"This is rather important ma'am... I need to speak with you," came a man's voice.
Sirius sighs and gets to his feet and tosses her a blanket after putting his pants back on.
"Cover yourself," he says.
She nods and wraps the blanket around herself.
"Alright, come in," she says.
The man opens the door and gives Sirius a nod before turning to her.
"Ma'am, we have ship on our port near the horizon line. She's not flying any colors... So we assume she's a pirate vessel," the man explains.
"Catch up to her immediately, I'll be out on the decks in a moment."
"Ay, ma'am." the man says, leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
She gets dressed swiftly, pulling on a pair of pants, her boots and slipping on a shirt that she just had to tie in the front, leaving her flat stomach in plain sight.
"It might be the Maiden," she says.
"I will know as soon as I set eyes on it," Sirius says, pulling a shirt over his head and tying his sword back to his belt.
She slips a pistol in her belt and walks out. Sirius follows her to the port side of the ship and looks to the horizon. Argus had joined him at his side and gave him a smile that said he missed him. Sirius returned the smile and looked out to the ship. After a moment, Sirius shakes his head.
"That's not my ship," he says.
She frowns and signals for the men to catch up anyway.
"I want to know what they are doing in these parts," she says.
"There are a lot of port towns in this area... So they may be pirating."
"I don't like them so close to my home," she hisses.
Sirius nods, he seemed to be gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Calm down," she murmurs, holding onto his hand briefly before going down and shouting orders.
The men all jumped to the task, going to their jobs without a second thought. Eventually, they caught up to the ship and Arianna was the first who seemed ready to bored it. Most of the men were at the ready shortly after her. Men, who were now visible on the other ship, were all pulling pistols from their belts and drawing the swords from their sheaths. Arianna drew her pistol and had someone toss her her own sword, one she had made for herself. Sirius was staring at the ship, his pistol and sword still in his belt. Arianna tied her sword to her belt.
"Why are you on these waters?" she shouted over to the other ship.
Hearing her, one of the pirates takes a shot at her. She didn't even flinch as the shot barely missed her and, with one motion, she had the crew board the other ship. The crew all piled on the ship and all hell broke loose as pirates were flung over the side and others were run through and shot. Arianna found the ships Captain and had him at gun point.
"Why are you on these waters?" she demands, her eyes narrowed.
"These are not your waters. We will sail them if we please," the captain says to her, his own eyes narrowed.
"These are my home waters," she hisses, "And you will stay away from their ports, or I will put a bullet in your head."
"We don't want the ports, we want the Maiden."
"Too bad, the Maiden is not for you to take, she is my ship."
Arianna only said that for Sirius's benefit, seeing as he wasn't with her.
"I beg to differ, the way I heard it, its former captain was a man, and is now a drunk in these parts."
"He's with me, and because of that fact, the ship is still his. Get out of here, and if you give me your word you will stay out, I won't put a bullet between your eyes."
"You'll just have to shoot me then missy."
Arianna smirked.
"The sad thing is, you thought I wouldn't do it," she says before shooting him, the sound ringing through the entire ship.
The chaos of the ship had ended. Most of the crew had been killed or taken as a prisoner, along with a few women the pirates were using as whores. Arianna walks out onto the deck and looks around, her eyes locking on one of 'her' men.
"Any of ours hurt or dead?" she asks, putting away her pistol.
"Just one ma'am. Round to the head," one says, pointing to a man on the floor.
"Alright, pick him up and-" before she could finish, a shot rang through the air and Arianna looked down, she had a bullet in her stomach and the blood was running down her skin.
Sirius sighs and gets to his feet and tosses her a blanket after putting his pants back on.
