Preface
It all started fifteen years ago. The date was August 13, 1994. I was two years old. It was a cold and rainy night. We lived in the country, in a small house. My mom had put me to bed. But for some reason I wasn't tired, I lay awake in my crib looking at the strip of light that ran across my floor. The light came from my door that was open a crack. I remember a piercing scream and then I was in complete darkness.
The next day I awoke in a room I didn't recognize. I stayed in that room for a month. I remember that there were always people coming in and out feeding me, changing me and playing with me. Finally they released me to my mother's fiancée. When I was about four I was told that my mommy wasn't coming back and that she had died and went to heaven with God. When I was fourteen I was told that she had been stabbed to death, and the police had no idea who did it. I was also told that there was no evidence, no weapon, no fingerprints, not even a stray hair was found. The case file ended up unsolved. I had learned to live with that........until one man walked into my life and changed my perspective on everything I knew.
