Authers Note: Sorry to anyone that might have actually been reading. Im backish and im going to try and get something done with this story. I had writers block for a while and last all my files a while back. So if some stuff doesnt add up sorry. A little reminder my spelling and grammer are terrible so sue me. (not really) Anyway on with chapter seven: winter holidays are over back to classes.

The majority of the girls winter break involved reading and listening to music. Blair showed Lilly to all of her classrooms several times so she wouldnt get lost when classes started up. Being set in her ways, Blair continued to jog every morning and go to the gym everynow and then.Lilly remained mute, only understood by Blair. As the holiday drew to a close students started to return to the school and the teachers were all informed of Lillys incapability or unwillingness to speak. When Julie came back to school she was enraged to see Blair and Lilly eating quietly in the lunchroom. Not only was her beloved 'Prince B.' eating in public, which she never did, but she was also eating with another girl! Julie got her food and came to sit beside Blair, she said,

"Oh! Prince B! I am SO glad to be back I missed you while I was away!"

Blair blinked and Lilly looked at Julie then at Blair

<i>'Do you know her? Who is Prince B?'</i>

Blair replied in an icey monotone

"Julie this is my roome mate, Lilly this is Julie, President of the 'Prince B Fan club'"

With that Lilly and Blair stood, Lilly nodded to Julie and followed Blair to tray return then out of the lunchroom and out into the hall. Julie flushed with anger. This new girl was stealing away her Prince. That simply would not do. When they left the lunchroom blair and Lilly went back to their dorm to get jackets and boots on. Then they headed out to walk in the snow a little bit. Before too long it would get warmer and the snow would melt. When they were outside and alone Blair explained

"When i first came here i was nicknamed Prince B. I really dont like it but some people are just set in their ways. Julie is the president of said fan club, and to tell you the truth the girl drives me crazy."

Lilly giggled a little and Blair pulled her close and nuggyed her smaller friend gentally,

"Hey you wouldnt find it so funny if you were in my shoes!"

Because Blair woke up early everyday she didnt have a problem with classes starting. Even Lilly wanst that badly off because she woke around when Blair would return from the showers. However when the two girls walked into their homeroom they were greeted mostly by groggy classmates. Julie however was awake and the moment she saw Blair enter the blond attatched herself to the red heads arm. Blair held back a growl and continued to her seat beside Lilly. Lilly just gave Blair an amused look as Blair rolled her eyes. Julie saw this and wined

"Prince Beeeeee. Why arent you talking to me? Why didnt you talk to me the other day in the lunch room?"

This time Blair growled but Julie was saved her retort as the tardy bell rang and she had to go to her desk, on the other side of the class room. Thankfully. Blair sighed and looked at Lilly who still looked amuzed. Blair made a mock angry face at her friend then grinned. Julied balked at Blairs grin. Blair grinning was simply unheard of. she was supposed to be cool and collected, not smileing. The teacher, who also looked groggy, called role and looked up for the half raised hand to put a face with the grunted 'heres' When she came to Lillys name she raised her hand high for the teacher to see. After Role call their home room teacher went about talking to the class about one thing or another until the bell rang sending the students off to their next classes. Blair and Lilly had homeroom, history and english togeather. For first block Blair had math while Lilly had science. Blair walked with lilly as far as she could before running off to her own class.

To her dismay Blair had Julie in her math class and they sat relatively close. The red head was usually grateful for a seating chart becuase most of the time julie was put away from her. Julie started the class pestering blair asking how she could just bearly make it to class when they both knew where the classroom was. blair ignored her and listened to the teacher as he explained his class rules. number one of which was NOT to talk while he was talking. Julie got after school detention for continuing to try and talk to Blair.

Lillys' Science class was alright. she really liked her teacher and she expected to have fun in the class. However that feeling of welcome she got from the teacher was dulled by her classmates trying to make her talk to them. She sat and listened to her teacher then did the work sheet in slince while the other students chatted about what they had done durning the break. One group, not far beind Lilly whispered,

"I hear Prince Bs' room mate is a mute."

"Yeah i heard that too."

"I bet shes a freak."

Lilly did her best to ignore the girls but it still hurt her feelings, That thye would talk about her behind her back. Yeah she didnt talk but that didnt mean she couldnt hear. By then end of the class she couldnt help but project her thoughts to Blair

<i> 'Our next class is togeather, right' </i>

Blair thought back

<i> 'Yeah, is something wronge?</i>

Lilly replied back just before the bell rang

<i> 'No i was just makeing sure.'</i>

The girls met up less than halfway between their classes. Blair had hurried to meet Lilly just to make sure she was okay. She patted her friend on the sholder and said.

"Off to History, lunch then English."

Lilly put on a fake smile trying to hide how she really felt about her classmates that had been talking about her in class. As they walked off to class the girls, mostly Lilly, got daggers glared at them by the fan club. How dare this stranger come in and change their Prince, was the shared thaught. Again for History the girls were set side by side, which made it easy for them to communicate without drawing the teachers attention. History was boreing and passed ever so slowly, however when the bell for lunch hour rang Blair and Lilly where the first out of the class. Blair walked quickly and weaved her way through the other students. All lilly had to do was keep up, and in no time blair how plowed through a short cut in the snow and they were in the lunchroom getting food and hurring up to their dorm. When they finnally stopped lIlly was short of breath.

Blair sat on her bed dropping her bag and pulling out her books and changeing them out. She took a bite of one of her many grilled cheese. then said,

"You sure you dont want to jog with me in the morning? Its easier to run from class to the lunch room then haveing to wait to avoid the crowd and get the left overs."

Lilly gave Blair a skeptical look and Blair snorted,

"that or you could just take your time and meet me here and i'll get food for the both of us?"

Musical laughs filled Blairs mind as Lilly smiled at her. Blair couldnt help but to smile too. They finsiehd their lunch while listening to Hello Goodbye then went off to their English class. Yet another class passed uneventfully until Blair heard the whispers behind her. She caught Lillys name on an off chance and turned her attention to the group. she gritted her teeth at what they were saying and planned a little "come to god" meeting for those girls. When the bell rang Lilly packed her things and waved to Blair who stood at her desk eyeing the group of gilrs behind them.

"Meet you after fourth?"

Lilly nodded as Blair followed the girls from the class and into the nearest bathroom. They were the first to the bathroom so blair blocked the door and said in the icey tone she was known for, her eyes on her feet

"If I ever hear you talking about my friend is such a manor as i did today, you lot will wish you had left her
alone."

When she finished talking she looked up at the girls grouped around the mirror a moment before turning and leaveing the bathroom. Her class and Lillies where just two door apart so when Blair jogged down the hall she looked into Lillies creative writeing class and gave a small wave before sprinting to Mrs Browns painting class. she smiled at her teacher and said,

"Hi Mrs. Brown."

She then went to her desk and waited for the middle aged woman to start teaching. For once Julie didnt but her, the blond had learned her lesson the semester before. That and she already had a detention for after school. Mrs. Brown got right down to busness and they started right away. That was how Blair liked it. She had really only missed two classes and Mrs. Brown and Blacks' classes where those two. They had done exersises to get back into the groove of things for the entire period. When the bell rang Blair was out of the class with a small wave to the teacher and stood waiting outside Lillies class. She smiled when her friend appeared but frowned a little at the other girls lack of smile. Lilly didnt even notice Blair waiting until the taller girl poked her in the side. Lilly jumped and almost fell but Blair caught her with ease.

"Hey how did you like your class?"

Lilly shrugged as they made their way back to the dorms. both girls dumped their books and changed into sweats. Ironically they were both uncomforatble with their bodies so they changed in their respective closets. When Lilly floped down on her bed Blair came from her closet and asked

"So how did you like your first day to actual classes? Not to tramatizeing i hope?"

Lilly looked up at Blair from her folded arms then sighed and put her face back into them. she wasnt going to cry but she was upset. Senseing this Blair stood and sat beside Lilly. She rubbed the girls back gentally and rested her chin on the mattress beside her.

"Hey if anyone is bugging you let me know and I'll take care of it. I told you i wouldnt let anyone hurt you remeber? and that means emotionally as well as physically"

Lillys sholders where tense so Blair rubbed them gentally, and as she did Lillys breathing came irregulare and it dawned on Blair that her young friend was crying. Unsure if it was something she had done or said Blair frowned and said

"Oh Lilly. Im sorry i didnt mean to make you cry, I'll just leave you alone."

Blair moved to leave but Lilly caught her hand and held it. Blair sat beside her friend and gentally rubbed her back until Lilly calmed again. She wasnt sure why but it hurt to see Lilly cry, but it hurt more thinking she was the cause of those tears.

"you hungry?"

Lilly shook her head and Blair patted her back

"Im going to go get some food, I'll be back as soon as i can okay?"

Blair did indeed hurry, she collected food for the two of them, thanked the lunch ladies and hurried back to her dorm. Jessica stopped her for a moment and asked

"So how was her first day?"

Blair answered,

"I heard some girls talking about her and i have a feeling more were cause shes pretty upset."

Jessica nodded and said

"Well i heard some of the girls talking too, they are pretty jelouse, the ones in your fan club mostly, cause you two are close."

"Well they will just have to deal then wont they."

Jessica nodded and shooed Blair on back to her dorm. Blair did as her dorm head instructed and set food aside for Lilly. As usual she got food that would taste fine cold. Lilly still lay on her bed when Blair looked at her. With a sudden erdge to make her friend smile Blair pounced and tickled Lilly. This set the smaller girl into a fit trying to squirm away from Blairs fingers. as she tickled Blair said,

"I'm not gonna stop till you smile for me!"

the musical laughs filled her head again and Blair hugged lilly a little before saying,

"Alright you. Eat a little bit at least, im still trying to get some meat on your bones."

Lilly did as asked then curled up with one of the Anne of Green Gables books before falling asleep.

so what did you guys think? for being so out of practice i think it turned out okay.
