Creepy:Cute:Shy

Rumi had no friends. Who wants to be friends with the weird girl? She didn't care. There was only on man she loved.

Rumi stared dreamily at Shinta. He winced at the sight of her.

“Please… tone it down some,” he said.

“What do you mean down?” she asked.

“The staring,” he said. “People don't like that.”

“Even you?” Rumi asked.

“Yes,” Shinta said.

“Oh,” his fan said. She quickly looked away. Rumi never got the pretty boys. Every girl wanted them. She knew the truth otherwise. Three of her cousins were pretty boys. Shallow, using girls and throwing them away, ignoring the girls who really liked them, and being jerks. Rumi didn't trust pretty boys. A waitress walked up to their table.

“What can I get you to drink?” she asked.

“Water,” Rumi said.

“Juice,” Shinta said. The waitress wrote down her orders.

“Coming up,” she said. The waitress turned and left. Shinta turned his to his new fan. He smiled to himself. Yes, this would do.

Nearby, Ivy had just ordered her coffee. Now the festival was in Tokyo. She was here to catch Charm Inu and Lady Dragon in “the wild” so to speak. This would make her year.

Ivy happened to look up to see Shinta with a girl in dark clothes. She looked down on at her hands. He looked so smug. Ivy raised her eyebrow.

Hm? What is this? She leaned in close for a listen.

Rumi had never been in love. She doesn't know what it is. Just once. Just once she wanted to be wanted. Maybe, just maybe.

“Uh…” she said. Shinta eyed her with an eyebrow raised.

“Huh?” he asked. Rumi shook her head. The vocalist sighed and reached for her hand.

“Come on,” he said. “Talk to me.” He looked into her eyes. Her cheeks turned bright red.

“Uh… Uh… D-Do you have a girlfriend?” she asked. He gave her a gentle smile.

“No,” Shinta said. Rumi's face was bright red now.

“Oh…” she said. “Wow!” It would be too obvious to ask, but…

“You have a boyfriend?” Shinta asked. Rumi looked away blushing as she shook her head. Of course she didn't.

“You going to my show tonight?” Shinta asked. Rumi looked up grinning.

“Of course,” she said. He drew back his hand.

“Excellent,” he said. “I will see you then.” The waitress came back with their drinks. Fan and vocalist picked up their drinks. Rumi eyed him as she drank up. Meanwhile, the wheels turned in Shinta's head. Yes, she would do just fine.
