A/N: Hi again. Sorry about the wait. Normal life troubles have kept me away from updating any of my stories. But anyways, I'm back. So here's the next chapter. Please R&R! Thanks!
“So, what did you get for question one?”
“Umm… I'm pretty sure I got B,” Aiko answered.
She had just finished her test and was now standing outside comparing answers with one of her classmates, Devon.
“Really, are you sure?” Devon asked.
“Yeah, pretty sure,” Aiko confirmed.
“Man, comparing answers with you is totally depressing,” he said dejectedly. “Either I'm right or you're right and we both know who that's going to be.”
Aiko patted him on the back. “Cheer up Devon, who knows we could both be half right.”
He smiled at her attempt to cheer him up. “Thanks Aiko. Hey do you want to get a coffee or something?”
“Oh, actually I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up right now,” she said apologetically. “But, can I take a rain check.”
He brightened visibly. “Sure, sure thing.”
Just then a car pulled to the curb. “Well there he is…”
Devon glanced at the driver of the SUV and was instantly shocked. “Is that Tony Nieminen?”
“Uh yeah,” Aiko answered tentatively.
“Man, he's my favorite Oiler! Do you think you can get me his autograph?” Devon asked excitedly.
“I can try,” she answered, as Tony got out of the car and came around to meet her. “Hi.”
He brushed a kiss across her cheek causing her to blush slightly. “Hi. Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah, but first this is my friend Devon,” Aiko introduced.
Tony took Devon's hand and shook it. “It's nice to meet you,” Tony said politely.
“You're like the best player from the Oilers and the best goalie in the league!” Tony exclaimed. “Can I have your autograph?”
Tony smiled and good naturedly said, “Of course.”
Aiko watched on as Devon held up his backpack for Tony to sign, which he happily did.
“Thanks man. This is totally awesome!” Devon said happily.
“You're welcome. It's nice meeting you, but Aiko and I must go now,” Tony told him.
“Oh, yeah sure. Have a good day!”
“Bye Devon,” Aiko said.
They got into the car and Aiko immediately said, “Thanks for doing that. He's a huge Oilers fan.”
“No problem,” Tony assured her. “He seemed like a nice guy.”
“Yeah he is,” Aiko agreed. “So… where are we headed?”
“There's this great restaurant I know. They serve the best Italian food you've ever tasted.”
“Sounds good, lead the way!” Aiko said enthusiastically.

“That's hilarious,” Aiko laughed. “But I'm one hundred percent sure Ray wouldn't like you to telling me that.”
“That's ok, we all tell stories about each other,” Tony replied.
Their laughter died down and they suddenly sat in silence, with Tony watching Aiko and Aiko watching her surroundings.
Aiko looked up when she heard Tony sigh. He looked puzzled and she waited to hear why.
“Are you and Matthew serious?” he asked her.
“Oh, um…” she was definitely not expecting that question. “I don't know.”
“You don't know?” Tony asked slowly, the quizzical look still on his face.
“Um well…” she started, hesitating.
“Because I like you a lot,” Tony blurted out.
“Tony…”
“Listen Aiko, I'm willing to wait, whatever you decide,” Tony admitted.
Aiko was confused; she knew she just wanted Matthew, only him. But she wasn't sure if Matthew felt the same. She knew she should have straight out told Tony that there was no one else for her, but the look on his face told her he'd be really hurt if she did.
“Can I have some time to think?” Aiko asked. “I'm not sure about a lot right now.”
“Of course, of course. No pressure,” Tony replied eagerly.

“So, Tony seemed very happy when he left,” Mrs. Tanaka hinted to her daughter.
Aiko cast a weary glance at her father who was reading the paper before answering. “Yeah he's a happy guy.”
Mrs. Tanaka knew from her daughter's answer that she didn't want to talk about this in front of her father. “So, how was your test?” she asked instead.
Aiko smiled gratefully, as her father put the paper down to listen. “Oh the test was great. I think I did fine.”
“Good, good,” her father said, going back to the paper.
“Well I'm going to my room now,” Aiko said walking out of the kitchen.
About to go into her room, her mother stopped her, “Wait Aiko.”
Aiko turned around, barely holding back her annoyed sigh. “Yeah mom.”
“I like Tony and Matthew seems nice, but how can you be with both at once?” Mrs. Tanaka asked.
“It's called casual dating mom,” Aiko said flippantly, annoyed that her mom was right on.
“It's not casual dating when your heart is thrown into the mix. I know you care about both of them. I want you to be careful, that's all,” she answered.
“I will mom.” But Aiko realized her mom was right, Sarah was right. She had to make a choice. And she knew who that would be. She just had to do it. “I'm going to go out.”
“Where are you going?” Mrs. Tanaka asked, surprised.
“The Oilers have a practice right now,” she told her. “And I have to see Matthew.”

Matthew was not a happy guy that day. Practice was over and he was sitting on the locker room bench waiting for all the happy people to leave.
His gaze fell on one person, Tony. Tony had been pretty happy coming to practice, coming to practice after his date with Aiko. And that pissed Matthew off.
One by one the guys left the locker room, each one throwing him a curious stare and a quick bye.
Finally, after the last guy left, Matthew started for the showers, all the while thinking about one thing, one person.
Aiko was his and no one else's, was his fierce claim that kept popping into his head. But he couldn't really say that, Aiko wasn't anyone's. Despite how much he felt for her, how much he needed her, how much he l-- he didn't let himself finish that thought-- he hadn't asked her if she wanted to be an exclusive couple. The stupid person he was, he should have asked her that the minute he had met her.
He stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around his waist. He desperately wanted to call her his girlfriend but he was scared she didn't feel the same.
As he walked back to his locker he was acutely aware that he wasn't alone anymore. There, sitting on the bench, was Aiko waiting for him.
When she saw him approach in only a towel he was very aware of the blush that tinged her cheeks. She was so cute, he thought. But what was she doing there?
“Aiko, hi,” he said lightly, really wanting to engulf her in his arms and never let go. But he wasn't sure if this date with Tony changed things between them.
“Hi,” she stood up. “Some of the guys said you were still in here… umm they let me in. I hope that's ok.”
“It's fine. I just didn't expect to see you today, you know how busy you are,” he said dully, trying to mask his many emotions.
“Oh,” she said blandly, not quite expecting this reaction. “Oh, well I just came to-“ She cut herself off. Why did she come? She wasn't sure. But standing there in front of him, she knew that she might be losing him and she couldn't let that happen.
“Aiko?” he said, confused.
A second later she made a decision. Closing the space between them, she pressed her lips to his in a gentle kiss. But it was clear, right away, to both of them that gentle wasn't what was on their minds. The kiss deepened, became more passionate, hungrier. Their arms encircled around each other and Aiko could feel his still damp skin under her gliding fingertips. She wanted more, he wanted more, but she had to find some things out first.
She managed to pull her lips away from his momentarily. “Matthew… Matthew we need to talk.”
He kissed her lips once, twice before they sat down on the bench.
“Tell me this date with Tony meant nothing to you,” he said eagerly, his eyes full of hope.
She wasn't sure before, but she knew now that Matthew felt the exact same way about her. Tony was just a friend.
“Nothing,” she murmured. “It meant nothing.” He pulled her to him hugging her tight. “He's just a friend.”
Matthew leaned back. “Why'd he look so damn happy when he got here?”
He noticed the instant guilty look that overcame her face. “I wasn't sure there was an us…”
“There's definitely an us,” he stated quickly.
“I know that now. I wasn't sure before. I gave him false hope,” she said sadly. “Now I'm going to hurt him. I suck as a person!”
Matthew took her hands in his. “No you don't. You're a great person. And now you're my girlfriend.”
Aiko smiled widely. “I'm your girlfriend?”
“If you want to be.”
“Only if you want to be my boyfriend?”
“Definitely,” he simply said, kissing her softly.
