead.
“I see you've hurt your arm” he muttered.
I glared “Well no shit Sherlock, what next? Going to come to the conclusion I'm a girl too!” I snapped, my arm was killing and my temper short.
His eyes traveled over me once more “I can see you're a girl Miss or more like, a woman maybe”
`Yeah, this jerks hitting on me and doing a lousy job of it too.'
His still had his hand latched around my hurt arm “Yeah, that's really going to work on me. Just kill me now before I kill myself, anything's better then listening to you talk” I picked that line up from Claudia when she was telling Cole off for hitting on her.
His eyes narrowed dangerously as he pulled me closer. “Oh, we'll get to that soon enough pretty little thing, but right now let's just make the most of our time together”
The gun was still aimed at my head, but what was worse: Dieing, or being felt up by this fuck ugly bastard? I chose the latter one. Lifting my knee I hit low, the exact same way I kneed Colt, but this time I put a little more force into it. The guy let out a cry of pain. Shoving myself away from him, I managed to get away from the gun and unlatch his arm.
“You wish pervert!”
I kicked him in the stomach for good measures. Okay, so it was an act of making me feel better about what he had said, that was most definably going to give me nightmares later on. I grabbed the gun as he went to hold his stomach, I wasn't quite sure how they did this, but I may as well give it a go. I held the gun up, bringing the handle down onto the guys head; I really hoped I hadn't hit him too hard, the last thing I needed was a dead man on my conscience. He was knocked unconscious, making me let out a sigh of relief.
There was one down, but how many more to go? I really didn't have a clue.

The thing I was looking for was a way out, or a phone, something that could let me escape or call someone. If Colt hadn't broken my phone I could have called 9-1-1 emergencies for help, my service allowed that at least. My silent prayers seemed to be answered as I spotted a phone in one of the vacant room's downstairs, I hadn't had another run in with anymore of those guys, and I wanted it to stay that way. I really hoped Tessa and Alice were okay; Claudia seemed to be able to handle her own when she really put her mind to it.
I lifted the phone from the hook and listened for a dial tone, nothing could be heard on the other end, I tapped the phone a couple of times for good measures.
“Hello?” I asked into the phone. There was no reply, not like I was expecting anything.
I sighed and sat the phone gently down, leaning against the wall for support; I slid down it and onto my knees. This whole week my nerves had been shot, my hope for returning home diminishing fast and I missed my friends and family like crazy. What had I done to deserve this sort of cruel punishment?
“So, those bitches are still in the kitchen?”
My eyes widened. Where had that voice come from? I looked over to where the phone sat, that wasn't a phone; it was an intercom. I gently picked it up, covering the mouth piece with my hand. They must have knocked the other speaker off its dial and hadn't noticed.
“Yeah, we knocked out the blond one”
`Tessa'
“What about the other three?” another voice inquired.
“Three?” the second voice seemed to be confused “You mean other two? We tied them up along with the other one”
My eyes widened. Did they know? They must know I got out.
I heard a low annoyed growl “You idiot!” I jumped from the man's yell and almost dropped the phone “There were supposed to be four girls in that room, the two maids, that girl Dean always has as backup or whatever the hell she is and the hostage!”
`The girl he has for backup?'
“Well, we only need the girl they took don't we?” were they talking about me? “She has to be one of 'em”
“Boss” this was a new voice, it sounded younger then the other two “Sharper's knocked out and his gun's missing”
Silence followed for a good two minutes.
I could tell from the movement's the leader wasn't happy “Why hadn't you noticed this when you went and searched the area?”
The second man stuttered his words before I heard multiple gunshots. I gasped and dropped the phone, knocking the table down with it. I scattered to my feet, making sure the gun was secure in the back of my (technically Claudia's) jeans before bolting to the nearest exit.
I wished I had paid more attention in P.E. This would be so much easier if I wasn't so out of shape, and the funny part is I never really had the attention of guys at school, and now look at me; I have the attention of every guy in this house.
Lucky me;
