That next morning at school there was a crowd around the board. I knew it was the cast list. There are only two things I really cared about on that list. First what part I got and second what part Natalie got. On the top the role of Juliet was Natalie and now I could only hope that I got Romeo. And sure enough under Romeo it said my name. I smiled and I almost shouted to the world… Wait! What was I thinking? This was all wrong. I am not supposed to be happy that I am Romeo in the play. I am not supposed to fall for Natalie either. She was the complete opposite of me and not to mention my brother Kevin had a rivalry going on with her older brother Alex.

 

“Hey Nick congrats on getting Romeo.”

 

“Yeah thanks same to you my Juliet.”

 

What was I doing!? I was flirting with her. When I said that to her she blushed to a bright red. I never had seen her blush like that before. Then again I never really got to know her. The way she blush I just couldn't help think that maybe she felt the same about me.

 

“I was wondering if you would want hang out sometime and maybe go over our lines. There is nothing better then the actors having good chemistry on stage and off stage.”

 

“What?! We have to take more classes of chemistry?” I said trying not to laugh myself.

 

She started to giggle. She was so pretty when she smiled.

 

“Wow you are a comedian too. You are just full suprises aren't we?”

 

“You have no idea.”

 

“ I should get to class. I will see you after school.”

 

“Yeah see you then… wait… would you like to sit with me at lunch?”

 

She blushed at this again and flashed signature smile.

 

“Yeah I would really like that.”

 

NATALIE'S POV

 

What is going on here? Nick Jonas was talking to me and being nice to me. We are from two different worlds. I am an athlete/ actress. He is a musician and part time comedian. And also his brother Kevin and my brother Alex hate each other.

 

But I just could stay away from him. He was just so gorgeous. When I would see him at the games my knees felt like they were going to buckle. Just he short conversation we would have like in class. It was more like two would sentences.

 

“Hey Natalie. I saw that you got Juliet… and Nick got Romeo.” My best friend since we were five Lily said.

 

“Yeah I know I am so excited!”

 

“and to think you guys have kissing scenes together!”

 

My face went pale. I had never thought of that.

 

“Crap… I never thought on that.”

 

“Don't worry about it… hey I saw Nick talking to you. What were you talking about?”

 

“We were just talking about going over lines together and hanging out together to get good chemistry.”

 

“I told that line would work… wait did it work?”

 

“Yes it did!… he asked me to sit with him at lunch.”

 

“Really!”

 

“Yes. I am so excited. I can't wait for lunch.”
