Outlaw Star
Gene’s new adventure.

Chapter 3-The journey begins.
The Outlaw Star had been outfitted with a new navigational system, which was basically just another consol behind Gene. Jim sat there and did most of the work with Gilliam. But for Gene, it was no where near the same as when Melfina was behind him.

Gene sat in his quarters, once again trying to drown his sorrows in whiskey. They’d been travelling for 2 weeks to find where McDougall was going. He was heading for Sentinel 3, so Gene was trying to get there first and find out what McDougall was up to. But he had another problem also.

Since coming aboard the Outlaw Star, Gene had constantly been fighting, both physically and verbally with Teresa. She was one hell of a challenge. Women used to fall head over heels in love with him whenever he turned on his charm. But he wasn’t in the womanising mood, didn’t think he ever would be again. Just then, Teresa walked in to the room.

She took a look at Gene, and the nearly empty whiskey bottle. “So, this is how you drive the ship, half-cut.” She said.

“Listen, I don’t intrude on your…*hic*…private time…*burp*…so don’t bother me in mine.” Gene slurred.

“Gene, you’re so drunk, you can’t drive the ship. We’re about to land on sentinel 3, and you’re in now condition to land the ship.”

“You know…you’ve been a real bitch to me ever since we met…”

Teresa rolled her eyes and walked over to the intercom. “Jim, you were right. Gene’s drunk out of his mind. Are you OK to land the ship?” Asked Teresa.

“Yeah, I just wanted to see if he was sober. Thanks T.” Said Jim.

The intercom went dead. “ ‘T’, you’ve got a nickname now?” Said Gene, gulping down another whiskey.

“Unlike you Gene, the others have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome. They understand that I’m just doing my job bringing in McDougall alive.” Said Teresa.

“Now you see… this is where we have a problem…you won’t be bringing McDougall in alive. You’ll be taking McDougall in but it’ll be his corpse.” Said Gene.

He went to pour another whiskey, but Teresa grabbed the bottle and through it against the wall. “Don’t you see how much you’re hurting your friends! You’re so drunk that you don’t see what they’re going through!” Said Teresa.

Gene was still looking at the puddle of whiskey. “They lost Melfina too Gene! They want to see McDougall dead too but they don’t want to see you go to prison for it! You’re 1000 times better than that! I know you are!” She yelled.

Before she could react, Gene shot up and grabbed her by the throat and slammed her against the wall. “YOU DON’T KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT ME OR WHAT I’M GOING THROUGH!” He yelled.

Teresa kneed him in the groin and pushed him away. Gene crashed over the bed. Teresa slid down the wall and held her throat. As she struggled to catch her breath, Gene dove the bed and lunged on top of Teresa. As he tried to pull her to her feet, he grabbed her halter top as she pushed him away with her legs.

Gene managed to stay on his feet this time but the ripped halter was in his hands. He looked over at Teresa and saw she was wearing a strapless, silky black bra. Teresa noticed too, and put her arms around her front. “Don’t cover up on my account baby.” Gene slurred.

Gene in his drunken haze, kept staring at Teresa’s chest. “Gene, don’t look at me like that. Just give me back my top and I’ll leave. I’m tired of fighting with you everyday.” Said Teresa.

“Then don’t fight with me.” Said Gene, grabbing her wrist as she reached for her halter.

He spun her around and threw her on to his bed. Before she could get up, Gene was on top of her. “Gene, what are you doing?” She asked him, suddenly afraid.

“Something other than fighting.” He said, burying his face in her neck.

Teresa tensed up as Gene ran his hands down her sides. “Gene, stop it!” She yelled, scratching his chest.

Gene hissed. “You like it rough…huh…” Gene panted, reaching behind her back to undo her bra.

“No…Gene, please don’t!” Teresa screamed.

But Gene pulled down her bra and exposed her breasts. But he stopped when he saw Teresa’s face. She was crying. Gene hadn’t stopped to look at her face. Then, he noticed a mark above her left breast. It was the initials, RMD. “McDougall?” Gasped Gene.

Teresa turned her head away. Gene suddenly realised why she wanted to see Ron face justice. She was one of McDougall’s victims.
