Hello everyone. I'm putting this break in because I got a review that stated a very good point. I haven't really described what the characters look like besides the main character, Kazuyuki. I guess I was too busy building the story to realize ^^,. So I'm going to take this time to List the current characters/locations and brief description about them.

Locations:

 

Morinaka - This is the Country where everything begins. This name is completely made up. It is made up of mori 森: meaning forest and naka 中: meaning inside/within. In other words its name means Within the Forest. I believe the name is self-explanatory to the environment in this country.

 

Fuuta - This is the village that Kazuyuki and his family live in. This name is also made up. Fuu 風: means wind and ta 田: means rice fields. This name would be something like windy rice field. In this village and well as any other village in Morinaka, they grow a lot of rice and then trade it with other countries. Most of the time each household will have a small to large-sized farm land. The Soumas, Kazuyuki's family, are a well-known and well-off family so their farm land is rather large.

 

Characters:

 

Souma Family:

 

Souma Kazuyuki - He is the main character of this story. At this current time Kazuyuki just turned 15. He's about 5'2” with short spiky-brown hair with green eyes. Kazuyuki is not very well liked in the village mainly because his fourteenth birthday came and went without a Shikigami coming to him; the villagers feel is a deep shame. A Shikigami did finally come on his fifteenth birthday. Kazuyuki is the youngest of four siblings.

 

Souma Haru - Haru is 17 years old. Kazuyuki looks a lot like him, only Haru hair is browner and he's about 5'5”. Haru also has a scar running across his cheek from a hunting incident when he was young. Haru is the third sibling of four.

 

Souma Mika - Mika is 19 years old. She's about 5'3” with long black hair and hazel eyes. Kazuyuki heard from his brothers that there was a possibility that she might be seeing someone in the village but nothing is confirmed as of yet. Mika is the second sibling of four.

 

Souma Hiro (Hiroshi) - Hiroshi is around 22 years old. He has short black hair with hazel eye that turn more green during the summer. It is known that he's courting a girl named Akemi from the village. The others usually have a debate of their own about when the two might possibly get married. Hiroshi is the first born of the family.

 

Other Characters:

 

Sanosuke - Sanosuke is a member of the village who dislikes Kazuyuki. He's about 15 years old, 5'6” which is tall for a 15 years old. He has short red hair and blue eyes. Not much else is know about Sanosuke besides he hangs around with Kana and was present when Chise came to Kazuyuki.

 

Kana - Kana is also a member of the village. At the beginning of the story Kazuyuki had a crush on her, it's not known yet if he still does or not. Kana is about 5'0” with long blond hair with brown eyes. She usually hangs around with Sanosuke, and was there when Chise came to Kazuyuki. Unfortunately she also ended up getting on the bad side of Chise.

 

Shikigami:

 

Chise - She is a strange Shikigami who only has male partner when usually Shikigami pick a partner of the same sex. She can also be a little temperamental at times. Her true form is the powerful Phoenix. In her human form she has very long bright auburn hair that at certain light looks red. She also has amber colored eyes and stands 5'8”. She's had a hard past fighting an enemy who they don't name and losing her partner during the battle. It appears that she was sealed in the end and only woke up when Kazuyuki summoned her.

 

Akihito - He is Haru's Shikigami partner. He has yet to make an appearance so not much is known about him at this time.

 

Mine - She appears in the first chapter. She is Mika's Shikigami and treats Kazuyuki as if he was her own brother. She's about 5'6” with long green hair that she wears in a bun and has bright blue eyes.

 

Kane - He makes the most appearances a little above Chise. He is Hiroshi's Shikigami. He is viewed as being very wise and seems to have been alive for a very long time. He's the one most people come to for advise.
