Chaotic

-Mai-

I refuse to play their game. I'm not a pawn. My uncle still doesn't get it. Hence why I am on this dinner date with, you guessed it, Isao. This is another dinner date. Second one to be exact. Why do they keep doing this? I sat in my chair and sighed.

“Why do they keep doing this?” I asked. Isao shook his head.

“I have no idea,” he said. I looked at him and sneered at him. Honestly, I can't blame him. We're trapped in the same boat. We are the dolls in this shitty dollhouse. My uncle was forcing us to kiss. I had a good idea as to why he was doing this.

I took another sip of wine.

“Hey, easy with the wine,” Isao said. I glared at him.

“Why do you care?” I asked. He looked nervous as he shifted in place. I narrowed my eyes.

“What?” I asked. Isao nervously laughed.

“Last time you got drunk…” he said.

“What?” I asked. his cheeks turned bright pink.

“You kissed me,” Isao whispered. I about spat out my wine.

“What?!” I shouted. I ignored everyone staring at me.

“Yes,” he said.

“You're lying,” I whispered. Isao sighed and buried his head in his hands.

“I wish I was,” he muttered. My soul sank. I put down my glass.

“Oh god…” I mumbled.

“Was it that bad?” Isao asked. I lifted my head.

“What?” I asked.

“The kiss,” Isao said. “Was it that bad?” I froze and blinked.

“I mean, I don't remember what happened,” I said. “How can I say something is bad when I don't remember it?” He nodded a bit.

“True…” he said. I said nothing. What was happening? I… I… I need a drink. No, that's what landed me here in the first place.

“And this isn't a joke?” I asked.

“No,” Isao said. I sat back in my chair and cursed myself.

“Need some water?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said. He put up his hand.

“Waiter!” he said. I sat there. This can't be happening. This… This… I rubbed my forehead. I want to go home.

No. That's not what I really want. I… I… I don't know anymore. How long was this date again? Damn it. Isao talked to the waiter for a moment. Then said waiter left. I forced myself to smile. I was going to make this work.

“Are you feeling okay?” I heard Isao ask. I smiled at him.

“Fine,” I said. “I'm fine.” I took a drink of water. The waiter came back with our appetizers.
