Neron wanted to move with her as she pulled her hand away. "The answer...." He closed his eyes. "At this moment, my heart belongs to no one but you."

Mia smiled. "Is that a yes?"

"Yes," he told her. He couldn't testify to what might happen later. Everyone seemed convinced that he loved Elyssa, but at this moment he only knew what he felt about Mia.

She leaned down close to his face. "Then it's decided," she whispered. She hovered over him a bit before leaning down more and pressing her lips to his.

Neron massaged her lips with his, wondering what she had decided.

Mia pulled back after a few minutes and pressed her forehead to his while her eyes stayed closed and her hand caressed his cheek. "I'm going to do whatever it takes to keep you. Even if it means defying the Gods."

He smiled, trying hard not to laugh at her statement. "That will be easier said than done. I'm not some pet that you can simply hide away."

"I don't treat you like a pet, so don't refer to yourself as one," Mia said and pulled back. "I don't care what I have to do or who I have to kill. I'm going to make sure we win this war and I'm going to get my wish or I'm going to die trying."

"Yes master," he smirked as her sudden eagerness to kill. That was unexpected. "We will worry about our fate when the time comes. Right now I doubt I'll be doing any fighting for a couple of days."

She smiled. She started feeding him again. "If you see Elyssa again...will you tell her you love me?"

"If you want me to than I shall. I do not see any reason to keep it from her." He opened up and gratefully ate what she fed him.

"Good," she said smiling. "I want her to know who your heart belongs to...and, Neron...if something should happen...and we get separated...when you get summoned again...don't forget me." She smiled bigger. "That's an order."

He smirked and nodded. "I'll make a note of that. Though the gods get the final say on what I do or don't remember."

"Then I'll just have to get rid of them won't I?" she laughed. Feeding him the last bit she sat the plate aside. She moved next to him and laid down. "My face hurts," she laughed. "I think she took half my skin with her."

He chuckled at that turning toward her, he gently kissed her cheek. "If I could move my hands I'd take the wounds, but right now I'm pretty much useless."

"I'll manage. I will wear them proudly. I got into my first real fight and I kicked her ass. I'm pretty happy about that," she said.

"You're a very strange girl," he mused softly as he closed his eyes. "Very strange."

"Is that ok?" she asked as she looked at him while smiling.

"I'm still deciding on that," he said with a smirk without bothering to open his eyes.

"I'm going to bite you," she warned.

"No you aren't," he said as he tried to get comfortable. "There's not too many areas on me that aren't bandaged up."

Leaning over him again, she kissed him, pulling his lips into her mouth then biting lightly on it. She pulled back then licked his lip. "You sure about that?"

He moaned softly at the kiss, shuddering and cursing the fact that he couldn't move his arms. "Positive," he whispered with a smile.

Mia kissed him again. She kept nibbling on his lips and deepened the kiss with her tongue. After a few moment she pulled back. "I...want to apologize for yesterday. It was a confusing...complicated day. And I needed my heart to go into over drive to save you...."

"What all did you do with Keith?" No point being blunt about it.

"We kissed..." she said. "A lot..." She laid back down and looked at the ceiling. "Towards the end...he took it a little further."

"How much further?" He wanted to know just how much Keith defiled her when he was presented with the opportunity to do so.
Mia bit her lip at the memory. "He slipped his hand in my jeans."

Neron frowned at this. Considering it was Keith, he was actually relieved that he hadn't defiled her further. "Do you plan on making that a regular occurrence?"

"Yes, I plan on screwing him and you," she said rolling her eyes.

"Okay," he said with a smirk. "As long as he keeps his hands to himself he gets to keep them."

"I wouldn't have let him do it if you weren't in trouble. My heart was weak...I needed it go in overdrive so you wouldn't suffer."

"What about earlier in the day?" He had felt her arousal beforehand. He knew that something had been going on.

"He kissed me...and tried to do other things, but...I couldn't go through with it," she said slowly. "I thought about it, because I was in so much pain. But...in the end, all I could think about was you."

He hoped that was true. "Okay," he said after a moment. Turning his head toward her, he nuzzled her face. "What's done is done. I can't blame you for what happened."

She curled up next to him. "I'll try not to be so irresistible if you try to keep the psycho away from you," she whispered as she trained kisses over his next.

He shuddered as she kissed him. "That's not fair," he whimpered. "I can't do anything."

Mia smiled. "Then I will do both," she said and snuggled into him. "Hurry up and get better so we can have make up sex."

"Make up sex?" He smiled as she hugged him. "Does that involve the whips and chains?"

She laughed against him. "We'll see."

"Sounds promising."

Keith moved the door back and forth. "Seems good enough. How's the shoulder, Sophitia?"

Sophitia poked her arm. "Healed," she said.

"Good, because with Neron doubt for the count I want you in the best shape possible."

"I will not let you down, master," Sophitia said. She smirked. "So...you almost had sex with Mia?"

He groaned and covered his crotch. "Yes! I wanted it soooo bad! Then that Asian girl ruined it for me!"

"How far did you get? Plan on doing it again?"

"Barely got a good feel of anything," he sighed. "And yes! I have not yet begun to fight!"

"Just so you know, I walked by their room and heard kissing. Do you honestly think she will be that easy to obtain? Why is it that you want her so bad? Won't you just screw her and be done with it?"

"It's the one that I can't get that I want the most," he whimpered. "I want to have her all to myself."

"Like...forever or for a moment?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. I like her, I really do. I guess we'd just have to see what happens."

"I think you hate that she doesn't give in so easily, and yet, once she does, she will just become old news. Once you have her, you won't like her as much as you did the chase," Sophitia said crossing her arms. "I've known you a long time, and you have liked a lot of girls. As soon as you get the girl, you no longer want her."

"You make that sound like a bad thing," he stated, not liking her tone.

"One day, you might actually fall in love, and that girl will treat you just like you treat all the other girls. She will think of you as a one night stand. Who knows, maybe she will be like Mia and just not give you a chance at all."

He smirked and rolled his eyes. "Sure, whatever you say. So far Mia's been one of the few to reject me. If someone I love does treat me as a one night stand, I'll laugh it off and go from there."

"You are a very funny person, master. And very sad at the same time."

He shrugged and started for the kitchen. "I'm one of those live for the moment kind of people. I don't worry about tomorrow, I just live for today. It's worked well so far."

"Even that can only last so long."

"Well once I win and wish for immortality I'll go from there. No reason I can't figure things out after a century or two."

Sophitia smiled. "Living forever isn't everything, master"

"Yeah, but that's the only thing I'd know to wish for," he told her. "I mean, I have no relatives. No real lovers. Nothing to time to this time. Let's face it. So far the only constant thing in my life has been you."

"Mia's been a good piece of that. She relies on you a lot. And you have risked more than just your life to keep her safe and protected," she said as she sat down.

"True, but when this is all over, Mia won't be the type of person to stay. Depending on how long this war lasts, she'll go back to her family, finish college, and then go live a successful life. Me, I don't want any of that. I just want to live my life and enjoy it." Looking over at Sophitia, he chuckled and leaned against the kitchen counter. "It's gonna suck when you win. I don't think I'll be able to survive on my own. I don't cook. Plain and simple, and man can only live on take out for so long."

Sophitia looked him in the eyes. "Have you even bothered to ask her what she wants? You said so yourself, people change. It's going to be really hard for her to go back to her normal life knowing that she once was a master."

Keith sighed and poured him another drink. "Now is neither the time nor place for that," he told her. "Hell, I don't know what I'm going to do after all this is over with. She's convinced that Neron is going to win, so she would just say she's going to spend her life with him. She's not planning for his death."

"Are you sure about that?" Sophitia smirked. "Because I think you're wrong. And if anyone is bent on someone winning, it's you."

"Don't you want to win, Sophitia?" He smirked, knowing her answer all too well.

"Of course I do, master. But you talk as if there is no chance of me losing. At least I've heard her say that she might lose him. You on the other hand, swear we will win and without sacrifices."

He chuckled and got out another glass. Pouring some liquor into it he pushed it toward her. "I know there will be sacrifices. It's just easier to keep an optimistic attitude about all this. Keeps my heart happy, if not a bit delusional. Why else do you think I drown my sorrows in alcohol and hookers." He downed his drink and poured him another. "As long as you're strong and we fight smart, we will win; and I will get to keep my maid awhile longer."

Sophitia played with the drink. "Then what is wrong with Mia thinking that she could stand a chance as well, as long as it keeps her heart happy? Honestly, master, I think she would be a perfect companion for you. She would straighten you out."

He smirked and shook his head. "No woman can straighten me out."

"You say that, but I have lived a lot longer than you. Every man can be straightened out with the right woman beside him."

"Keep dreaming, Sophitia." He winked at her as he took the bottle and just began drinking out of it. Sighing at the taste. "Mia is special, yes. Would I do her? Obviously. Would I enjoy it? Tremendously. Would I ever be with her afterward...who knows."

"But you just said Mia was special," she said smirking.

"I'm special?" Mia asked coming into the kitchen. "Who thinks I'm special?"

She opened the fridge and started to find something to eat.
