Chapter 1
”Hurry the heck up you slab of meat,” the vampire Antech says to his cohort and lover, Cross, a female zombie.
The setting was they where at a cemetery at night with a full moon near the city of Mentamar in this world's year of 1711 with these two doing a little shift work. Or mostly Cross.
“Could you go any possibly slower for crying out load? Damn, I hate full moons. Never know when a were-creature is going to pop up picking a wild fight. Hurry up! I don't want to be chow of some stupid werewolf you sack of skin and bones!” Antech yells at her and then finally loses his patience with the situation and throws one of his throwing daggers at Cross's back to speed her up.
She may have been dead but the dead still feel pain as of there shadow essence life-force. So it hurt. Ah lot.
“Ow! What in the name of Darsu's Caves did you do that for? And I had just got that fucking skin healed by a shadow potion. Bitch!” Cross yelled at him pissed off and he yelled back at her, “I said hurry up you stupid excuse for a feeding bank! And don't forget who the boss here is. It's not MY fault that when I drained you of almost all your blood in are passionate frenzy of sex and then giving you my blood and instead you turning into a another vampire your this. I still don't get how that ring saved your life. A Ring of Reliving is supposed to revive the person upon death to full order. I guess the transformation altered the rings magic when they both went to work at once. And now you're like a ghoul but also a zombie. I don't know what to call you but an un-living zombie. Now get that corpse up. I'm hungry.”
“I am too but I don't see you lifting a finger,” Cross said to him.
“You know I'm look out. Are you done yet?” Antech asked her.
“Yes now let's eat. The hunger pains in my stomach are becoming unbearable.”
The so the two had a fresh dug up corpse they had watched on its final days and just been lowered into the ground a day ago. It was in fair condition. They ate the flesh and cracked and stuffed down the bones. Antech let Cross eat the dead heart while he gnawed at the brains. But as soon as they finished there feeding frenzy they realized they where not alone. Antech smelled both what seemed to be fur and also gun power. A very large black furred werewolf was walking towards them with a man behind him carrying a rather large and unusual shaped gun. The man had blond hair, fair skin, and a muscular build too. Antech got up at this point as the two men started to close in on the distance. Cross too was up when the men where upon them.
“So how's the weather monsters,” The blond man said in an ugly but smooth and mocking tone with word on the monsters part.
“Leave us be dark hunter,” Antech said in defense.
“And how did you know this creature of the night.”
“I get around. I've seen things and lived things in my mortal life. Not that I say your path is wrong hunter.”
“Funny you wouldn't even know you just called me by my name. I am Hunter. This is Slicer. Now will you come quietly to a cell for a painless execution or do we have to this the hard way.”
“I've always been a sucker for punches over laying still and dieing.”
“So be it.”
The werewolf jumps at Antech, who is mid-air tackled by Cross who lands on the wolf and starts putting him in vice like grips. For all he was worth it was hard just trying to get up from her tireless stamina and zombie death locks. The two other men where now staring at each other. Antech put his hand to his belt with one word, “Draw.”
Hunter drew first just as Antech suspected and with swiftness and ease uncommon of even large men he used the large weapon with one hand and used two short Vulcan like bursts with one bullet coming from a top camber and the next shot a bullet from a bellow chamber in rapid fire bursts. Antech had just dodged both burst with a short leap to the size and a throw of a dagger at the man's face. The man in a split second caught the knife with his free hand giving Antech time to think quickly.
“(Guys fast. Better hurry up and close melee distance,)” Antech said in his mind and quickly darted forward for the man with his dagger out.
When he got there the man again used his free hand and said two words, “Check Mate.”
Hunter grabbed Antech face with his free hand and Antech felt terrible white electricity go thundering through his body that was like be struck by lightning. The man let go as Antech started to fall to the ground. Antech somehow saw the trick used on him as he went out. The man had a silver holy cross imbedded in his left palm. That was where the pain had come from he thought to his self as he went out.
“Antech!” Cross yelled as she let go off her grip for a split second.
That was all Slicer needed. He slammed Cross's light frame forward on the ground and stepped on her neck with his large weight. Sliver Back was up now with her pinned down by his foot.
Hunter then says, “Well I guess I won't be needing you anymore…”
Slicer says then, “What you mean by…” And before he can finish his sentence Hunter has the cross hand on the back of his neck and he is white thunder fried out cold.
“Time to start the game,” Hunter says and pushes Slicer away from Cross and puts the cross to her screaming face.
After that done he talks to himself. “Weird zombie. Looks like a zombie but acts like a ghoul or living undead creature. Zombies are not suppose to think or even speak but moan. And how did she get so far from the island of Canoes? A strange one at that. Maybe a souvenir will help me figure her out. A pinky finger will do,” He says and pulls off her left pinky finger and puts it in a bag on him.
He next pulls three black orbs out of his bag. “Good thing I carry a good amount of Body Orbs in my Bag of Carrying or it would be hard carrying these three bodies back to the crypt in time before the sun would come up. Hate to have my experiment go up in dust on one and turn to bone on another.”
And so with a throw of the three black balls he collected the three bodies in the orbs and put them in his bag and went back to the crypt.
Once there he put the vampire and zombie in a cell together that was specially designed for undead next to another cell with two others and put the werewolf in a cell next to the vampire and zombie.
“Sleep well my friend. No hard feelings,” He mumbled to himself and left to do some work.
