She completes him.

Lance strokes Red's hair, cuddles her close. She blinks adorably bright crimson eyes up at him. He's affectionate, but it feels different this time.

“Mrrw?”

“I love you.” Lance assures her. She closes her eyes and relaxes in his arms. Of course he does. They've been in love forever and a day; and they'll keep on being that way. It's just nice to be reassured.

She bats at a strand of his long hair, winding it around a slim finger. It's a bit unfair that he got all the prettiness, but she's not petty. She kisses his fingertips and gazes into his golden lenses, utterly content.

The Dragon Master kisses her gently, and she smiles.
