Disarming Feelings

Mai's face turned bright red.

“Isao!” she shouted. “What are you doing here?” Isao raised an eyebrow.

“I could ask you the same thing,” he said. The bartender was sweating.

“Please take her away. She scares me,” his eyes pleaded.

“Is she causing you trouble?” Isao asked. The bartender nodded once. Mai turned to him, glaring.

“Traitor,” she hissed. “Traitor. Traitor!” Isao grabbed onto her.

“Okay, that's enough,” he said. The female vocalist shot him a cold glare.

“You can look at me like that all you want,” he said. “You've had enough.” Isao started to pull Mai along. She howled as she tried to pull away.

“Hey!” Isao shouted.

“Let me go! Get off me!” she shouted.

“No. Come on,” Isao said. He tried to pull her along. Mai fought back growling.

“Help me out here?” Isao asked over his shoulder. The bartender quickly nodded.

“Right,” he said. The men had to haul a shouting Mai out of the club. She tried to scratch them with her nails. The bartender had to dodge at one point. Nevertheless, they got her out of the club.

“Come on. Work with me here,” Isao said in the hotel lobby. Mai looked at him, red-faced. How much did she drink? Mai chuckled. Isao rolled his eyes. Just like when Gary got drunk. He shook his head. I don't need this, the vocalist thought.

Isao dragged Mai to the elevator. He pressed the up button. Just get her to the room and leave. Mai leaned her head to his chest.

“Hey, hey,” he said. Isao shook on her shoulder. She glanced up for a bit. The woman laughed. Isao rolled his eyes.

The doors finally opened. Isao dragged Mai into the elevator. She looked like a dazed doll. Isao hit seven. They were on the same floor. Good thing. Less of a hassle to deal with.

The ride up was silent. Mai still clung to Isao. He sighed and rolled his eyes. How did it come to this? He didn't want to think about. So much for a night to himself. Now, Isao just wanted to sleep.

He dragged her down the hall. Isao paused as he heard murmuring.

“Hm?” he asked. Mai lifted her head with a drunk cat smile. Her rival rolled his eyes.

“What?” he asked. Mai giggled.

“I -hic- want to say something,” she said. Isao rolled his eyes.

“Yeah?” he asked. Mai stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. No warning. Just a big sloppy kiss. Isao didn't know what to do. He should've done that. He really should've.

Mai hung onto his lips for too long. Isao gently had to pry her off.

“Whoa there!” Isao said. “You've had too much to drink.” Mai smiled up at him. Her rival shook his head.

“Listen,” he said. “I'm going to take you to your room now.” The other vocalist smiled and laughed.

“Room! Yay!” she shouted. The vocalist pumped her fist in the air. She broke down laughing. Isao puffed up his cheeks and frowned as he shook his head.

It took so much effort, but he finally did it. He knocked on the door.

“Coming,” a voice said on the other side. Isao waited with bated breath. He looked up when the door opened. Subaru peeked out from the crack.

“Yeah?” she whispered.

“Could you help me out?” Isao asked. The door opened wider.

“Here,” she said. The guitarist took Mai by the arm and led her into the room. Isao pushed her along. They let his rival fall onto the bed. Isao nodded and walked out of the room. That was enough for him for one night.
