Juugan was downright uppity about his next fight, ready for more. As he walked back to the street he found the wreckage of the boiler missing. “Strange as it is…might as well keep going.” He walked through an alleyway to see the same boiler on the other street away from where it should have been. “Must have been a fight after I beat that werewolf.” He saw a girl come out to the boiler and start searching inside it. “Now where is that bag…Rellik-butt is always so careless.”

Juugan came up behind her and smiled. “So what's a non-combatant doing in a place like this?” The girl with a cat-like tail squeaked and jumped into the wreckage. Juugan laughed heartily. “Please, I don't eat family members. Cat's don't give a nice taste anyway.” The girl poked her head out to see the fox-man. “Oh, sorry, I'm not a-.” Interruptions abound. “I know, not a competitor. So why are you here?” She climbed out of the wreckage with a bag. “I'm getting the side bag for my friend. He's hurt in the subway, and I'm bringing him something to bandage up those hard to heal spots.”

Juugan looked at the boiler. “So who threw this boiler?” The girl pouted. “Some asshole guy with a bird. I swear he and Rellik are pretty square, the guy threw a fucking train at my friend!” That got Juugan's attention. “Wow. So what's your name?” The girl bounded back through the building she came from. “Del and yours?” Juugan walked beside her. “Juugan, And this Rellik is what?”

Del smiled. “A vampire.” Juugan got that much and looked outside. “So he's in the subway for protection from the day time?” Del turned and nodded. “I'm just thankful he's alive.” There was a hole in the ground and Del was going around for the ladder when Juugan just grabbed onto her, and jumped down. Letting her feet touch the subway tracks. Del blinked and looked to Juugan, only for him not to be seen anymore. A slight crash sound and talking behind her began and she saw Rellik holding Juugan's throat to the wall.

Once Juugan had landed he saw a flash of green eyes lock onto him and rush him. He ducks his chin down and allows to be carried and hit against a wall. Rellik is staring crazy at him. “What are you doing here?” Juugan kicked Rellik away and got on his feet again. “I was in the area, and was going to see about opponents, only to find people in need. So Rellik, keep away and get fixed up. I brought Del down here faster then the stairs, so sue me!” Del latched onto Rellik and pulled him down. “He's right. Now sit down and let me take a look at that.”

Juugan sighed as Rellik stopped… for now anyway. He looked around. “So is there an exit besides up there?” Pointing to the hole. Rellik shook his head. “That way is blocked off due to a train and rubble.” He shrugged in the direction behind him. “Damn guy was as hard as rock.” Juugan looked that way and then back at Rellik. “So you're telling me your opponent could beat you?” Rellik scoffed lightly. “Not likely, but he was a challenge.”

Juugan walked towards the wreckage. “Guess I'll go see who this guy is before finding a good opponent today.” Rellik carefully examined this were-animal, trying to figure this stuff out for himself. It was a stretch to believe everything had entered, himself, even that guy with the bird. Seemed like super natural's came along quite early in this damnable tournament.

Juugan got to the wreck caused by what seemed to be a small quake coming through this part of town. He pulled back a fist and concentrated his energy, focusing a glowing punch to the debris and making a tiny hole to fit through as to not disturb the vampire. He looked back. “Take care, and if we meet again, bring your best.” Del looked at the now vacant light at the end of the tunnel. “Why I attract weirdoes is beyond me.” Rellik sighed, knowing another session from Del would start...

At the subway station Juugan looked around to see a man sitting in a pile of rubble, and he had a bird with him. “So you're the guy those two were talking about.” The man lay unmoving…silent. “Hey dick-head, wake up, it's morning.” Still the silence grew. The bird though, kept checking the surroundings, but nothing more then that.

Juugan stepped up to the man and bent down to look at this guy more carefully. “Hey you sonnavabitch, open those damn eyes of yours and give me a fight.” Juugan sighed as for a while, nothing had happened at all, as if this guy was a statue. He got up and started to walk away, whistling a tune, when a voice came from behind him.

“Going someplace?” Juugan turned to see the man dusting himself off. “I thought you'd have better manners then this.” Juugan smiled a sinister grin. “Well if it isn't the dawn of the living dead. You didn't even breath before, now your awake and ready.” The man took a sample step forward. “Tell me, are you human?”

Juugan shrugged lightly. “I would like to think myself as `Anthro-furry', also known as a were-animal. But you can call me whatever you like. What's your name then?” The man giggled out his enjoyment. “Karl's my name, killing's my game. I've yet to kill three of my recent opponent's due to unforeseen circumstances. So it would FRIGHTFULLY! Be a shame to lose this match as I did with that damn Vampire.”

Juugan shuffled his feet. “Well you won't get the chance, asshole. If anything I'm your strongest opponent yet.” Karl grinned in glee. “Wonderful! I do like a challenge.” He turned to his bird on his shoulder. “Give me some credit Arma, I know exactly what I'm doing. Besides, my energy is restored… Oh come now, it isn't all that bad last time! If it wasn't for the vampire's changing abilities, I'd have killed him easy!”

Juugan sighed. “You gonna talk to your bird all day, or are we going to get square here.” Karl smiled sinisterly at Juugan and held Arma on his arm, only for the bird to change shape into a small axe and grabbed by Karl. “Let's go!” Karl's speed was fascinating of course, reaching Juugan in seconds, but even swinging Arma around couldn't be slow enough, as Juugan ducked down at the last second and jumped out of the way, seeing Karl slam Arma at the spot he was at just a second ago.

Karl smiled in playful cheer. “Your mighty fast, I'd say, but you said you were strong!” Juugan clapped his hands together and roared as his energy encompassed him. His energy was wild as his animal instincts took over, but his plan still very much human. He speed towards Karl at lightning speed, disappearing in the blink of an eye, only to kick Karl in the back and into the wall, pretty deep. His energy started to dissipate as well.

Karl thrust himself out of the wall and wobbled a bit on his two legs before turning and, with Arma in hand as a sword this time, sped himself to Juugan, and slashed Arma around to cut this animal in two. Juugan didn't stand for it, but this speed was quicker then Karl's last run, and so Juugan was cut, but only a minor scratch in the shoulder.

It was time, or so thought Juugan, for a medium attack he never used before. Learned from his father, he praised himself in learning it for this instance…

Flashback

Juugan's father was the most ruthless fox in the forest, even an idol pet for the Amazonians, learning the techniques of humans so he could be stronger too. Juugan's father one day decided before a war broke between tribes, he would teach his son to defend himself, and be even greater a legacy then himself.

Father had smiled at his tall son, proud to have raised a grand noble of the land, and first of his kind. “Son, one day I will not be here to raise you any longer, so I will teach you my skills, one by one until you can do them yourself over and over again. Remember your energies, for they are key to your power… Let us begin…”

Father had taught all the simple survival skills, from climbing the steepest hill, to having the sharpest claws to cut even rock. They were called simple skills for a reason… So the father began the higher skilled training, called it medium skill level, and said it would be the trump card if anything simple was no longer working.

“Now listen, my son, for I will only tell you this one time… This technique is only to be used if your odds of winning are slim at best...”

End Flashback

He knew his chances were slim at best now that this human's speed was greater then before. He jumped up into the air out of the subway, crossing his arms over his face and body. Karl chuckled before blasting up out of there as well; trying to catch Juugan before any damage could be done. Juugan and Karl kept going up, as high as the buildings before Juugan stalled in mid-air. His eyes sprung open, from being closed and energy began to flow around him. He spun himself like a top as Karl closed the distance between them, Arma in hand.

Karl smirked as he saw his chance. “Game over!” Juugan spun downwards slightly and his body began to top, just before cart wheeling itself just the right way. His foot stuck out and started to swing down as his body rolled forward. “Not with the momentum of speed and spin I just produced! It's only just begun if you're as tough as Rellik said!” As Karl was a split second from cutting Juugan to pieces, Juugan's heel came down and slammed the man incredibly hard, all the energy built up to counter the jump's raising strength and reverse it ten fold.

Karl gone head first into the ground of the street, stuck at the moment as Juugan landed gracefully on the street. He looked at Karl carefully, smiling wide. “Having fun yet?” Karl pulled and pulled until his head finally popped out, rattling lightly as he showed signs of dizziness. Karl shook himself awake and stood, turning to Juugan with s crooked grin. “I see you've been holding out. Shall we have more fun?”

A second of gusty winds, and Karl and Juugan both slammed into the other, grappling to make the other submit to their will. As they fought the other's strength, Juugan's thoughts turned. “Incredible strength all of a sudden, he seems to be gaining stronger just as I am, so he must be just like me, testing his limits. It would seem he's made of stone, or at the very least some type of resin material, this isn't skin of flesh I'm feeling here. I must finish this soon!

Juugan's energy roared around him as he gathered it, controlling it to make him stronger so he could deal another powerful blow. This fox had more aces up his sleeve then anything else. Quickly he grabbed hold tight and pulled back, and with this unsuspecting move by Juugan, Karl's body followed in a tipsy form, unbalanced. Juugan grinned as he lifted his locked arms, and raised Karl in the air, only to slam him into the street in a flash of energy, but was far from finished…

Juugan saw a machine of sorts over the subway station, and spun Karl in his lock for a second, only to throw the statue into a metal beam, cracking part of the statue Karl's back. Karl hit the ground only to stand a moment later, but very shaky, as if hard of standing. Karl chuckled lightly with a skeptic glee, but also worried, face. “You're fast, and strong, just like you agreed to me! That damnable vampire wouldn't have stood a chance against someone like you, and yet I feel like your not even showing your real strength yet! Goody me to see it!”

Karl sprang himself to action, being in front of Juugan in a split of a blink, and ramming a fistful of power into the fox's gut, throwing the back into a building, and through, for the building to come collapsing around. Karl stood tall, shaky like hell as his scarred eye closed from strain. “Once again, I believe I reached my limits… But thankfully we know I can go on for this long, if I disperse it in small bursts. Oh don't give me that backtalk, I'm dong fine! There's no one here who can destroy me, let alone hurt me. We'll take a break later, we must find a safe place or someone would actually kill us before we are back to normal.”

Just before they could speak another sentence, the collapsed rubble burst upwards, and what fell in front of them was Juugan, slightly bleeding, but still able to fight it would seem. Karl chuckled nervously at the sight. “Well that's not good.” Juugan didn't hear it; he could only hear the sounds of himself, his energy, his past. He could only hear his father's voice…

Flashback

Juugan had knocked over several tree's in a single stroke, but his body could hardly take the strain and so he fell on his back. His father loomed over him, smiling. “Very grand my son, very grand. You may rest, but before your eyes shut I must tell you this final skill you will learn.” Like he's done so far, Juugan listened to every word from his father, knowing it would be important.

Juugan nodded and allowed his father time to speak. “You may not know this, but the reason your mother is not with us, is because she died, giving birth to you. It wasn't because of blood loss, but because of the hidden strength within you. The day you were going to be born, your mother smiled, ready to have a child like yourself. But you see, it isn't a fox like me, your mother was, but a Human. We found each other, and it was a grand time. But the thing is, being part warrior fox, and part Amazonian, your true power's as a berserker came the day you came from your mother.”

Juugan knew what a berserker was, he had seen many humans suddenly become more powerful with rage and just like the animals, use it to win battles. “But father, what does this have to do with my training or my mother?” Father had smiled a sad smile. “Because son, you have the blood of a berserker, and you used it to tear from your mother's belly...” Juugan's eyes went wide in fright, imagining such a terrible act…against…his own mother… “Oh no…Please father say it isn't so…” His father turned away with tears in his eyes, nodding his answer it was true.

It took two days for Juugan and his father to talk things through, and find out it was the mother's wish to die by her son's hands. After everything settled in the home Juugan trained with his father in the art's of the berserker, growing stronger with every push, growing better with every day. He had learned everything by his father, and would use it if need be. It was time to go berserk!

End Flashback

Juugan's eyes opened upon Karl, blood red and angry. His fur stood up slightly as his muzzle grew rabid, fangs sharpening and growing as he growled to himself. “More I hurt, more I anger, more power I grow. Must SMASH!!” Juugan grew into a raging beast of a man in the blink of an eye to Karl. “Well I guess this pussy isn't going to give us anything. Your right might as well go all out.”

Karl punched Juugan in the gut, lifting him in the air. “I guess your not so tough now are you? Hm?” Juugan's claws raised and clamped inside the stone of Karl's arm, before ripping it off. Karl shouted in horror, only to have a claw slam into his chest and ram him into the ground, but Juugan's rage did not subside, as he dragged Karl through the street.

Juugan saw the Boiler from earlier, and jumped, picking Karl in the air in front of him, and spinning wildly before sending a good kick into the clawed target he made earlier, and sent Karl through the boiler. Karl hit the ground hard and tried to get up only to have a foot crash his skull into the street again, but in an angle to make him fly down the street.

Juugan didn't stop, not for a moment, as he kept up, trying to smash Karl to pieces. Juugan felt his Berserker state becoming suddenly weak, so he used the last of his strength for one last round. He roared high in the sky and made Karl get kicked in the back, breaking the back of the statue this time, but it did not stop Karl from being thrown into steel wreckage. Juugan was on his knee's feet from the wreckage. He panted as his berserker state was gone. “I've done it this time... I think.”

Indeed, but not likely, as the wreckage was lifted by Karl. When he jumped out though, it would seem he was more beaten up then should be. One arm was missing, and so was most of his torso. Karl shook uncontrollably. “That was interesting to say the least... But I've yet to show my true skills here! It's time for you to die!!!”

Karl grabbed the blade Arma and started to swing at Juugan, as he tried to dodge with all his might. Karl laughed the whole way. “What's the matter!? Running out of steam!?!?! Let me show you how it's done!!” Juugan's chest was slashed a little too deep for comfort, but he kept trying to dodge and block the blade, rolling, jumping high, spinning and trying to counter his attacker any way possible, but Karl just wouldn't stop!!

Juugan's knee was bloody, His left arm unusable now, and a few teeth got cut out of his mouth… He didn't stand a chance it seemed. He closed his eyes and tried to remember his training… “There's one last skill I was taught, but it's risky… If I use it incorrectly I'm finished! I'm sorry father, but I must use it!” Juugan sighed a deep breath before standing, shakily on his hurt leg. Karl laughed in horrible happy feelings. “I've never had to do this to anyone! I must congratulate you on a job well done I believe! Too bad you're going to die, I'd LOVE to fight you again!”

Juugan smiled. “Too bad you're going to no longer fight at all… This is my last skill…I hope your well enough to fight me again!” Juugan's energy once again encompassed him, but this time wildly around him unlike ever before, breaking building's and metal machinery around them, not stopping. Karl was slightly fearful of this power, and decided to finish this once and for all!

Karl tried to run to Juugan, but suddenly found that even with Juugan standing still, he got farther away with every step. Karl could feel fright, feel death looming as he was about ready to die, but knew he had to stop this! He ran his fastest, trying to use the rest of his energy to kill this animal, but saw even he couldn't find it plausible. Juugan stopped raising energy around him, but the second he did, he was behind Karl, and slammed him into the ground.

Karl bounced from the ground and when he did, he was thrown into the air, only a foot as he was once again thrown into a metal beam, almost broke in half. Juugan was there and ripped his arm off trying to slam him into the beam again and again and again. Karl felt his legs almost rip as Juugan used the last of his strength to throw Karl all across the city, no longer having anything to do with that resin statue. Juugan stood there, eyes closed, and panting for breath… It was finally over.

He smiled and tears were shed as he looked to the sky. “Father… I won…and I used the skill gracefully…Thank…you.” And with that Juugan fell to the ground in a faint.

Across town, Karl was broken badly; smiling in so much glee it was unreal. “Well Arma, it would seem we found a worthy opponent, just like we wanted. Now it's time to get fixed and fight to the end. I do so hope he doesn't die though, I'd rather kill him myself. Oh come now, we both know I didn't stand a chance, even if I used all my energy to destroy him I'd still be lying here like this.”

Karl closed his eyes and waited as Arma picked up pieces, and started to rebuild Karl, stronger and better. “This day just got better...
