Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Jade and Jaden ❯ Not a doctor ( Chapter 4 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
The twins are now 11 years old, and in the 5th grade. Their friends, Xavier, Danny, Anna, and Izzy have yet to find out their secret, along with the others in the school. Their mother doesn’t know what their father had done to the papers, for he was the one to pick them up and drop them off. The twins were living a great life, until now, when their mother was going to pick them up from school due to a doctor's appointment; well they thought it was a doctor’s appointment.
Jade was sitting with Danny, like she always did, helping him with his math that he couldn’t' figure out. Math, reading and writing were he strong subjects in school, though she was good at all of them. Yet she didn't care, as long as she was near Danny. She was in love with Danny, but didn't say anything, because he thought she was a girl and didn't want him to find out that she was really a girl.
" So you just round this to the nearest decimal?" Danny asked.
" Yes, and then turn it into a fraction," Jade smiled at him, looking at his eyes getting lost in them. " You remember how to do that?"
" Yes, Jaden, thank you again," He chuckled. " I don't know what I would do without you."
" Same here," Jade nodded her head. " Let me go check on my sister."
" Alright, oh when do you have to leave?" Danny asked her. He didn't like that news that she was leaving early.
Jade looked at the clock. " About 10 minutes, sadly."
" Oh, shit..." He pouted.
" Sorry," She said, feeling tears burn into her eyes, but she pulled them back. She never cried, even when she got hurt. She refused to cry, because boys don't cry around others. " Jade?"
Jaden was talking to Xavier, like always, and didn't hear his sister. Jaden was falling for Xavier, but never told him, but let it show. He just hoped that it wasn't obvious, yet it was.
" Jade!" Jade snapped a little, and Jaden's head snapped up.
" Oh sorry, brother," Jaden smiled.
" Do you have everything together?" Jade asked, sighing a little.
Jaden's eyes saddened. " Yes, I do,"
" Hey, you'll be here tomorrow," Xavier tried to cheer him up, patting his shoulder.
Jaden blushed, nodding. " Yeah,"
There was a knock on the classroom door, and the teacher Mr. Irving shot up to answer it.
" Hello?" He said.
Mari smiled. " Hi, I'm Jade and Jaden's mother. I'm here to pick them up,"
" Alright, one second, come in if you'd like," Mr. Irving smiled at her. He didn't really like their mother. She gave him a bad feeling. " Jaden, Jade your mother is here to pick you up."
" Okay," They said grimly, picking up their things, saying bye to their friends, and walked to the door where their mother stood. How they hated her so.
" Hey sweeties, have a good day?" Mari asked smiling down at them, hating that one another were dressed as the opposite gender.
" Jaden is really good a math," Mr. Irving patted Jade's shoulder. " I'm hoping to put him in a higher math."
Mr. Irving calling Jade Jaden stuck her as odd, very odd. Maybe he got them mixed up, but they looked so much like the opposite gender that it was hard to tell.
" Sir, that's Jade," Mari pointed out.
" Ma'am I think I would know my students names," He smiled.
" And I think I would know my own children," Mari said a little to loud.
" Mother, can we go now!" Jade growled at her.
" Jade, don't take that tone with me young lady," Mari snapped, getting all the kids to look at them.
" I'M JADEN!!!!" Jade shouted. " GOD! CAN'T YOU TELL!" Their mother was going to blow their cover.
Mari said no more, to upset. She took their hands and headed out the room. She was very upset that the teacher called them by the opposite names, thinking that Jade was male, and that Jaden was female. She hated it, hated it so much. Why couldn't them be her little girl and boy again like they were when they were little new borns? And how didn't the teacher know that Jade was really a girl and Jaden was really a boy, unless something was wrong with the paper.
" He didn't...." She said in the car heading to the doctor's office, knowing realizing what her husband had done that day on the twins' first day of school.
Jade was so mad at her mother that she was biting into her hand to keep from calling her a fucking bitch. She hated her mother so much right now. Now everyone was going to know that she wasn't the boy she claimed to be, then everyone would hate her. Yet she was more worried about everyone hating her brother. Everyone liked her brother, and it would break her heart if she saw him suffer for what his or her mother had said so loudly. She would have to talk to father.
Jaden could see that his sister was gravely upset with their mother. He didn't like it when she bit her hand to the point where it would almost bleed. He feared that one day she would really start hurting herself. Yet he never said anything to her about, fearing that she would get upset with him. The thought of everyone finding out that he wasn't the girl he claimed to be bothered him, but not as much as it didn't his sister. He could live with people knowing that he was different, even if it meant that he would lose Xavier as a friend.
" Mom, we just past the doctors office," Jaden said as he looked out the window, watching as the normal doctor's office they went to passed by.
" Well, honey, you're going to see a new doctor today," Mari smiled at her son from the rear view mirror.
" But...Why?" Jaden asked, starting to have a very bad feeling, just like Jade was at the very same moment.
" Because, I wanted to try to see if you like this doctor just in case, sweetie," Mari said, hoping that one of them wouldn't figure it out.
" Really?" Jaden said, even though something told him that wasn't the reason. He didn't even know why he asked.
" No, she's probably taking us to see some metal doctor because her whore of a mother told her that something was wrong with us," Jade sighed looking out the window. She hated Grandma Clare. She never called her Grandma, unless around her, but when she wasn't around her it was always ' that whore' or ' fucking bitch'. Her mother offend got mad at her over it, but her father on the other hand got her out of trouble so she wouldn't get ground.
" Jade, don't say that about your Grandma!" Mari scolded her daughter, cursing that day that she heard her father curse up a storm that one thanksgiving.
" Whatever," Jade said, paying no mind to her mother's scolding tone. She never worried about getting in trouble with her mother like Jaden did. She was surprised that Jaden didn't dress like a girl with the way he did what his mother told him.
God I hate my mother so much. She complains over everything, she thought to herself as she watched building go by, wishing that one-day their mother would just disappear off the face of the earth.
Their mother pulled into the drive of a building. The twins could tell right away that this was a place for metal people, and wondered if their father knew that their mother was taking them there. He probably didn't know; yet they were wrong about that.
Mari walked into the office holding the twins hands. She walked up the to glass window, and an elderly woman looked at her.
" Hello, I'm Mari Andrews, and I made an appointment for my kids to see Dr. Katze," She spoke to the woman kindly, with that fake smile that the twins could see through.
The elderly woman seemed to noticed that the twins didn't like their mother all the much, and that they didn't like being here; which was true. She looked at Mari, having to hold her tongue so she wouldn't say something rude to her.
" Sorry, Mrs. Andrews, but Dr. Katze had to leave eailer, but we do have another doctor here," She said as kindly as she could, trying not to smile.
" What?!" This ruined her plans. Dr. Katze was a friend of her, a little more than a friend. She knew that Dr. Katze would tell her everything that twins said even though it might mean losing the job and license.
" Sorry, would you like to make another appointment for a different day?" She asked, seeing Jade bit her lip, trying not to laugh. The woman found nothing wrong with the twins, for her own daughter wished to be a boy.
" No, no, I already paid for it. Might as well get my money's worth," She sighed.
" Alrighty then, I'll let the doctor know that twins are here," She got up and went to get the doctor.
The twins stayed standing, while their mother sat down, feeling defeated. The twins looked at each other and mentally laughed. They had a feeling that their mother was planning something and that those plans went down the drain and fast. They were glad of it too.
" Jade, and Jaden Andrews?" A male doctor said, calling their names.
" That's us," Jade said, raising her hand.
The man smiled. " This way, please."
Mari went to follow them, but the man stopped her. " It's only between me and them, sorry ma'am. You made the appointment for them only."
" Alright," she said, sitting back down, very pissed off at this point.
The twins entered the man's office, which the thought would be dull and boring, but it wasn't. There was music playing, and it smelled of flowers, and there was even a candy bowl on his desk.
" Please, sit, make yourselves at home," He smiled kindly sitting behind his desk. " Help yourselves to some candy, I have more where that came from so take what you like,"
Though it he offered it, they didn't take it. This stuck that man as very odd, so he tried a different approach.
" You think I'm on your mother's side don't you?" He asked, which caught the twins attention and the looked down ashamed of themselves. " I understand, please don't think that. I'm not that low as Dr. Katze." He rolled his eyes. " That man is such a moron and....pardon my French, man whore."
Jade and Jaden looked at him, and laughed a little.
" Speak your mind, we don't care if you curse," Jaden smiled kindly at him. " Brother and Dad curse, so it's not a big deal."
" It's sad, but true." Jade blushed a little.
" I see," The man smiled, seeing that they were starting to loosen up. He didn't like to see kids fear him they had no needed too. " So would you like me to call you something different from your normal names?"
" Call me Jaden," Jade said.
" And me Jade," Jaden smiled sweetly.
" Alright, and I will not tell you're mother. What you tell me and these four walls, stays with me and these four wall," He said. " My name is Dr. Andrews, I'm your father cousin, so call me Jay if you like."
" You're dad's cousin!" Jaden exclaimed.
Jay chuckled. " Very much so, he knew what your mother was trying to do, and arranged this."
" Man, our dad's one smart mother fucker!" Jade grinned evilly.
" That he is," Jay smiled back. " Mind if I ask questions?"
" No," The twins said, knowing now that they could trust this man.
" Alright," He smiled. " So you two feel like you were born in the wrong bodies?"
" Yes, sir," Jaden was the first to speak. " But mother doesn't like it and tries to make us wear...things we don't wish too. Dad let's us be, he understand.... Mom.... didn’t want us, and still doesn't. I feel that her and Grandma Clare are going to hurt brother, and dad!" He was on the edge of crying. Jade quickly handed him the box of tissues that were on Jay's desk.
" Here, sis, don't cry," She smiled, trying to cheer her up.
Jaden sniffled and nodded.
Jade looked at Jay. " When my sister and I were about five we overheard mother talking to that whore on the phone..."
" By that whore you mean your grandmother on your mother's side?"
" Yes,"
" Okay, continue you," He smiled.
" Thank you," Jade said polity. " We heard her saying that she wished she never had us, that she would have done what she was told and had an abortion."
" Did you tell your father this?"
" Yes, I did when he was helping me dress for our first day of school," Jade sighed. " He wasn't very happy, and he tried to tell me that mother still loved us, but I didn't and will never believe that."
" It's so wrong..." Jaden cried. " Why does she hate us!"
Jade jumped at her brother's sudden burst of tears, and then took him into her arms.
" Please, don't cry," She shushed him gently.
" But it's so...wrong. We never did anything to her!" Jaden shouted, crying even harder than before.
Jay looked on as Jade tried to calm her brother so he could answer questions, but seeing the what was happening he didn't need anymore questions asked. He knew what he was going to do to help the twins out. What their mother and Grandma were doing was wrong. He hated to see children thing that their parents hate them just because of the why they feel, it was stupid in his eyes.
" Jade, Jaden, I'm going to call your father with your permission of course," Jay said kindly.
" You may, and make him get that son of a bitch out of our lives," Jade shouted in rage. " I'll never forgive her for what she's done! I hope she rots in hell!!"
" B-brother gets upset when I cry over mother stuff?" Jaden said, he was the kinder side of the two when upset.
" It's alright, it's totally understand able. Can I ask you one more question before I let you calm down, so your mother won't think something’s up," He smiled at them.
" She already thinks something’s up I can tell you that much," Jade growled, holding on to her brother tightly, trying to calm herself. How much she wished that she could take a frying pan to her mother's head. " Go ahead and ask, I doubt that it's crossed her mind before...or the thought crossed ours."
" Alright," he said, not dwelling much on the ' crossed ours' part of her statement. " Hey you ever thought that your mother would hurt you or your father?"
" We don't want to believe she would, but our hearts tell us otherwise," Jade said in a more polite tone, having calmed most of her rage, yet it was a little harder for Jaden to calm down.
" I see, thank you, Jaden and Jade. I'll let your father know what you've told me," Jay smiled at them. Jade nodded, her face was emotionless now, and Jaden gave him a weak smile of thanks.
Jay took them to their mother, who was suppose to be in the waiting room, but wasn't. This upset Jay very much, yet he tried not to think that she would up and leave the twin. He hoped that she just went to the bathroom.
He looked down at the twins, and Jaden looked very concerned. Jade's expression was still emotionless, yet her eyes had the ' go figure' sparkle.
" Maybe she just ran to the bathroom," Jay said with an encouraging smiled.
" No, Dr. Andrews, she didn't run to the bathroom," The elderly woman behind the glass window said.
" Then where is she Mrs. Sterling?" Jay asked her, trying to push down his sudden feelings of hate and rage.
" Well, Dr. Katze came in, and she told him that you took the children, and he said that he would give her free session," She told the door.
" What is Dr. Kazte's office room number?" Jade asked out of nowhere.
Jaden looked at his sister, knowing that her thoughts were very angry, and that she was planning to go find their mother right when the Mrs. Sterling gave her the office room number. Yet would Mrs. Sterling give his sister the number? She didn't seem to like their mother at all, so maybe.
Mrs. Sterling offended wondered what Dr. Katze and their mother did in their sessions, all she knew is that he wasn't talking to her. Seeing that the twins hated their mother just as much as she did she would give Jade the number.
" It's right across from the bathroom down the left hall to the right," She answered her.
" Thank you very much," Jade let go of her brother's hand and quickly raced down, and found the door she was looking for. Danny had taught her some fighting moves in turn for helping him with math. Knowing something of fighting, and being strong for the true girl she was she kicked down the door as if it were nothing at all.
What she saw shocked her, along with Jaden and Jay, who were standing right behind her.
Mari was butt-neck on Dr. Katze, who was naked himself. He was on top of her, thrusting deep within her, listening to her call out his name. Yet the pleasure didn't last that long when he said Dr. Andrews and Mari's children right there. He was stunned to the point that he couldn't speak to let Mari know that they had company.
" WHAT THE HELL YOU BITCH?!" Jade shouted in a husky voice that caused their mother's head to turn and look at them. " WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!!!?"
" J-Jade, it's not what it looks like," Mari said, pushing Dr. Katze off her. She grabbed her clothing, and quickly dressed.
" N-not what it looks like!" Jade screamed. " You fucking bitch don't give me that shit!!!"
" Don't talk to me like that, Jade, just wait until I te----"
" TWO THINGS!!!!" Jade shouted her. " ONE MY NAME IS JADEN, AND TWO YOU'RE NOT TELLING FATHER A FUCKING THING BECAUSE HE'S KNOW GOING TO KNOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN CHEATING ON HIM WITH THIS MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!"
" Excuse m---" Dr. Katze started to say.
" NO! YOU STAY OUT OF IT!!!" Jade shouted, fighting back tears. " YOU CAUSE MY MOTHER TO HURT MY FATHER AND US! I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE FUCKING SEES IN YOU, YOU'RE SMALL!!!!"
Jade was breathing heavy from shouting so much, and shaking from rage. Trying so hard not to attack her mother and her little prick of a boyfriend. She hated them both so much.
Jay and Jaden were totally stunned by Jade's out burst and her vocabulary not to mention the fact that they just cause Mari doing the nasty with Dr. Katze. Jaden couldn't even remember seeing his sister this angry, and it scared him a little. Yet he had to get his sister out of here before she really did something irrational that could get her in a lot of trouble. Jay could see Jaden's worry, and that Jade's rage was growing with each passing second that she was in the room. So he took their hands and started to drag them out.
" C'mon guys, I'll take you home," He said kindly, surprised that Jade went willingly with him.
" Wait, you can't take them!! They are my children!" Mari shouted, going after them.
Jay turned and glared at her hatefully. " As of right now I want you no where near the twins or my cousin, Alder. You got that." With that he walked out the door with the twins, and into his Jeep.
Mari just stood there, so many things went through her mind, and so many emotions played across her face. She knew that she was going to loss her husband and her kids. She could deal with losing her kids, but not her husband, not Alder. If only he hadn't been spending so much time with the kids and leaving her out she wouldn't have cheated.
What have I done, she thought as she fell to her knees in the middle of the hallway.
Jay was pretty much speeding to Alder's house, as much as he hated to tell Alder that his wife what cheating on him, he had to get there and fast. He didn't like that fact that he was putting Jade and Jaden in a bad position as well with everything that was going on. He wasn't using how it would affect them in the least.
Jade and Jaden were in the backseat of the Jeep, either spoke. Jaden was leaning on Jade, resting his head on her shoulder. He hated what he saw. He thought his mother loved him, his sister, and his father. What he'd seen showed him that he was very wrong; that bother new thoughts to his mind. What if his mother was poisoning him, his sister, and his father? What if she was, would they all die? He shuddered at the thought, hoping that he wasn't right about that. Jade on that other hand was glad that his mother was cheating on her father for one reason only. If she was cheating on him then he wouldn't want her in house anymore, and then there would be no chance for her to hurt Jaden, Alder, or her. Jade smirked at the thought of her mother finally being gone and in a loon bin.
Jaden saw his sister's smirk. Sometimes he hated that his sister hated their mother with a passion, then again who could blame her. She always knew that their mother didn't care; yet he was so naive as not to believe her. He should have listened, then it wouldn't hurt so much, the trust wouldn't hurt so much.
He buried his face into his sister's shoulder and started to cry a little. He didn't really like to cry in front of others that much, but the pain was just too much.
" Jade?" Jade looked at her brother, not surprised that he was crying.
" Mm.." He groaned.
" Please don't cry, Jade," She told him. " Everything will be okay."
" Jaden, I think that will take a while," Jay said looking at them from the rearview mirror. " For everything to be okay that is."
" I understand that, but I don't like to see my sister cry," Jade said, not meaning to have attitude with him.
Jay understood it though, and didn't call her out on it, or even get mad at her. He was the same way with Alder. Him and Alder were very close when they were kids, and still are. They just didn't see each other as much as they used to. Whenever Alder cried, he would snap at anyone when he was trying to comfort Alder. Jade reminded him a lot of himself.
She'll go for with her attitude, just hope it doesn't get her in trouble. He thought as he pulled into the twins' drive way. There was no sign of Mari or Dr. Kazte’s car.
Alder walked out the house. " Jay?"
" Yo, Alder!" Jay smiled, opening the backseat doors for the twins and they came out. Jaden ran to his father and hugged him tight.
" J-Jade? What's wrong?" Alder said, hugging his son as he cried more.
" M-Momma did something bad, dad," He cried, looking up at his father. " She did something bad."
" Fucking bitch," Jade murmured, walking into the house. She was going to take her pocketknife and stab into her pillow.
" Jay, what happened?" Alder asked his cousin, and best friend. " I thought that Mari was going to bring the twins home."
" Alder, I think you need to sit down for this," Jay said polity.
" Jay, just tell me now!" Alder demanded, and Jaden tighten his hug.
" Mari is cheating on you with...her shirk," Jay sighed, hating telling him.
" Thought so," Was all Alder said before leading Jaden and Jay inside the house. Alder sat on the couch, and had Jaden in his lap. " Please Jade, don't cry anymore."
" But...but she hurt you! She hurt brother she hurt me! She lied!" Jaden cried harder and harder with each word, until his nose started to bleed.
Jay handed Alder the tissues so he could stop the bleeding.
" Jade, please, your nose is bleeding," Alder said.
" I-I'm sorry...." Jaden sniffled, tasting blood in his mouth. He hated the taste, but he had to calm down. " I-it just hurts."
" I know, sweetie, I know," Alder held his son close, wishing to cry himself, cause it hurt him so much to see Jaden cry. Plus the fact that one person was the cause of it, one person that meant so much to the whole family. " Shhhh" He said, rubbing Jaden's back, and rocked back and forth a little.
Jay looked at them. " What do you think Jaden is doing?"
" Stabbing a pillow with a knife," Alder, and Jaden said in unison. They really couldn't stop Jade from stabbing the pillow with the knife, as long as she didn't stab herself it was okay. Yet Alder worried if she was hurting herself in such a way.
Jade came down the stairs, as Mari came running in the door. Jade didn't say a word to her mother or anyone else. She just took a seat on the couch to watch what was going to happen.
" Alder, what ever they said it isn't true!" Mari shouted, glaring at Jay.
" Get out of my house," Alder said coldly, glaring at her.
" What?" She said, stunned that her husband was telling her to get out of her own house.
" You heard what I said, Mari," Alder set Jaden aside, and stood up. " This is not your house anyways, I paid for it, and everything in it. For so long I put up with your mother, and family hating me when I did nothing to them. I put up with you spending my money on useless things. I put up with you ignoring Jade, and Jaden, well no more! Get the fuck out of my house, and stay away from my children and me. It's so fucking obvious that you don't give a damn about them just because they are a little different. I should have known that you were going to be like your mother, conceded and hateful towards anyone who was a little different."
" How dare you?" Mari growled at him.
" NO! How dare you!" Alder shouted, rage coursing through his veins. " You hurt our son! Look at him!" Alder pointed to Jaden, who was still crying his eyes out as Jade held him close. " He loved you, and he thought you loved him back. He wanted nothing more then to make you happy, but you showed him that you don't care about him. I will not stand here and let you hurt our son like this ever again! You've cause damage to him, our daughter, and god knows who else. So get the fuck out of my how or so help be god I'll call the fucking cops."
" You can't kick me out!" Mari smacked him across the face.
Jade let out a growl, and glared at her mother. She had almost pulled a gun out of her back pocket. Jay, Alder, and Jaden looked at Jade in total shock, and back away from her.
" You don't ever hit my father like that," Jade said coldly. " Now get the hell out or you'll be rotting in hell. The choice is your."
Mari looked at Alder, and saw that he wasn't going to defend her this time. She was no longer wanted by her husband or her children. But she had no one to blame but herself for this, and she knew that. She had listened to her mother's every word, and it had been her down fall.
She turned to the door and started to walk out. Knowing that she would never see her children or Alder again, yet she didn't really care. She would see her children in hell anyways.
Jade sighed, and lower the gun once her mother was out the door and gone for good. " That was interesting."
" Where did you get that gun, brother?" Jaden asked his sister, still not going to near her with that thing still in her hand.
" Oh, this is fake," Jade smiled, pulling the trigger and all the came out of water. " I found it in the attic one day when dad and I were cleaning stuff out."
Jay laughed aloud. " Now I remember that little water gun. Alder, you used to love that thing. Remember when you threaten to shoot one of the teachers, and she didn't know that it wasn't a fake."
" Yes, I remember that day well," He smiled, and then looked at Jade. " Thank you, sweetheart."
" No problem," Jade smiled, she was proud of herself.
" You scared me!" Jaden whined and hugged her tightly.
" Sorry, sis, didn't mean too," Jade chuckled, and hugged him back. " Mother wasn't going to leave the house unless I did that, plus she hit father. I wasn't going to take that shit."
" I see why Alder worries that you'll get into fights at school," Jay smiled at her kindly.
" No one messes with me really," Jade, said, no expression at all.
" Yeah, that's because you glare at everyone other than Danny, Xavier, Izzy, and Anna," Jaden said, starting to tease her. " You're in love with Danny too."
" I am not!" Jade shouted, and gave her brother a light shove away. " It isn't like he'd go out with me anyways. I'm a guy, and he's a guy. It would be weird."
" So!" Jaden giggled, hiding behind Alder.
Jade smirked a little. " Well, you really can't talk about me, Jade, because you're in love with Xavier. You never leave the poor boys side."
Jaden blushed and buried his face into his father's side. " That isn't true."
" Yes it is," Jade teased, walking up to her brother and poke his side playfully.
Jaden jumped at the poke, and whined. " Stop it, Jaden!"
" No, you started it," Jade chuckled, as the started to play fight.
Alder and Jay chuckled, watching the two. They really were cute. Jay know knew why Alder bragged about them non-stop. The twins were very smart, kind in the own ways, and so lovable. He didn't doubt that they could get their crushes to fall for them no matter what gender they were.
