[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

In the past few weeks, Tom and Dani had moved on from the tender love-making of a new couple to a more passionate and pleasurable fashion; one that had the usually quiet Dani moaning, something that Tom greatly enjoyed being the instigator of.

He still found her refreshing, even after her sexual innocence had been thoroughly and pleasurably removed, yet she was still pure, whether in sweetness, devotion or lust. The sex wasn't as raunchy or rough as some of his sex had been, but he didn't want it to be.
She made him feel special, not just high from an orgasm, he actually felt peaceful with her, and the best part was that she stayed when they were done; she didn't jump out of the bed to dress and he never needed to kick her out like the one night stands he'd had, she always stayed, they always cuddled and he loved it.

She always put him first, whether in sex or in normal life, the only thing that took precedence over him was their daughter's needs.

Tom was beginning to wonder, that if she spent so much time caring for him and their daughter, if she ever had time to treat herself; she seemed to be constantly busy, whether cleaning, making food or taking care of either himself or September, and despite how much he enjoyed the attention he was feeling selfish and guilty.

He had a plan; he had thought of it the night before as he had enjoyed Dani's cuddling, his best ideas always came after sex, but the ingenious ones came after Dani.

He walked into the kitchen where the sounds of Dani's soft singing could be heard; he enjoyed her singing. It was soft and high like a lullaby, always melancholy and yet so joyful, sometimes it brought water to his eyes, though he'd never admit it.

She was busy at the stove, stirring something.

He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck where he knew it would make her shiver. "Whatchya doin'?" He murmured into her hair.

She turned her head to look at him a smile on her face, but a bitter sweet sadness in her eyes; happy to see him but still overtaken by grief.

"What?" He asked again softly and pressed his palm to her cheek to kiss her chastely on the lips.

"Nothing," she whispered and moved to kiss him again; wrapping one hand behind his head and the other snaked behind them to palm his ass in a possessive and mind numbing way that he found deliciously arousing.

"You sure," he spoke between kisses, and she moaned a response.

They were just getting into the moment when September's cry could be heard from the nursery.

Tom sighed and Dani moaned at the loss of his lips. "I'll grab her, you finish up here," he offered as he flashed a smile that promised fun later and left the kitchen to get September.

"Well, Septy, what is it now?" He spoke to his baby girl, calling her the nickname that had happened totally by accident, and picked her up as she snuffled on the verge of outright crying.

He laid her softly over his shoulder and chest to carry her to the change table; Sakiko's bassinet sat beside September's as a sort of grim reminder, Dani had refused to put it away, or even move any of her things; he had hoped that removing such reminders would help with the grief, but she seemed set on constantly reminding herself of what she had lost.

He sighed and lamented Sakiko, as he changed September's diaper; he hadn't even had the time to know his little girl before she had gone and it pained him, but he wondered if he was better off this way, he hadn't had the time to grow attached so maybe the pain wasn't as bad as it could have been.

He looked down at his surviving daughter and had to smile at her sleepy face.

Her eyes were only slits in her face and the opened and closed in a leisurely fashion and her little mouth was open and making sucking motions, but she seemed content. He found that she enjoyed his presence, maybe it was just his imagination, but she seemed to calm down and be content when he was near.

After he had changed her he laid her back on his shoulder and made his way back to the kitchen.

Dani smiled brightly when she saw him, and his heart skipped a beat. Never had he felt so weak-kneed in the presence of a girl, never before had his heart stuttered or his brain shut off so completely and yet he was completely at ease, like he belonged.

He knew exactly what to do for Dani.

He had a couple of phone calls to make.

*~~~*

Things had been going well for Bill; he had had three more lessons with Rin before she had said that, as long as he continued to practice, she had nothing more to teach him, and he had proudly swam in the lane for a full half hour the last three nights, proud of his proper strokes.

He had also spent a lot of time with Rin apart form the lessons; they had gone shopping in Wolmorstedt on a few occasions, Bill always coming away with something and Rin always saying that nothing really caught her attention.

Bill knew better, so he always offered to pay for lunch or to drive, and even though he always offered to buy the things that made her eyes light up, she always refused.

She was a bit of an enigma, but an endearing one none the less.

On one occasion, she had mentioned how she would like to have streaks in her hair, but was unsure of what colour, he had jumped in and demanded she get purple ones even to the point where he offered to pay for it all and she had eventually caved, Bill liked the results.

It was coming up on his third week in Loitsche and area, without Tom, without Dani, and he found himself enjoying it, enjoying one-on-one time with his mother, who he hadn't really known since he was fourteen, enjoying his freedom, but most of all enjoying his time with Rin.

Soon he would be heading back to Hamburg to record their new album and he felt the pressure of time crowding him, every moment was like precious sand granules running through the neck of the hour glass, adding to the mountain of already used time and shortening his time here, at peace, with Rin.

He was driving Rin back to her 'house' when his phone rang, and he let go of the wheel with one hand to reach his cell phone form the dash, frowning when he saw Tom's name flash across the screen.

"Hallo?" He answered after flipping the phone open and turning the speaker phone on.
"Bill! Where the hell are you? You sound like you're in a tin can!" Tom's voice boomed over the tiny speakers, almost making it sound like he was in the car with them; Bill frowned at his brother's greeting.

"Well good day to you too!" He scoffed, "and I'm on speaker phone, driving," he gave as an answer. "Why are you calling?" It felt weird talking to his twin after almost three weeks without speaking to him once, he was both excited and apprehensive.

Rin sat quietly in her seat, trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, but intrigued none the less by the person in the phone, who sounded so much like Bill, and yet different.

"Oh! Yeah," Tom replied, pausing for a moment, "look, I know we haven't talked for a while, I'm sorry for not calling man…" he paused again, then. "I'm sorry for kicking you out."

The car slowed to a stop at the side of the road as Bill processed what had just happened. They had never really apologized to each other before, they usually just agreed by unspoken consensus that everything would be okay between them, it was a twin thing.
"O-okay…" he finally answered. "I'm okay, mom's okay, how are you and D-Dani?" He cursed himself for stuttering over Dani's name, especially with Rin in the car, he turned apologetic eyes to her, but didn't move to turn the speaker phone off.

"She's okay… we're okay… it's… different… I miss you… but that's not why I called," Tom laughed self-deprecatingly, "I know I'm a fucking he-dick man, but I need a favour," there was another pause and then, "…. it's for Dani."

Bill sighed. "What do you need Tomi?" He asked in a voice that was so emotionally multilayered that Rin despaired from ever completely understanding it.

"I need you to come home." The reply was so soft that Rin had trouble catching it, but by the way Bill leaned his head on the steering wheel she knew he had heard perfectly clear.

With his head still resting on the wheel he reached for the phone, turned off the speaker phone and placed it to his ear. "Why?" Once again his voice was so laden with emotion, this time sad, that it confounded Rin.

Bill had always come a cross as a bouncy happy guy, but whoever had phoned had put his happy mood on hold, if not whipped it out completely.

They talked for a little while and then Bill shut the phone before turning to her with a sort of half smile half grimace on his beautiful face and asked her a question she had not been expecting.

"Wanna go to Hamburg for the weekend?"
That was how Rin found herself, with Bill at the wheel, pulling up into the driveway of one of the most beautiful houses she had ever seen in her short seventeen years; it was a modern style house with huge windows and a huge garden, completely surrounded by high fences and trees.

Bill shut off the car, placing the key in the pocket of his white leather jacket and unlocked the doors, for Rin to climb out, she followed him to the front door in a daze only barely registering when the door opened to reveal a half dressed boy-man with long blond dreads.

"Oh! Bill thank God!" The boy called out throwing his arms around Bill and rocking them back and forth with the force of his lunge.

"Hey Tom," Bill murmured back before breaking the embrace and turning to Rin and introducing her. "This is Rin," he gestured to her and then to the boy, "Tom, my twin brother."

Somewhere in the back of her mind she somehow knew they were brothers, but twins seemed a bit of a stretch, yet as she studied Tom's face she saw too much of Bill for it not to be true. He held a hand out to shake hers and she lightly placed her hand in his and shook it softly, still dazed.

"Hi," he spoke in a voice only slightly deeper than Bill's confirming the fact of their twin-ness.

"Hallo," she mumbled back, blushing and feeling downright nervous.

They walked into the gigantic house and Rin was once again floored by the beauty and rich quality of the house.

"You, sure you'll be okay for the night?" Tom asked and Bill scoffed lightly.

"Sure, how hard can a three month old be?" Tom's face went blank and Bill 'uh-oh'd' in his head.

Tom almost laughed, but managed to keep a straight, if somewhat emotionless, face; he had thought the same thing when he had first come home from the tour, he had been so sorely mislead. He pondered for a moment if he should let Bill find out how erroneous that thought was on his own, but realized that the safety of his daughter would be at question if such an important thing was left unmentioned.

"I'll show you the ropes," he turned to Rin, "you're going to have to remember this, the only thing he's ever memorized," he gestured to Bill, who scoffed again, "is lyrics and I didn't have time to make a song of it," he joked lamely.

"The milk is in the fridge, you have to warm it up in the microwave for exactly twenty-nine seconds, then shake it -test it on your wrist to be sure it's not too hot- then you need to feed her every…" he paused, "well, about three hours should do it…" he scratched at his dreads, then realized what he was doing and went to put his hands in his pockets and seemed to realize he wasn't wearing a shirt.

He spun in a quick circle as if looking for something and then gave up, and went about showing Bill and Rin everything he could think of that had to do with September.

After a few minutes Dani came down the stairs holding a sleeping September, her face lit up when she spotted Bill.

Bill spotted her as well, and his mind froze, she was wearing a mid length black dress with a frilly asymmetrical skirt and fluttery sheer sleeves, her black hair was sleek and shiny and her makeup was done to perfection.

He went to gasp but realized his lungs were already full with the breath he'd been holding, and then she had passed September to Tom and was in his arms hugging him like he was her lifeline.

"Oh god, Bill…" she sighed into his chest, "I've missed you."

Tom felt an odd twisting in his gut, but he decided to ignore it, maybe it was just gas?

Rin experienced a similar twist but she didn't know how to describe it and it made her a little uneasy.

Bill on the other hand, had butterflies in his belly, cotton in his mouth and a strange tingling in his hands; the tingling went away after he remembered to breathe, but the cotton and butterflies stayed.

"I've missed you too, how are you doing?" He finally managed to say in a smooth enough voice, and she pulled away form him to beam up at him.

"I'm okay." Tears came to her eyes, but she blinked them away. "Thank you so much for coming, Tom really surprised me with all this, but…" she paused and blushed, "It feels nice to be pampered."

"Well, we should go," Tom interjected, passing September to a startled Rin and heading for the door, he was stopped my Dani's voice.

"Don't you think it would be best if you put on a shirt first?"
