The Eye
Stage 3
-Zero-
There's nobody here. Th quiet is making my ears hurt. I looked
around. I couldn't see anyone in sight.
“Hello?”
Nothing. Not a single answer.
But I am not alone.
“Who's there?”
The static sounds made my ears hurt. I rubbed my right ear as I
winced. My eyes began to water. When I looked around, my vision
became blurry. I felt like I was trapped in a narrow tunnel.
Footsteps ran behind me. I turned and no one was there.
“Hello?”
I think there's someone here. The air around me vibrates as I try
to move. My ribs feel like they are crushing into my sides. I can
barely breathe.
“Kizna?”
My body started shivering. When did it get so cold? The bright
lights hurt my eyes and head. There was that sound again. I sank to
my knees, covering my ears. I gasped as I silently screamed.
That's when I saw them.
Stage 4
Their feet didn't touch the ground. When did that… that…? The hair
moved and floated around like it was under water. The air around it
seemed to just up and down. The light reflecting off the pale skin
made my eyes sting. Every fiber in my being told me to run. But I
couldn't move. My eyes widened. I could hear my heart pounding up
to my ear drums. Was that creature moving around?
“Who… What are you?” No sound came out. I felt like I was trapped
in a vacuum. Where was everybody? Kizna? Hijikata-sensei? Anyone?
Someone?
But then, it turned its head. My stomach dropped. Its movements
didn't look natural. At first, it looked like an animated corpse
struggling to move for the first time. When did it get closer? It
couldn't have been a few seconds. They didn't even make a sound. I
couldn't will my body to move. It felt like something crushing
against my chest.
The creature was halfway towards me. By now, I got a better look at
this creature. At first, I thought I was staring at a girl my
age.
“Hello? Who are you?”
No answer. Despite the hair flying around in the air, the bangs
covered her face. The shine off of her skin really made my eyes
burn. It didn't help that she didn't make a sound. She would get
closer before I had a chance to figure out what to do. Then she was
inches from my face.
Those eyes. I couldn't see anything in them. The deep I looked, the
more I felt crushed from the inside. By the time I looked up again,
her face was inches away from mine. When I looked into her black
eyes, I could held violent screaming.
I thought I was going to burst.

-Outside-
Zero had to be rushed to the infirmary. He wasn't the only student
either. Kizna could only wait outside.
